We stayed as a 3 generation family of 6 adults and 4 children. The property is beautiful - I am disabled and the ground floor house, veranda and pool are completely accessible for both a wheelchair and mobility scooter. These are accessed by way of a gentle slope from the parking area. There is everything you need for a holiday - towels for showers and pool, cleaning products etc. Just take yourselves. The children adored the pool and were hardly out of it. Esther & John (the owners)are very warm & welcoming as is Wednesday who is the property manager- who responded within minutes when there was a little problem with a lock on a door. The main shops are about half an hour away by car although there is a small supermarket about 10 mins away but who wants to shop when you're in beautiful mountains, in the peace glorious quiet (kids in pool exception of course).I would thoroughly recommend you book a stay in this delightful property - and an extra recommendation if, like me, you are disabled. It was perfect

Our long-awaited family vacation to Huerta Ganga
Back home. Thank you very much Esther and John for such a nice week. If someone is looking for a quiet place, with enough space for 10 people, wanting to enjoy the family and without fear of catching the blissful virus that is making it so difficult for us to see the family and get together, Huerta Ganga is the ideal place. Very comfortable. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils, the pool is a joy and seeing the sunrise and dusk is priceless. I hope that we can repeat this experience in a not too distant future. Goodbye for now.

Huerta Las Ganga
Unas vacaciones perfectas

Fantastic hospitality
We arrived very late on a Saturday. Esther advised us that all shops were closed on a Sunday. Which caused a slight worry. However Esther had helped us arrange for her friend to complete a shopping trip for us, just to get us enough food until shops re opened on Monday. This is true Spanish tranquil. The terrace is most certainly a benefit for the hottest times of the day. From the terrace its possible to sea the ocean. The local village Comares is a beautiful sight with panoramic views of the surrounding areas. The village has a supermarcado and a pharmacy. With bars and cafes to enjoy your evenings. The drive up to Esther's House is quite daunting for beginners but if you've driven the mountain areas of Spain before you will be fine. Once you get around the nearest bend to the property you can't miss it. It glows up amongst the beautiful scenery.
When you arrive. Be prepared to put your foot down to climb the steep drive way to the property. We nearly burnt the clutch out.
Esther is a fantastic host and was able to supply anything we needed or advised us where we could get them from.
Although we hired this place for our family of five and my sisters family of 5, we wouldn't need such a big property again. However Esther is most certainly a lady to stay in touch with if you vivist this area often.
If your the type of person that need air con and don't appreciate the insects in the evenings, it's advisable to where lose light cotton clothes in the evenings and use all fans supplied around the property. We did get a few bites during our stay here but it's a price you pay for such a beautiful scenery.
We will most likely visit Esther and John again in the future. Thanks for all your support.

Wonderful
We, a 5-members family with 3 kids, spent 8 days in Huerta Ganga. We were looking for a quiet place with all the amenities of home. Huerta Ganga was a true finding that met our expectations completely. Easy to get there. A great and spacious house in a very quiet place amidst nature. The pool is very well-kept by owners, even quality of water was measured during our stay. Believe us, there is no need for conditioned air, a cool breeze runs over the house and it is simply a pleasure. Comfortable beds in good taste bedrooms. Clean restrooms, showers work perfectly. Landscape from the terrace is spectacular, especially at sunset and sunrise. The landlords are wonderful and lovely. You can feel they are always there to help while keeping your privacy. They even could anticipate our needs. Those figs, cucumbers and pumpkin that Esther gifted us were delicious!
Comares is just ten minutes away by car and people are very kind and familial. Very good location, only 120 kilometres away from the city of Granada and 30 from Malaga. In conclusion, we couldn´t have a better option for a peaceful holiday. We are from Spain and we know that many rural places in Spain are not as authentic as they were because of tourism. If you want to discover real rural Spain and enjoy nature and peace, Huerta Ganga is a must.

Absolute bliss.
The 9 of us (4 adults, 5 teenagers) had the most wonderful stay. The house is HUGE, full of charm, brilliantly designed, surrounded by stunning views, and with easy access to lots of great activities ( zipline at Comares etc.). It is impossible to feel anything other than relaxed and happy when you're there. We did make some day trips to the coast for water sports (e.g. SUP at Nerja) and loved those days... Especially because we returned to our own haven in the evening. The house has everything you need - space, pool, gardens, fully equipped kitchen, bbq, ...table tennis table in the shade... And hammocks.. chilling in the hammocks.. Sigh. We were so sad to leave... It really is a slice of heaven.

A little piece of paradise.
Beautifully maintained property, very calm and relaxing with wonderful views. Out host Esther was so helpful and provided food for our Sunday arrival as no grocery stores were open. Lots of space and cool breezes, property is shady at the right times. Pool is refreshing. An ideal base to explore southern Spain, but be prepared for narrow windy roads throughout the region. Comares is a very pretty village with amazing views, but we found the only hotel restaurant expensive. Excellent hiking trials in the region. Pure relaxation.

Tranquil, stunning property in beautiful setting
From the moment we arrived at the house we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves due to being given a lovely welcome by Esther and John. A perfect getaway to meet with all the family. Stunning location with the village only a couple of kms away which has remained unaltered over the years. We did not cook as much as we would normally do as the food and drink provided in the small piaza bars and restaurants were of top class quality for very little money and all the villagers (even though they did not speak many words of English) were very welcoming and helpful. The scenery is breathtaking; a little too breathtaking on some of the roads (being a sheer drop either side in some places!) We would highly recommend this house and part of Spain. We could contact the owners whenever we needed; they provided food for our arrival as Sunday is definitely siesta day and popped round with the odd homegrown vegetable and fruit from around their property. Thank you to John and Esther for allowing us stay in their beautiful house.

