Local place, beautiful garden with lots of birds and palm trees. Lovely 2 dogs and 2 cats on premises, all really friendly and sweet. Amazing staff, always smiling and willing to help. We stayed for 7 nights and it was great!
There is no ATM close by so make sure you bring enough cash to avoid extra trips.

You will need quite some patience and understanding because of the electricity and water cuts, staff are good hearted but things like breakfast move slowly slowly, just enjoy , have a morning walk and swimming in birthday suit before..
Small groups of locals coming at sunset with their loud music boxes, forget about listening to the ocean waves

El entorno paradisíaco de árboles y palmeras junto al mar.
Quizás las habitaciones que están un poco antiguas

Breakfast was free and was okay. Location was perfect on the beach
I actually extended my stay and after a week was bored with lack of variety at breakfast

De medewerkers die door hun warmte en persoonlijke aandacht ervoor zorgden dat deze mooie plek ook een thuis voor ons werd.

The lodge is a nice part of the Paradise Beach, where you can enjoy the sun between a lot of palmtrees and relax nicely.
Still it is a bit unclean, compared to the other beaches we saw in Gambia. Sometimes the smell of fish from the neighboring factory spreads quickly when the wind is right. Nevertheless, the Jungle Lodge is reasonably tidy but with some rubbish in the corners. The promised sea view of the Deluxe Suite can only be realized from the terrace past the pile of pallets. The whole lodge is pretty run down, more than we expected.
We only stayed for 24 hours of our planed five nights. Unfortunately, we got stomach problems on the first afternoon after eating there and were therefore tied to the room, in which the promised wifi was not even there to be found.
Around midnight the power went out completely on the entire beach, which of course can happen - but for us this meant to spend the night completely without water, without light, without a toilet etc. while being sick. It was an awful night for us due to several unfortunate circumstances.
The entire area is probably also often affected by power cuts, but the Jungle Lodge has no emergency generator. For a short period of time these are tolerable conditions. But during our stay it lasted from the evening until late the next day and when the electricity couldn't be repaired in the morning either, we quickly decided that we wanted to leave immediately and didn't want to stay there for four nights longer in this situation and with the risk of even spending more days sick and without water & electricity.
Unfortunately, this was not made possible for us so easily to leave. At first there was appeasement and delay and after hours of waiting and discussion, one manager showed up but just called another manager and after waiting for him to arrive and again talking and endless explanations he was rude and aggressive towards us. After a long and loud discussion, we got our money back and were allowed to leave the lodge.

The place is not well maintained in this season. The staff are friendly but the time I went there the place look deserted and old
Have good car park and well secure for some to be able to stay overnight The place should be lively.

I've stayed here a couple of other times. The location is fantastic - it's right on a quiet fishing beach. Very relaxing and our kids loved it. Food was great and staff are lovely - we had a lovely stay

The location was beautiful and the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful but the standard of the rooms was very poor for the money. We had booked for 4 nights but moved out after the first night and moved up the coast to Sennagambia where, for the same price we got a far better room with access to lots more facilities and things to do.
This is a budget hotel and was very over-priced for the basic facilities. They should either charge far less or upgrade the place which is in a beautiful location.

A little piece of paradise, the grounds is beautiful little jungle on one side and the beach on the other. The rooms are nice, we had the family room and there was enough space for us. We had outside space too that overlooked the beach. Food is always cooked fresh and taste really good. The best part for me is the people their. Major and Andre are amazing. Always friendly and helpful, they helped to organise my neices birthday surprise party and joined us in the celebrations. The trip is worth it just for these guys. I can't wait to go back.

Lovely staff and always looking out for me. It is exactly what I expected a basic but comfortable Gambian guest house. I will definitely consider visiting again.
Cannot think of anything

The jungle beach resort is in paradise. We were treated like family and had the most amazing experience. Highly recommend.

Large room with enormous, comfortable bed.
Room was very clean.
Food and bar ok.
We enjoyed the Gambian Drummers who were playing in the late afternoon.
Be aware that this is really a backpackers place with volleyball on the sand etc. Probably the liveliest place on the beach.
The horrendous smell from the Chinese fish factory at the north end of Sanyang Beach, carried on the northerly breeze.
The whole place feels very run-down and could do with updating
Sanyang Beach is not "Paradise". There are hustlers and a lot of half-built or shutdown properties on the beach. Doubtless Covid has not been kind, and hopefully the situation will improve.

We liked the breakfast very much - French Baguette, English sausages, egg and baked beans. Also a fruit platter was always part of the breakfast. For lunch and dinner there were plenty of dishes to choose from, both Gambian and international ones. Food was always freshly cooked and very delicious.
The bed was very big and comfortable, the showers had a strong stream, the water in the bathroom was clear and seemed to be filtered. There was a lovingly created garden with comfortable seatings. The resort including the restaurant is located directly on Paradise Beach, so food and drinks were even served directly to the many comfortable loungers on the beach.
The stuff was extraordinarily friendly, considerate and caring. They made us feel welcome and at home and we left the place with a lot of new friends in our hearts.
Nothing.

the location was amazing
the staff were attentive.
the food was superb,
breakfast was plentiful.
the rooms need to be updated. Mosquitoes a problem in the room. rooms need to be sprayed to combat this issue.
if rooms were updated I’d definitely give this hotel a 10 score.

The place and the rooms,
Breakfast, they are not well organized. We were there for two days, there are two options, eggs or ham and cheese sandwich. Second option was not available both days. Plus to this, first day we waited 45 minutes for the eggs. Second day we had a tour at 8:40. We asked the night before to have breakfast at 8:15 the next day. We arrived there at 8:15 and nobody was there. After ten minutes a day appears knowing nothing about our request. Finally breakfast was served at 8:55, they have a little chaos with breakfast.

walked out after one night place like building site, workmen banging next door room till 9pm,room we stayed in not finished needed decorating.you should check that the properties you promote are fit for purpose, never book with you again.i have known the owner cabbie for years told him the same,he should have told me the place was a building site,at leased the german girl running the place did appologise apart from that a compleat disaster.
the truth about the state of rooms, advertised as upgraded rooms, stayed there many times before before it became a building site. done nothing for you reputation.disonesty is a must in buisiness.

We had the deluxe VIP room and had our own balcony that had a perfect view of the beach. The bed was massive and the water pressure was really strong. The location is perfect and so relaxing. Not many ppl bothering you and those that come to speak move on quickly of you are not interested in buying anything. The food was amazing and always freshly cooked. I had a thai yoga massage on the beach which was a great experience.

Breakfast was an assortment of seasonal fruits, eggs, sausages or beans with tea/coffee and local fresh bread. Happy to be away from masks and restrictions, as the Jungle Beach Resort is large enough to accommodate residents and visitors who come to enjoy the beach and facilities. Staff were professional and very friendly and most helpful. The host Kebba is on hand for a friendly handshake or a chat and is very approachable. Jenny who looks after Yoga enthusiasts and manages your stay is approachable and quick to ac on any suggestions to help improve your stay in what can only be described during my stay as paradise :) 11 out of 10

The location of Jungle Beach Resort is everything you want for relaxation, access to the beach and a gorgeous view! The dinner was delicious with generous portions. The breakfast was equally generous and part of the package! Coffee or tea, eggs and sausage with bread, butter and sweet options.
