Spacious room, spa facilities, good views. Dinner was fabulous.
The 'english style breakfast' scrambled eggs, bacon etc was totally cold.

Großes Zimmer mit Balkon, kleiner Spa-Bereich mit Salzwasser-Becken, direkter Strandzugang

Love everything about the hotel, our 2nd visit and all excellent. Being dog friendly too is a bonus
Lunch wasn’t great. That’s my only critique. We had Caesar salad before we left, the chicken was awful! Poor quality and full of grizzle.

Great restaurant with a very good chef

We had a lovely sea view from our room, and the balcony was a good size. Nice furniture, which included a table and two chairs in the room, and another set on the balcony. The room was very spacious - not sure about the window going from the bathroom to the bedroom, but there was a blind which could be pulled down. All the staff were lovely, friendly, and accommodating. We travelled with our small dog who was made most welcome. She wasn't allowed in the restaurant, so we asked if we could eat breakfast on the terrace. When we arrived they were expecting us and quickly laid up a table and brought us coffee. We didn't try out the spa as we're not 'spa people', but what we saw looked very calming and lovely. The hotel was well situated, right by the beach and across the road from the Etang. It was easy to walk into Canet Plage.
There wasn't anything we didn't like about the hotel. The only thing to be aware of - and this was because of the time of year we visited i.e. March on Sunday and Monday - there was hardly anything open near the hotel. On Monday lunchtime we did find a brasserie a few minutes walk from the hotel, but everything was closed on the Monday evening. The hotel has a good restaurant however, but because we couldn't take the dog in the restaurant we used room service, which was very good and quick.

The room was very large with comfortable furniture and a magnificent view. The meals were delicious. The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly.
The wifi signal in the room was not very strong.

This is the last hotel on this long stretch of beach extending from town south, so you enjoy close proximity to town, but an unspoiled view of the Medertanean and a big open beach to the south. The staff were so friendly and outgoing (despite our pathetic command of the French language). In every interaction, they went out of their way to make the stay, experience or meal that much better. We forgot our swimsuits and although they had a few suits for sale, they kindly recommended a sports shop up in town. The restaurant was outstanding food and service. The bartender was super friendly. Given the very reasonable price for the rooms, we were not expecting much and instead had a delightful short stay and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The pool table was a nice touch outside the bar too!
We really liked this place in the off season (not a critique of the hotel), there is a huge occupancy capacity in this town so, I am not sure if our experience would be the same during peak season. I would have preferred the indoor pool to be a little hotter (closer to hot tub temperature), but that's kind of stretching. If that is all I can come up with as a downside, that should speak well for the place ;).

the suite is enormous with beautiful view! the spa is not so big but very nice.
spa hours for kids are not convenient , no kids menu in the restaurant. the food in restaurant is overpriced and not a big choice.

1. The location is directly on the beachfront, with only the pedestrian promenade between the hotel and the beach. The "superior" rooms have a direct view to the sea and you can hear the waves; idyllic. The rooms are spacious and clean. The espresso machine in the room is a nice touch. I highly recommend booking the "half-board" option: the cuisine was top class.
2. The pool area was nice and it was never too crowded during our stay.
3. The entire staff is professional and friendly: from the reception desk, to the dining service, the pool area and the cleaning staff. It was always a pleasure to interact with them. During our stay there were interns (from a professional waiter school) helping out with the evening service. It was cute to see them doing their best, and the senior staff was always close by to correct any mistakes.
4. The breakfast is rich and varied.
1. No vegetarian menu offered for the half-board: while the fish and meat menus were delicious, I would have liked to see the same care put also into a vegetarian menu. I am confident the French cuisine can handle the challenge.
2. It would be nice if in such a luxurious hotel more care would be put into the sourcing of the produce (especially for breakfast). I would have liked to see more organic and locally sourced products. The guests of this establishment can clearly afford to pay a bit extra for organic and sustainable meat and fish...
3. The bed and couch mattresses were deformed and clearly at the end of their life; not the most comfortable sleeping experience.
4. The following point probably only applies for travelers from countries with a strong sauna culture (which is clearly not the case of France :)). If you are used to northern Europe sauna facilities, you have to lower your expectations. There are only two small saunas: one dry and one wet. Neither is particularly hot, and you have to wear the baiting suit at all times. Moreover, basically nobody uses a towel in the saunas, which means that the wood in the dry sauna looks objectively disgusting, with a lot of wet wood pealing off, sticking to your skin or filling the space between the planks (at first I thought it's dead skin from the other users and I was completely freaking out, but then I realized it's only dead wood). If one ever wonders why in German saunas the nudity and towel usage rules are strictly enforced, then the sauna at the Flamants provides the perfect answer. Now, this being said, despite this inconvenience, I still had sauna every day, but I used two tiny (yest they only offer tiny) towels to separate me from the trenched wood.
