Best location in Mundaka, very convenient and comfortable.
I liked everything

Hotel Atalaya was so charming, also the front desk person, also the town of Mundaka. The hotel was built in 1911 and retains its charm of the era - while having all the modern comforts for a stay. We loved the atmosphere of our room - soothing colors and seaside vibe. Breakfast was excellent. The free parking is a real bonus. Everything in Mundaka is walkable from Hotel Atalaya. We only wish we had been able to stay longer, and would love to return.

Got a light room as requested. Nice setting near harbour.
No real facilities available. Beds were not comfortable.

I was so delighted with this hotel, it’s quaint and charming in all the goods senses, and immaculately clean as well. The classic furnishings are just what you would hope for in a 1911 beauty. Another party checked In just after me and they said they were equally surprised and pleased at what a lovely hotel it was. All the guests there were quiet and respectful so very peaceful all around. The family running the hotel was also very friendly and helpful. Fernando? graciously helped me out a few times. This turned out to be one of my favorite hotels in Spain. Everything just came together beautifully.
Mundaka was also a beautiful seaside surprise, my cab driver in Bilbao was justifiably over the top when he found out where I was going. I also went to Gernika on my departure which was very close.

amazing location! Parking!! best views of any hotel in town. most accommodating staff.

Beautiful location, quaint hotel, very helpful staff
The noise levels were diabolical. The annual fairground was literally under our window and between 430 and 11 each night it was so loud we could not even talk to each other inside the bedroom with all the windows closed. On the second night, the fairground was dismantled and from 11 until about 5 am there was a generator which was so loud it felt like it was in the bedroom and noise, shouts bangs that you would normally expect if you were asleep in the middle of a building site. The staff explained that they had warned anyone reserving directly for that week, but apparently booking.com was not able to relay the information to people booking through the platform!!! We had little sleep
and much discomfort on the first day and literally no sleep the second night, and at €165 per night, it was not what we expected. The hotel gave us a small discount, but not enough to compensate us for coming back from a few days away more exhausted than before we left…

very nice Agatha Christie hotel! big chairs with squeeking steps. very friendly receptionist, nice parking, nice balcony with superb view. Coffee on request.
you better skip continental breakfast. you have to share 1 croissant and 1 pain au chocolat. you receive un pain with some tomato marmelade? coffee is great though. You are not allowed to sit outside (even if you ask it nicely)
