A nice stay, good breakfast, helpful host and lovely grounds.
Loved that it was out of the bustle and noise of Les Sables d'Olonne. Also, that it wasn't far from a ricky ocean beach. The host was quite nice. Breakfast was delicious.
Quite a climb with suitcases. Antique Furnishings and art may not be to everyone's taste.

Tranquility
An oasis of peace and quiet away from the tourist hotspot that is the Les Sables d'Olonne area in the high summer season. Clean, comfortable, with a friendly and helpful host.
Nothing..all good.

serene stay, close to Les Sables d’Olonne.
Peaceful surroundings in century old house, view to ocean with access to rocky beach. places to sit around the property. Fabulously large room with interesting art and comfortable appointments. Owner very helpful with suggestions and maps.
Unfortunately, the beautiful pool was not heated, so we didn’t use it. However, we could swim if we wished!

Rather a disappointment. But the host is very pleasant.
There was no choice other than sweet pastries and bread and jam and yogurt. As we do not eat so many sweet things it would have been better to offer a choice of cereals, or perhaps eggs and a healthy option.
No choice at breakfast. The bedroom was dark and unfortunately filled with smoke when the owner had to light a fire in his sitting room to try to kill a nest of Frelons in his chimney , the Frelons were also present in the breakfast room. He did apologise but our room smelled of smoke and our clothes and luggage too. It was a very unhealthy atmosphere to sleep in. Also we did not use the pool because it was very dirty.

a very restful stay in a beautiful house in an idyllic location
Excellent breakfast - very good bread and croissants, and a walk down to the sea after breakfast through the beautiful garden was one of the highlights of our stay. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well with the sound of the sea as the only background noise. This is an idyllic location
nothing. Everything was perfect

Quaint guest house not an hotel. The house is an attraction by itself, full of old heirlooms.
The rooms are extremely clean. There are two rooms, both with a sea view. The room on the first floor has a huge window with an amazing view. The second floor room has several smaller windows facing the sea. This room is under the eaves and very charming. Both rooms are spacious. The host is very courteous and friendly. The breakfast is continental with great bread, croissants, jams, fruit and yogourts. The garden is huge with a great view of the sea and it has an access to a pebbled beach. There is a swimming pool with nice chairs.
We were very conscious of the creaking floor boards above our heads. First floor room has a better view but not sure it compensates for the footsteps above.
