Pool was very enjoyable,

The food at the restaurant was very good and presented well. The proximity to the beach was great.
It's off season and maintenance seemed to be more important than guests. The pool was not clean and would have been nice to use, but, didn't feel comfortable getting into a green pool. One even had a crab on the bottom. No Lounge chairs were available at the pool or open bar. The beach was great with only a few other visitors. Potential is there...needs updating in the rooms.

This is an older resort, mostly for promotion but the owners live on the property so the restaurant is excellent, cows mooing on one side and waves crashing on the other......DO NOT GO IN THE OCEAN....The staff is excellent, show them love with good tips and your time there will be much more enjoyable!
I love everything, been visiting Las Olas for 10 years+

this was, maybe, my 20th time staying here... as always the staff are freindly and considerate! The property is getting a bit dated.. but overall the rooms have been updated and are extremely comfortable! The food is pretty consistently good!
We love the traquility and peacefulness of the resort!
The grounds and outside of the resort are a bit neglected and dated... but over all it is a beautiful space.

Beautiful walks along the beach, nice food at the restaurant, polite staff and clean room.
Great value for money.

Beach is amazing.
Pool was dirty. Not enough staff to maintain the resort. TV wasn't available. Room needed repairs.

Location, direct access to a rather remote part of the beach. That's it!
Dear ladies and gentlemen, we stayed at your resort for one night. I already mentioned my feedback to your staff at checkout - they asked me to come back the next day when the manager would be there (interesting suggestion, when a guest is checking out!). Later I wrote a message via booking - no reply after a month.
If you want to be a beach resort and charge the prices you do, I expect a certain standard at a hotel like yours. This did NOT meet expectations: only 2 beach chairs for all guests. Sleeping on a plastic covered mattress made me feel like camping on an air mattress. Eating with wobbly plastic cutlery at breakfast is not a resort experience - besides the horrible impact on the environment with the amounts you must be using over the year.
This is my point of view. However, what I think is unacceptable is mould in the bedroom. Unfortunately we had this in our room (103)!
Fellow travelers, I don't write reviews often, but I feel the need to save you money and bad experience on your hard earned vacation time. I could continue my list of: the guests above us flicking their cigarette buts on our terrace, the thin walls, the noisy ventilation system next to our room etc. - but instead I just recommend: don't stay here!

The food was excellent.
No beach chairs, not enough chairs at the pool. Far from everything. No telephone in the room, no english channel, no fridge no coffee maker

I loved the apartment with the stairs, the balcony and the wonderful view on palm trees and the barqueta beach with its beautiful waves! The pool was just a few steps away so I could switch between pool and beach in just a short time. The staff was extremely welcoming, I would like to thank especially Alan and Manuel for their extraordinary attention and solution focused service during the stay of those 2 weeks.
The barqueta beach invites for long walk on the beach and impresses with wild waves and stunning sunsets.
Will definitely back next year for another time out and recovery from daily city life! Gracias por todo.

There is a very nice pool area, gym and restaurant. I liked all of these things - but nothing was nicer than the friendly helpful staff and the beautiful family atmosphere and welcoming environment for people of all ages.
It could be updated - example- not enough electrical outlets in the rooms.

Nice view on the beach, well located resort, clean rooms, beautiful garden at resort and sandy wide beach about 2 minutes walking from resort. At reception were kind and helpful. Restaurant was also very good.
The drinks at pool bar were not so good, expensive for drinks served in plastic glass, the stuff didnt understand english, the pool needs to be cleaned more often.

Great location for a quiet getaway -- especially if you live in nearby Boquete and want a quick beach stay and then a PriceSmart run on your way back home. :) The staff is friendly and helpful. Some of the areas are a bit tired, but with their location next to the ocean and salt air, and the need to reduce staff during the pandemic, it's all totally understandable. Everything is super clean. Tourism is starting to bounce back in Panama and these guys will be busy.

beach front, really quiet for relaxing, delicious food, lovely sunsets
swimming pool needs maintenance or renovation

Accommodation etc. was fine
But the whole stay was spoiled by the cage outside containing one macaw and one parrot. The cage is awful, dirty and absolutely bare. Those unfortunate birds have apparently been there for 12 years or more, there is no foliage in the cage and nothing whatsoever to stimulate them. These are highly intelligent and social birds. It is nothing but cruelty to keep them in these conditions. I would ask the management to please, please find another more suitable home for them as soon as possible. I am quite willing to help and in fact I've been in touch with a number of places to see if they are interested. I really look forward to hearing from you.

The place is very comfortable, a lot of nature near to you, near to the restaurant so you will see them while you are enjoying the food. The beach is near to the hotel (just a couple of steps) and if you don't want to go there you could swim in the pool that is located near to the restaurant.
They served local food that is delicious and connected you with the area.
Is true that nothing could be perfect, so I have to say that we found some little things that could be managed to make the experience better. For example, some marks of oxide inside the room - I guess it would be due to the proximity with the ocean - and this oxide made opening the balcony difficult for my family.
Maybe acquiring a cable tv service could work with guests that want to stay in the room.

Right in front of the sea
Decor is old

Good place if you want to disconnect far from everything. There is everything there and the view on the Pacific is very beautiful. Good cocktails at the bar.
The pool was not enough clean.
Noisy (local ?) people the evening (late) at the pool with loud music.

Very relaxing, great location on the beach. Friendly staff, clean and well maintained property.
Food and Beverage could I have been better. Food is not exceptional and my impression was that staff were mostly newly hired and inexperienced.

my 4 day, 3 night stay was excellent! This self-contained resort offers solo travelers (like me) couples and families a peaceful, well maintained, satisfying experience offering various activities, tours, food - drink choices, coastline, etc! The staff is very cordial and went beyond what I might normally expect (but certainly appreciated) to make my arrival, stay and departure hassle free! I plan to return with girlfriend in November!
