AROUND THE LOCAL AREA.
Fowey has much to offer the visitor of all ages, there are many places of interest not only in the town but the surrounding area too, The medieval and Tudor cottages, narrow steep winding streets with glimpses of the shimmering river below, busy with yachts and boats; cobbled walkways perfumed with flowers from hanging baskets and window boxes and the quays bustling with life, all help to enchant the holiday maker, many of whom choose to visit year after year.
The Fowey Estuary must be one of the most attractive and unspoiled parts of Britain's South coast. The peaceful Fowey river is surrounded by many miles of lovely open countryside, much of which is in the ownership of the National Trust. There are many walks around the Estuary with its quiet waters, green woodland and mass of wildlife which can be enjoyed all the year round.

Super communications and accommodations. There's no better place on earth to stay for a summer getaway than Readymoney beach. The owner was lovely and the neighbor was friendly and so welcoming.

We’ve just come back from a week at Seaweed cottage and absolutely loved our stay there. The cottage was well equipped, clean and in the perfect spot for our two boys and spaniel.
We loved having the cove almost to ourselves in mornings and evenings as well as meeting new people and spending days in the sea and on the beach in the day.
The kitchen was very well equipped which we appreciated as we cooked there several nights to keep costs manageable.
Fowey was lovely, and the cottage and the cove have a place in our hearts now.

No better place to stay in Fowey!
Just incredible. There is no where better to stay in Fowey. You wake up to the quiet beach, a swim in the sea, coffee from the shop right next to the house, a guaranteed parking space and just everything you'd need in the very cosy, quiet, beautiful cottage. We found it super easy to explore all of Cornwall from this cottage. Stunning sun rises and a short stroll into the town for evening meals/drinks. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

Amazing location, lovely house!
What a fantastic break for us all. Our child loved the beach and we were on it every day for a short break or all day, and straight outside the door we had walks for our dogs!
Short and lovely walk into Fowey and the cottage had a large contained garden for our dogs and child. Amazing views from the bedrooms, kitchen dining area and garden.
Bathroom is tired but has great water pressure and kitchen was extremely well kitted out with a lovely gas stove.
Only item missing was a BBQ which would have been very handy. Couldn't fit our portable one into the car so had to use disposable ones which isn't ideal.
You won't be disappointed if you stay in this lovely part of Cornwall.

Perfect location
Wow!! We have never stayed anywhere with such a view! In the blue bedroom you can lay in bed and see the amazing views and fall asleep listening to the waves!
On arrival the fridge and cooker hadn’t been cleaned out, food and stains etc but we just emptied and cleaned it. The cottage is quaint and very homely. Would benefit from mirrors in bedrooms though for ladies and a full length one somewhere upstairs. Had extensive cooking utensils. Beds were pristine and super comfortable! The views from the garden and cottage are just breathtaking! Only steps from the beach which is beautiful. Good powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Ample space for a family of 6.
The neighbours were lovely and very helpful.
I would absolutely recommend Seaweed Cottage and we would stay here again ourselves.
Thank you Penny for all your helpful communication before the holiday. It’s a gem of a holiday home!

Beautiful cottage and location
Slight issue with getting resolved quickly. Location is fabulous, practically on the beach which we enjoyed every day with the dogs and kids.

Lovely cottage in amazing location
My son counted 52 steps from the beach!
So nice to have the spacious garden with furniture to enjoy outdoor meals with a view.
The cottage was more spacious than we were expecting and very well appointed.
We loved our stay.

Just what we needed
This was the perfect location to stop, and unwind. An abundance of wildlife in the garden, excellent walks to keep the dogs happy, and only a 10 minute walk in to Fowey for provisions. We also managed to get all three offspring together so good family time as well.

Fowey....
Been coming to Fowey, and area for over 25 years, had my Honeymoon at the Fowey Hotel and first anniversary. Staying in many different cottages in Fowey, Bodinnick and Polruan. Love the whole estuary and surrounding area..
A dog friendly Ready money Cove and Seaweed cottage was just perfect, the beach kiosk was fantastic and watching Will the Polruan pilot taking the big boats out and back in again was always fun to watch.
Seaweed Cottage is stunning, the location, the layout the garden. Fantastic and perfect spot. The days are filled with fun on the beach and the evening are perfectly relaxing with the whole beach almost to ourselves...
Really had a great relaxing time..

Seaweed Cottage
Seaweed Cottage is in a great location on the beach. The garden is secure for pets and has easy access to the SW Coastal Path and the Saints Way. Easy walking distance into Fowey where there are great places to eat.
The cottage was clean, welcoming and very comfortable. The only downside was no mobile reception for Vodafone.
Would recommend to friends to stay and we will be back.
