The impressive gates give you a taste of what to expect. Within a stunning 13th century building, our room, Prima Vera, was huge and exquisite, with dual aspect gothic windows, antique furniture and designer decor. The ensuite bathroom was equally spacious. Paola (lovely lady) runs a quirky guesthouse in the grounds of her family's grand mansion. Breakfast is buffet style, enjoyed in the shared kitchen or outside on the terrace. The conservatory pool is deep and a lovely treat on a hot day and the patio is a wonderful place to sit with a book in the sun. Conversations with other guests, happily bounced between 4 languages. The recommended Osteria delivered tasty and affordable food. Would return to this guesthouse, tomorrow!
You need to be alert, driving down the narrow lanes to access the property.

We are delighted with this villa. When we arrived and saw the large columns and the huge wrought iron gate that slowly opened and we entered the park, I felt like I was in some other world. A forgotten world, a world of fairy tales. The builders have tried to capture every bit of the past. Every single room is like a museum. So beautiful with preserved old furniture, dishes, fireplaces, books, clothing, a symbol of wealth in the time of the Renaissance. You really are transported to another world. The villa itself from the outside and the huge park are stunning. When you are here you can imagine and feel the atmosphere of the then kings, queens and all such wealthy people.the cherry on the cake was Paola who welcomed us so warmly, prepared a delicious breakfast and one evening when we were hungry and the little one saw a delicious cake in the oven, Paola allowed us to eat.
Thank you Paola for this amazing unforgettable vacation

Beautiful quiet location, very peaceful. Character and charm in the buildings and extensive gardens. The owners were lovely and friendly and as we did not have a car, even gave us a lift into the town. Very accommodating. We had a lovely room and a huge bathroom. The breakfast was good with fresh homemade cake and scrambled eggs. Also fresh fruit and coffee. Would highly recommend this accommodation.
There wasn't anything not to like.

The location is ideal if you have a car. It's just outside Lucca (10min) in a very peaceful and beautiful green setting right next to a gorgeous old Tuscan villa, which the offered us a free tour through!
Our room was really big, with beautiful views. Breakfast with home made fresh cakes, fresh fruits and plenty more, so very nice. Restaurant recommendation of a nice typical and fare priced dinner was very useful.
Bed is too soft. We left with back aches (also partly due to the beds we slept in before our stay at this hotel). The pool appears in the pictures, but was not mentioned to us at our arrival and did not seem in use (looked very dusty).

Everything was just perfect. The hostess was incredible friendly and nice. Everyday we had fresh and homemade breakfast, even homemade cake. The house was beautiful and the area was even more amazing.

Perfect location in the small forest just minutes away of Lucca with birds singing and all kşnds of green. Both Paola and her mother are perfect and kind hosts taking care of what you need. The room was very clean and neat. By the way, thanks a lot for the small present

Don't expect a luxurious hotel, but a charming B&B in a mansion's annex. Like all old Italian buildings, the place inherited from her well-known grandfather needs renovation, but Paola looks after it - and her guests - with a lot of heart. She masters the art of being both discreet and well available, and we felt warmly welcomed. Our room and bathroom were very big, the beds good, and the English-Continental-Italian-mix breakfast varied, with home-made cake and strawberries. We loved the calmness of the place after the visits of Lucca, Pisa, the beach and natural parks, which are all well-accessible by car. Make sure to follow her local restaurant tips, it's worth it.
It's good to know that there are unattached (but apparently nice) big dogs in the beautiful park surrounding the villa, but this did not disturb us since it was quite cool when we were there.

I have travelled quite a lot in my 50 years, and still I can say with big certainty, that this has been the greatest "hotel" experience ever. It felt like walking into a film. And still Paola and her mother make you feel like you belong - thank you so much for everything, we enjoyed every millisecond of it.
That we had to go. In all seriousness, it was really fantastic. Nothing more to add.

Beautiful grounds and lovely peaceful area. Staff exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome on arrival. The lady even insisted we borrow her car to do a grocery shop. We had a 2yr old and they ordered a bike seat for the bike to travel around. Lovely people. Highly recommended.
Nothing really only you might need a car or rent bikes on site. Taxi to city €15-20 but lovely cycle in. Request baby seat on arrival if needed.

Awesome place, unique experience for those who likes the noble fashion of the old Italian villas and the stories behind them. The room was exactly the one we selected, it was fairly clean, the bed was very big and comfortable. We also enjoyed a lot the hospitality of Paola, the tips received from Andrea and last but not least Marina's tour guide in the ancient Villa Rossi. We spent very relaxing days by walking in the huge garden, swimming in the interior pool next to the room and talking about the old eras with the owners. The old villa is absolutely a priceless treasure with the huge rooms, backyard terrace and the stunning frescos.
I cannot complain at all. We will definitely go back if we travel nearby next time.

- Paola is a very helpful and smiling host and she made us feel cozy like at home
- there can be some cheese types added to the breakfast

Paola is an amazing host. She booked reastaurant for us, where we ate very delicious italian food. She also booked covid testing in Lucca for us and told us all information we needed about it. We had very pleasant stay in Villa Rossi.

What a place to stay very near to Lucca. Only 3 km away but you feel like being completely in the nature. Not any noise, big private Park around the B&B. Very warm welcome by Paola, the owner of the place. Paola was always ready to help us when needed and gave us a lot of tips on surrounding area. Breakfast can be taken inside or outside. We had big rooms, also perfect.
Nothing.

The location as well as the exterior & interior of the landhouse-villa Rossi. It is an entourage in which we as guests felt very comfortable in a relaxed high class surrounding.
Service of the family Rossy is superb.
If possible try to make the swimming pool working again. In hot weather after a day of walking in hot Lucca a dive in your swimming pool would be nice and I do think guests like we, who are looking for villa’s in Tuscany are willing to pay extra for this and stay a few extra days.

This B&B is truly beautiful. We loved our room, the breakfast outside incl. homemade pie, chill music and the area. Little paradise just outside Lucca. Paola is of great help and gave some great recommendations and they were making sure everything was good for us, being flexible and ok with personal preference and letting us having the best first days of our honeymoon. We definitely recommend!

Beautiful property and a very special place to stay. We asked if we could visit the Villa itself and were kindly shown around and told many interesting stories - really something you normally only see in a movie! Many thanks to the owners!!
The only backdrop is that of course the house is very old - heating worked excellent but there were quite some bugs flying around. Overall, would absolutely recommend if you are not squeamish and have a car, the walk to Lucca would be quite long.

Kind owner with fairy tail property. Spacious and nice rooms. We were there only for one night, if we would have more time, we would love to stay longer.
