About this apartment rental
**Newly Refurbished in 2019**
Refurbished Studio Apartment in a traditional old stone house in the village of Kastel Kambelovac, conveniently located between Split and Trogir on the beautiful Dalmatian Coast of Croatia.
The apartment located in a traditional old stone house which has been recently refurbished. We did our best to preserve the typical character of Dalmatian architecture on the outside, however the apartment is modern and equipped to a good standard on the inside. The Yellow Studio is located on the ground floor has a double bed for 2 adults.
Most of the apartment renovated in 2019 and the bathroom in March 2016

Horrible
It's really a disgrace that this is for rent. The only thing that worked properly was the refrigerator. There were ants in the appt daily. The shower had mould and the shower head couldn't be placed otherwise. The airco blowed straight onto the bed and it made the appt very moisty. The paint came off the walls. You didn't have a bit of privacy on your terrace it was just onto the street. We're not people who are used to a lot of luxury and we don't expect much on holidays, but this was beyond imagination. And definitely way too much money xor such an unhealthy and very small appt. It's nothing compared to the pictures.
The surroundings of the beach and sea and the small restajrants though were superb. Split is an amazing town and we ate there deliciously.

Comfortable apartment in a beautiful setting
We stayed in the yellow apartment (ground floor). Dardo the owner was very helpful and friendly, emailing us with information for our stay. We had a very late arrival time but Tea the house keeper waited for us at the apartment, even giving us helpful directions when we got a bit lost!
It is a stunning location, right on the seafront. Kastela is not touristy at all, but has all the local amenities you could wish for and is a perfect location for exploring Croatia.
The apartment is a perfect base, and has all that you could wish for in a self catering apartment.
Thanks- we will be back soon!

Since it was snowing when we left Glasgow, the weather in Croatia felt fab to us, although locals were complaining about the unseasonal cold! This was a cheeky wee pre-season break and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Kastel Kambelovac is quiet - specially down on the front where the flat is situated but there are a couple of pubs and restaurants serving huge portions - eating out every night could seriously turn one into a blob! We tried cooking a couple of times which was a bit tricky given the size limitations of the kitchen area, but we managed OK. If youre looking for luxury ultra modern spotless accommodation this probably isnt for you - but it was comfortable, had everything we needed and provided a very nice base to set out from.Only one negative - the water was very dirty locally and the beaches covered in dog dirt so we never went swimming.

Highly recommended!
The information provided by the owner was accurate, including photos and helpful suggestions. It is very easy to get a bus from Split airport, which we did. Ms Tea met us at the bus stop and walked us down to the apartment. She showed us the local shop, with its own home made wine next door, as well as the apartment. She was very helpful in helping us hire a car, which we did for 4 days in our 2 week stay. She also booked us a night near the Plitvice lakes, which we wanted to visit.
There is a beautiful view from the balcony and the beach was a very short walk. We walked in both directions and found different beaches to swim and snorkel. There was a choice of 2 restaurants - both very good and a short walk away.
We took a bus to Split and Trogir, which was easy. From Trogir we took a boat to the islands which we would recommend.
The apartment was clean, but basic, which reflected the price, which we though was excellent value and made a perfect base for exploring the Castella region. We were lucky enough to be there when the local festival was on and sat on the balcony for 3 evenings listening to singing and watching dancing, while drinking a glass of wine. It was noisy when setting up the stage at night, but the entertainment was well worth it!
A perfect base and you don't need a car. We had the top apartment, so were not overlooked by anyone and the best view. Lovely romantic views in the moonlight!
No washing machine, but towels and sheets were changed after a week, and the apartment was cleaned which was lovely!
Would use the apartment again as a good base for sightseeing as well as relaxing.

The apartment was exactly how the pictures showed and what we expected - the facilities are everything you need and it is in a gorgeous location. We spent quite a few evenings just sat on the balcony, enjoying the view and watching the locals milling around.I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested.
