The property is located literally on the beach and offers the most awesome views of the ocean. The Cottage itself is well maintained (very difficult being so close to the ocean) and has all the modern finishes and equipment expected for a complete break. The cottage was super clean and it is kept this way by Cynthia during your stay, making a relaxing break possible. Although we had indifferent weather, we still had an awesome time, braaing, playing cards, golf at the nearby Kei Mouth Golf Club (best toasted bacon, egg and cheese that I have had for a long time)......or just simply sitting on the comfy couch watching the waves.

*Beautifully situated directly at the beach, the little stream on the beach was wonderful for our little one
*Great fireplace and braai area
*Very spacious- we really liked the high ceiling and the large bathrooms
*Great communication prior check-in and during our stay
*As with many seaside properties the house is somewhat damp with a musty smell.
*The sleeping rooms were fairly light as there is a light on the porch which shines through the thin curtains

Located overlooking the beach and river mouth makes this an amazing getaway location if you’re looking for a remote seaside stay.
The cottage is well-designed and offers a spacious lounge, open plan kitchen and a little TV nook as well as 3 bedrooms (1 master en-suite, 1 twin and 1 twin + 2 bunks). We were 3 adults and a dog and had plenty space but I imagine it could be a bit cramped with 3 couples and/or kids.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a modern fridge and freezer which is handy since the grocery store in town does not offer a huge variety nor does the one in Morgan Bay.
There is a braai in the back and the front as well as a lockable garage which gives great peace of mind. A washing machine is in the service room behind the garage but we only discovered that on the last day so we don’t know how it works.
The WiFi is good too.
The furniture is a little old and the place could do with a bit more of a personal touch but that didn’t stop us from having a most marvellous time.
We enjoyed the beach walks to the Kei river mouth which was pretty spectacular and also the secret swimming pool.
The area has lots to offer and it’s definitely worth spending at least 3 nights here. If you do, stock up with your favourite foods and drinks before you get here and you’ll have a splendid and restful time.
We also loved The Pink Lady coffee shop and The Dock restaurant in Morgan Bay for a special treat.
There’s not really anything not to like but as mentioned already above, some of the furnishings could do with a bit of an upgrade.

5.0
fantastic location, spacious cottage
A few things would make the cottage even more comfortable and welcoming: Basics such as sugar, salt, pepper, teabags, coffee
Wifi!!!
Outdoor cushions
More blankets for cold evenings
Small garbage bins in all bathrooms and rooms
Electrified garage door
Candles for loadshedding events
Toilet brushes
Books
Boardgames
Kitchen roll paper towels
Also the fact that the cleaning lady came in extremely early and well before the official check-out time wasn’t great. we felt being brushed out, literally.

The house was clean and well laid out, great location, sleeping was a huge problem, the exterior lights so bright that the inside of the house is lit up, the bedroom curtains arnt lined , so sleeping was a problem for two nights , the whole family was exhausted from not sleeping. we had to hang blankets in the windows to try and darken the rooms.
Overall a great location warm house, but not good for sleep overs.
