The kindness of the staff

Good was good and staff friendly.
Bathroom had dust all over and room smelled very musty and it was all clammy with humidity.

The hotel is in a lovely area. The room was huge and the bed very comfortable. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful. The hotel is very dog-friendly.
The villa we stayed in hadn't been used in a while and so there were some small teething problems but the hotel dealt with them speedily.

Isolated location in a quiet area with easy access to the highway to reach any of the nearby sites. The hotel includes access to various amenities, like the spa, pool, and courts. We opted for the half-board and the breakfast and dinner was fantastic. The dinner menu included in the half-board did change each evening and the food was excellent. We ate each evening on their outside terrace, with our dog laying next to us, which was a nice atmosphere. The selection of wines is great, including both local and regional wines.
Our room had a small terrace in the back, separated from the room with glass-sliding doors, with fake grass and both seating and laying areas, which was very nice and added space to the already large room, giving our dog plenty of room to relax and stretch.
The actual main building of the hotel is also beautiful and a treat to see.
Considering the cost, I think the half-board option could include a more varied menu or at least a beverage.

We loved Maria at the front desk and our waiter / somelier Gedion! The food was quite pricy but really good.
The wine menu was all Spanish, but very good choice.

The evening meal and breakfast was very good and the wine recommendation was also very good, this is a very comfortable hotel with pleasant staff.
The hotel offers a lot of sports facilities, so the sports centre was busy however, the hotel was not as we were the only people in the restaraunt for both the evening meal and breakfast.

The staff, dining room and grounds were wonderful.
The facility is old and renovated but patchily. The bathroom is beautiful but poorly lit no way to get a towel dry between usages and no turn down services. So soggy cold towels. The floor felt grubby because there was little option to wipe feet after entering room. The bedroom was spacious but sterile.

It's a beautifull hotel located between the sea and the mountains. Fantastic garden and pool. Breakfast and Dinner are very good (they have a very good chef in house). It's quiet and provides a lot of privacy. Simply love the place and my children adored the pool. Rooms are very spacy and we had immediate access to the pool (convenient for the kids). Location wise it allowed us to visit Reus, Taragon, Cambrills and even hike in the mountains (you need a car obviously). The hotel has a private parking which did add to our comfort and peace of mind.
All was perfect to us. Nothing to dislike

The best part of the whole weekend was the service from the staff at the restaurant.
The property is very run down and in my opinion can not be considered five star by any means.
The rooms were not particularly clean. Mark’s all over the walls and stains in the bathtub. The outside terrace almost had an unfinished feel to it. And privacy from the adjacent rooms terraces is pretty much non-existent.
In the room itself there was no functioning air conditioning, both nights we had to sleep with the terrace door open just to be comfortable. In the mornings it was next to impossible to sleep in due the noise of staff in the corridor.
The on sight spa is also far from spectacular. Again generally unclean and untidy. The was visible dirt and grime on the bottom of the spa pool, and rusted metal fittings. The steam room was unusable purely due to a smell of mould. And the whole facility just appeared run down. Also whilst getting a massage treatment the only thing that could be heard was the sound of the tennis club.
In summary this was all in all quite a bad experience. And I definitely feel that this hotel should not be considered a five star venue. They are charging five star prices for a two star experience.

Welcoming front desk, great architecture, lovely large room, complementary cava
Restaurant didn’t open until 8.30 so 9.00 before you start eating.
