If you want to be calm and enjoy a good atmosphere, "la natura hostel" is the right place for you! its warm service staff is very friendly, the hostel offers tubing and surfing lessons, swimming pool and kitchen... comfortable rooms and breakfast.
It is located in a central place, just a few minutes away from the beach, mountains, and rivers.

Such a cool hostel, with loads of plants and everything made out of wood. It was very chilled, probably a good choice if you're looking to stay off the main strip and relax somewhere quiet.
I asked reception if I could stay an extra day, and they quoted me a much higher price than I'd paid for my first two days. When I asked why they said it was because it was the weekend, even though Booking.com showed the price to be the same. I didn't appreciate that, and would have thought they would want to reward customer loyalty!

The pool was great and the room a decent size with comfy beds, the included breakfast was also good.
The rules in the hostel were very strict, no guests, no washing clothes, kitchen locked after 9 with no access to any food or drinking water you may have etc.. However what really ruined it for us was the rudeness of some of the staff, we received xenophobic comments from one on the day of our checkout. After being told "you do relaise checkout is at 11 right" in a condescending manner, we were told that "I don't know how it works in your country, but this is not how it works in South America". Bearing in mind we had already checked out of our room and only had our stuff on one of rhe benches downstairs one hour after checkout. We would have had no problem leaving, but weren't informed we needed to leave, the message could have been delivered in a completely different and less condescending way.

This hostel was super cheap and allowed us to budget nicely. Breakfast was included and it was quite substantial. The pool was great - the perfect place to cool off on a hot day. The kitchen was very big and a great amenity to have if you wanted to cook. Staff were very friendly and kept the hostel extremely clean.
The noise!! We had a private room and there was a 4 inch gap between the ceiling and the walls of the bedroom, which meant that sound from the other rooms was extremely loud. For example - our room was in between two others and we could hear everything from both rooms, as well as the rooms behind. There were a few nights were guests were extra rowdy and kept us awake or woke us up in the middle of the night. Because of the gap it sounded like people from the rooms next door were inside our room. One night we could smell smoke from the room to the left, as if someone was smoking in the room!
We asked for laundry to be done here and paid the equivalent of €7 for it - it was returned smelling unwashed, almost damp.

The staff was extremely friendly and wanted to help with all matters. The rooms get cleaned everyday and the pool area and kitchen were also very clean
The power went out multiple times every day so no wifi and ventilation during that time but in the evening they turned on a generator. In the nights you could hear some animals scratching on the roof or walls which was noisy but acceptable

good location, okay breakfast. good value for money, good WiFi signal, room ok clean. good with mosquito net and two fans
had to pay for filtered water, shared kitchen dirty with many flies, pool should have a little more water and get cleaned more often

- good location
- good breakfast included
- big kitchen
- nice pool
- quite clean
- good to connect, but that always depends on the people there of course
- kitchen was closed after 10
- the hostel area was very dark in the evening, so the hostel seemed a bit dead at night (no social vibe)
- rooms were pretty warm (but that‘s quite normal in palomino) / very thin walls to the other guests

Super well maintained and clean facilites, including a lovely pool area. Owners are very kind and helpful - they turned on a generator during a blackout so I could have Wi-Fi to work. So nice!!
It's really a lovely place but the guests were mostly couples, and there was no social vibe. The rooftop dorm isnt enclosed so there is noise & light from the street (but with earplugs it's fine)

The hostel was nice and Enri was good and helpful. Really good location just away from the main street, but very close to walk for all the stalls, bars, restaurants and beach.
The hotel had a cosy feel with large trees, almost felt like were in the forest. Swimming pool was good and refreshing, though basic. 1.3m deep.
The room didn't appear to hve been swept before we entered and had to shake sand off the sheets before we used the bed.
You can hear the other guests in the next room very clearly. Our neighbours had an alarm go off every 20 minutes from 4.30am !! Unfortunate as this spoilt our stay.

The older maintenance man and the breakfast girl were very lovely
The room smelled mouldy and there was a lot of dust, insects and leaves on all the beds in the room. I dont know if this is part of the "La natural" hostel name? :D
The girl at the reception The receptionist has given your best and was very friendly. But she did not understand anything and wanted the next day even 5,000 pesos only so that she watches my bag for 1 hour. I don't know if she is always like that or if she partied too much?

The pool is nice and refreshing in the heat. The decoration of the place is great.
The guy during check-in did not tell us anything. We didn't know where the bathrooms and showers were among other things. Another staff helped us later on, she was very kind. One fan was broken.

Henry was super friendly, the hostel was nice and breakfast was good.
Nice clean pool, only the shower there didn’t work.
Rooms were fine too, no AC but that seems normal in Palomino. It was ok with a fan.
The power went out a few times but this happened in whole Palomino we think, so not really their fault.
Sometimes there is loud music by the pool but this also seems normal in Palomino and if you ask to turn the volume down then that’s no problem.