Beautiful, spacious, airy with a superb view!
Our group of 10 had an excellent holiday! Incredibly high summer temperatures this summer, but we kept at a comfortable temperature on the huge shaded terrace, overlooking the mountains. There was masses of space for people to read, play cards, do puzzles, snooze, eat and drink. The pool was gorgeous, not massive if you’re after getting your exercise, but great for games, and short cooling lengths.
Everything had been thought about in terms of practicalities, comfort, ease, making the most of the shade, and the view. Up the hill was Comares, a beautiful, very friendly village with places to eat and drink, and a small supermarket. There are some small circular walks from the village, which you could celebrate completing with a lovely cold beer in the square! Our big outings were to Madrid and the Alhambra, and to vibrant Malaga, both of which we enjoyed very much. (Book well in advance for the Alhambra). For the sporty amongst us, the keen cyclist road very early to keep cool, but the roads were smooth, views incredible, with lots of hills! The runners, also headed off early for a hill run to the village square and back, again fabulous terrain to look at! We then all collapsed and spent the days chilling and enjoyed spending time with each other in this beautiful place and location. Have to admit John and Esther had superb books, and it was a joy to see all their collections of things reflecting their musical and artist selves. Everyone we met was warm and friendly. Stunning location, beautiful house, very friendly people, totally enjoyable!

Wow what an amazing place
Feel so privileged to be able to stay at this wonderful place, Esther and John were very helpful and friendly, we loved the wraparound Veranda which has a cooling breeze in the heat of the day. The table tennis was a big hit with young and old alike, we had many family tournaments, and loved the beautiful big pool with amazing views
What’s not to like
We hope to return.

Fantastically tranquil villa with amazing views
We were a family group of 10 who came here for a reunion and Esther & Jon's villa was simply fantastic! There's a real homely vibe as soon as you enter the house which made everyone relax instantly! The whole layout of the property is amazing with lots to explore, not least the gardens with its almond trees, but the shaded patio and the pool area were simply wonderful. Sitting around the large custom made dining table on the terrace with breathtaking views over the mountains and surrounding villages is something we hope to do again soon! Nearby Comares village is very charming and we had some great meals here as well as striking out to Granada for the Al hambre. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home and for all the advice you provided on the area.

A perfect, tranquil retreat in the sun
Fabulous villa; it really felt like home with all the facilities you would want. We loved the variety of places to relax in the sun and shade; the large outdoor dining table, swimming pool, hammock and table tennis as well as many nooks and crannies to sit in.
It is so comfortable and peaceful; the house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the view is breathtaking and changes with the light at different times of day.
We felt like we were in a sanctuary; a perfect retreat.
Jon and Esther were so helpful and friendly; they answered all of our questions and told us about everything going on in the area. We couldn't have asked for more. Ages ranged from 16 to 66 and we all loved it.

A wonderful mountainside retreat
Esther's house is magical. Set into the side of a mountain, with wonderful views of the olive and almond tree scattered valleys and peaks (and beyond, the sea), you could call this large property with a good sized pool a 'villa'. But its multi-levelled layout, with terraces, overlooks and balconies and its relaxed, hippie-vibe with cosy nooks and wood-burning stove, speak less of a grand villa and more of a home. The creativity and positive spirituality of the couple who designed and built it is apparent everywhere you look. We highly recommend this home as a special place to stay on your vacation.

Beautiful amazing space
This villa is amazing. Loads of space, there was only three of us so we had three rooms we didn't use!
It has everything you need, if you want something and look you'll find it somewhere in the property. Bedrooms are very clean and spacious, each with their own character but different. Each day we seemed to find something new around the house. The pool is brilliant, clean and always the perfect temperature. We loved the gardens and ate lots of almonds grown within the property. I had a lemon from the tree for my gin & tonic and it was the best I've tasted. I can't recommend this place enough, we played table tennis every day and enjoyed the amazing views you get in Comares. The owners Esther & John were very welcoming and available if you need them but not intrusive.
Would definitely return as villa is the best we've encountered in Comares. I would also say it would be great for large family groups but you would also still have your own space.
It's well worth the money.

A piece of pure bliss
Home from home. Everything about this place was just perfect. A comfortable, well equipped and welcoming place. Lots of books, games, instruments, table tennis, pool, spices, homemade jam to just make things so easy...... So easy in fact that you may not even feel the need to venture too far. In fact we didn't!
Other than up to Comares which is a lovely unassuming mountain top village. Would recommend a refreshment in the stunningly beautiful hotel in the square or for an amazing yoga experience with Esther's friend Despite the intense heat when we were there, there was a lovely breeze each eve The balconys on each of the bedrooms were another lovely touch Stunning sunrises!
Would truly recommend Just wish we'd been there for two weeks!

What a great place to stay
We would like to thank Esther and John for a delightful 2 week break in the Costa Del Sol. The pictures of the villa do not do justice to the delights of staying here. This is our last evening and I am looking out over the hills towards the sea and the picturesque landscape wondering why we are heading home. We have two young girls, and they have loved the pool (me too), feeding the fish and exploring both around the property as well as further a field in Malaga and the surrounding beaches. The peace and tranquility here is great, only the sounds of crickets and maybe 10 cars or bikes passing by each day. A car (we hired a convertible, kids loved it) is essential for those days out.
I can recommend this as a pleasant secluded break away from the hustle and bustle, but it is only an hour away from the beaches and Malaga.
Thanks again to Esther and John, a great place well looked after with a fantastic pool area and terraces to eat and enjoy outdoor living. First class.
