Een beetje teleurgesteld in stad en verblijf

De ligging

Onze gereserveerde kamer bleek niet gepoetst te zijn, nadat vorige bezoekers vertrokken. Toen we dit meldden kregen we onmiddellijk een andere kamer (met een compensatie van 100 kronen). Maar deze kamer was, zelfs met de compensatie de prijs die we betaalden niet waard. En, we waren in de veronderstelling dat in een bed & breakfast ook de mogelijkheid was om te ontbijten, dit was niet het geval.

Ideal location and beautifully clean

It was a quick pitstop here for me, as I was only in Esbjerg for less than 24 hours, and the guesthouse was perfect for my night's stay. The location was great - in a quiet street a short walk from the city's main shopping area and restaurants - and my room and the communal areas were beautifully clean.

The bed was a little soft for me, but that's personal preference, as I prefer a firmer mattress.

Nice and cozy, nothing fancy (which is not a bad thing!). Simple B&B (haven't tried a breakfast though), exactly what you need to get comfort sleep.

Pros: Close to center and train station, clean room.

Cons: shared bathroom, pricey, paperthin walls, coudn't sleep because of neighboors and sounds in corridor, by the rules you have to take off bed linen wich is strange for me as I think it should be done by housekeepers.

Sweethome has a strategic position in the city? close to the pedestrian area of Esbjerg, the stree of shopping and restaurants.

Better than nothing - but I guess all Denmark is like this.

Access codes everywhere - we actually did not see anyone from the property, so you cam say that you have intomacy.

It was too cold diring the night - maybe for the locals the temperature was fine. ai also did not like the type of “shower” wheee all the water goes on the floor. Pillows were awfull - considering the price they could at least invest in decent pillows and bed linen.

We really liked our cosy and clean room :) the bathroom was well equipped and really clean. We didn't use the kitchen but it seems that's there's everything you need for a really good stay in Esbjerg!

Great little guesthouse in the middle of Esbjerg. Shared toilet facilities but the rooms are immcaulate and birgit is a lovely lady and very welcoming

Very nice stay during our motorbike tour, we would certainly come again!

We stayed one night at this very cozy guesthouse. Our bedroom was spacious. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. The guesthouse is located close to the downtown. Restaurants, harbor and shopping miles are within walking distance. The breakfast was very nice, with a variety of delicious and nutritious foods. The owner is exceptionally friendly, we really enjoyed chatting with her. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse to others and would also stay there again!

Superb

Friendly host, easy check in and good communication. The garden is nice to chill. Besides the passage of people during the night, the location is very good and really close to all the restaurants, bars, etc.... Bathrooms were outside of the rooms, very spacious and comfortable. It is also nice that guests can use the kitchen. We enjoyed our last night in Denmark here!

It was hard not to make noise because of the doors. The room was pretty noisy too, noise from outside (party people on saturday night) and the room next door. But it's an old house with wooden floors and doors which makes it very charming. 😀

Does not touch Hotel Ansgar but was nice for a change. Relaxing garden...

“What did I think of the breakfast?” you say. Good you asked that question. As a B&B it was the worst breakfast I have ever not had! Help yourself to a bowl of cereal and milk is in the fridge does not constitute breakfast. No coffee, toast, fruit etc. When other hotels (not b&b’s) can offer a proper breakfast I feel like help yourself to cereal is using COVID as a poor excuse to drop service, yet the price stays the same, more than local hotels! But, the garden is very nice, staff at great distance - by message are friendly.
