The cooking experience and having dinner all together.
It was dirty, out of date installations, not well maintened. Far from city centre.
Small doorms, and two bathrooms for several dorms.

- zwembad is goed ter verkoeling
- ‘gratis’ avondeten is heeeeel lekker
- ontzettend aardige mensen die leuke dingen voor ons hebben geregeld (tegen een goede prijs)
-
- kleine, vochtige kamer wat niet fris ruikt.

Friendly staff, close to the kandy lake
It felt like it wasn’t cleaned after the last guest.
An almost empty water bottle stood in the bath, bedsheets weren’t clean, we found some slimy stuff sticking to the wall (dk, what it was)

Except Location Nothing was likable
The Staff is Thug they force you to pay for the services you haven't took. At the end when you calculate your bill and rectify them they Insult you. Thiefs they're. Many tourist narrated the same story to me who stayed at this place. I won't suggest this Hostel to anyone. Plus they gave me male dorm bed which I haven't booked. I booked mixed dorm which was big.

i m scared of dog and i never feel comfortable coz of "Phobia" if i am with pets specially Dogs. i was staying in hostel and 2nd nights and all of the sudden they brought big dog . (I have pic too). i was so scared but they took it as a joke even they brought it to dinning area. it should be fix it and dont need to bring any animal, Specially when someone have "zoophobia"

I had a great time at the hostel. The cooking class in the evening was really interesting and the food delicious! Their very friendly Tuktuk driver Baba showed me the city as well as the Nelligala temple outside of the town which was very interesting. He also helped me out big time at the train station, huge support! Thank you, Baba and all the hostel staff!

great location and facilities, the cooking class was great however we found the staff to be a tad creepy as we saw them taking photos of girls in the pool

Lovely place with lots of backpackers. The free cooking class in the evening was always awesome and the couple that runs this place is extremely friendly and supporting.
My single room had mould on the walls, I asked for another room and was able to change rooms after one night. A few days later they painted the room, I had complained about, completely new and were thanking me for my feedback. Wow!
Depending on the number of backpackers it can be a little loud, which is quite usual for a hostel, I guess.

probably the pillow is a little outdated.

Excellent value for money. We had a private room with breakfast and dinner included. Dinner was delicious and there is a cookery demonstration every night. Good WiFi. Outdoor pool available but we did not get to use. Staff were friendly.
Bedroom was comfortable and we had a private bathroom but the bedroom and ensuite didn't feel very clean. It was fine for 2 nights but there wasn't much attention to detail and the walls were damp.
Cooking demonstration would've been amazing if we could have been more hands on and helped to cook.

No individual lights in the beds, and only two toilets

Couldn't get enough of staying at this amazing hostel.
Laying down by the pool with a beer after a busy day outdoors, relaxing myself and the amazing tasty curry and rice you get to eat every night after the cooking lessons.
Friendly owner and staff
Just wanted me not to leave

Nothing, i have no complaints 😁

Staff was super friendly
Breakfast wasn't bad
View from roof was good, it was all green
Super small rooms
Not very clean
In general the environment didn't look good
Shower wasn't good too
Uncomfortable stairs ( in case you have heavy luggage)
And there was no charging point near my bed. Some beds did have it but people still couldn't charge their phones as they had to move their bed for it , which made the room even more tiny.
