The staff were wonderful, our room was very clean and comfortable and the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was fine and what we expected. Overall, the hotel is a bit dated but you can tell the staff are doing everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.

It appeared to be a family run hotel and nothing was too much trouble. You booked the time you wanted Dinner and Breakfast and it was all good value for money. The rooms were excellent - I shared a Suite and my brother had a double room both were spacious and comfortable.

The Breakfast was cooked to order and a well presented full English with tea and toast. The host was gracious and made an effort to check everything was OK. There was also a nice Georgian communal sitting room for the evenings to either watch TV or chat in comfort, a small private bar was available to guests next to the sitting room.
There were no real issues as the price was very reasonable and the rooms were very clean and well presented, although I did forget checkout was 11.00am prompt and needed a gentle reminder from the front of house. The decoration is consistent with the style and age of building and as advertised.
Pleasant surroundings and a refreshing quiet nights rest.

The two ladies who attended to us and served us were lovely. The room and the food was good. The grounds are lovely. Very clean and a good bath too.
The downside was I had pre-requested oat milk and was assured I would receive it, however, what I was actually offered was soya milk (the waitress said they are the same thing - which they are not). Also, the breakfast menu doesn't offer much for vegetarians/vegans.

Great breakfast and very attentive staff.
Annoying bathroom taps and sinks that constantly splashed us.

Dog friendly, with lovely grounds. So easy to stay here. Very friendly staff - feels welcoming and homely, with a real sense of style. Felt unique and special unlike a hotel chain.

Nothing. I booked the Hotel on the 8th of October, and told them it would the early hours of the morning. I said roughly 12:30am, the receptionist told me not to worry as it was 24 hour reception . As it turned out, i arrived at 02:05am and no one answered the door as it was locked. There was a number to ring in the event of the front door being locked. I called and called until 03:30am and left three messages saying how tired I am waiting for someone to open the front door so i could get in. So after an hour and a half I gave up, so I took the decision to drive home exhausted. Half way back home I get a call saying sorry I was busy.!! I can guarantee you he was sleeping. I told the man how angry I was that no one answered the door or answered the phone either. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN......

A delightful hotel and exceptional service by very dedicated staff. Great standard of interior, cleanliness and comfort.
Breakfast was requested to be well cooked by my partner, however on both mornings the cooked breakfast didn’t look it and the bacon particularly would have been enjoyed if cooked more.
Evening meal was very rich, maybe it was my choice from the menu, unfortunately it made me feel very uncomfortable. A great shame as I didn’t attend my second evening for dining.

On arrival we were met by three lovely ladies. We were late so after checkin immediately went into have dinner. T Bone Steak and stroganoff - both absolutely delicious - could not fault the food. Room was very comfortable - amazing shower over bath - very powerful. Beautifully equipped room. Overlooked side garden
Full cooked breakfast - porridge (apparently very tasty), de-caf coffee.
One lady showed us to our room - not necessary but very charming.
Possibly that breakfast was only served until 9:15 - ok for us but possibly a little too early. Rose wine not great
