Booked the Wrangham House as we were going to see Sting at the Scarborough open air theatre. Lovely building, friendly staff and great location in the village.
Has its own fully stocked bar and restaurant. The full English breakfast was perfect.
Close to the church and, while it may not be to everyone’s taste, the bells toll every quarter hour which took me back to simpler times.
Wonderful surprise as the room had a four poster bed.
An hours walk to Filey through countryside and along the beach. Perfect weekend getaway
Has a Dolce Gusto coffee machine in the room but no kettle so making a cup of tea was a challenge

Breakfast…..good.
Bathroom facilities very cramped.

The food was very well cooked & tasty
The king size bed very comfy
We were made very welcome
Great parking
We were advised the bath had a shower but, this turned out to be a hand held one & therefore showering was not an option because the water went everywhere.
Would have liked more choice at breakfast

Really Good Breakfast. Lovely house and location. Comfortable and individual with some interesting features like a 4 poster bed!
bathroom was a little small and the bed was rather hard.

The location was ideal with ample parking and beautiful gardens and surroundings. The building was very old and quirky which was fun. We were greeted with a superb welcome and everything explained clearly, The bed was super comfy and had memory foam pillows and mattress. Plenty of toiletries and bottles of water. The hotel had a bar and restaurant which we didn't take advantage of due to the nature of our stay but appeared popular with other guests.
The room was a bit shabby and had a distinctive"old building" smell but wasn't unpleasant. It had a lot of creaking floorboards! There was no hot water for a wash in the morning with only a trickle so a hot shower for me would have been a disaster had I needed one! Breakfast was as expected but for a full English, no beans, no hash browns, only one rasher of bacon and no bread and butter! Plenty of toast though!.
3.5
tucked away of the Main Street in a quiet spot behind the church
nice place but could do with a bit of extra TLC in places.

Everything about this place is perfect. The host Peter and the staff are brilliant. The room we had (5) was gorgeous with a comfy bed, huge bathroom and a separate TV room to chill in. The bar has a real fire. We had our meal here and both had steak which was absolutely beautiful and I was persuaded to try a few of the wines and settled on a lovely French one. The breakfast was also very good. Then off for a walk on Filey front to clear our heads x

The location for us was great. The room was clean, comfortable and well kitted out for all our needs. The bathroom was exceptional and a lot more than we were expecting for the cost of the upgrade to a private bathroom.
The mattress on our bed was very uncomfortable, we only stayed one night so was manageable. For a longer stay something would need to be done about it. There was also no hot water from the bathroom sink but we reported it on check out, they were very apologetic and intended to get it fixed.

Very friendly and helpful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable and clean bedroom and lovely public spaces. Excellent breakfasts and dinners
Had a lovely stay and everything was good - if I'm being picky it would have been nice to see fresh flowers in the public areas and tissues in the bedroom would have been handy.
