Lovely historic property in a peaceful olive grove just outside the pretty town of Ostuni. Great location, very specious room and bathroom, nice pool area and good onsite bar and restaurant. Our room was in a building away from the main courtyard and house which made it lovely and quiet, but we did feel a little disconnected so consider your preference re proximity to the main area when booking.
We found breakfast disappointing and would have preferred a buffet arrangement.

Beautiful property - hidden gem in the area - ambiance and service and food were exceptional!
AC broke, the driveway could be paved, and there wasn’t much to see/do in the area.

Lovely stay on a working olive farm. The room was comfortable with a well equipped bathroom. The courtyard, along with the pool area, is beautiful. The food at breakfast and the dinner was amazing. Staff were happy to help and make our stay enjoyable a special thanks to Cristina, Angela, Maria and Serena.. The tour by the owner before the dinner was very informative.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was absolutely lovely. The onsite pool was incredible and it was a pleasure to end every day there with a Aperol Spritz or glass of white wine. Rooms were very nice (+AC) and breakfast was good. Would come back.
The only thing we wouldn't repeat is the dinner. It was far too long (3.5 - 4 hours), and too expensive. Food was fine but the pace of the meal is what we most recall. Would recommend going into Ostuni and watching the sunset or Cegile Messapica (CIBUS) for dinner.

The accommodation was fantastic. It was very traditional, grounds were amazing and we had the dinner on the second night which was lovely.
Breakfast OK.
Not the failt of the hotel, but i was told there was a taxi service we could use prior to booking but was not warned of the cost...there are no metered taxis and only dodgy private transfers which cost 30 Euro one way to town (10 minute drive) and 40 Euro one way to the beach.

Masseria Il Frantoio is an absolute paradise just a few minutes outside Ostuni. Their hotel, pool and gardens are beautiful and lush. Dining in their courtyard in the evening was simply stunning, and we enjoyed the unique menu each evening as the chef prepared 6 or 8 course meals based on what’s in season. Breakfast each morning was also lovely, with lots to choose from.
The entire staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We extended our stay for 2 more nights so we could keep enjoying this gem of a property.
Plus, their olive oils are top notch!!

Everything was magical. The history of the place, the approach to caring for the land and as ancient olive trees; the homegrown organic food and olive oil. Oh and breakfast was delicious

The setting of fine old buildings in an olive grove. The attention that staff provided. Their desire to go out of their way to please you. The food was exceptional although I was hoping to have some traditional dishes in the degustation.

Fabulous staff ready to help with everything. Amazing restaurant where we had wonder breakfasts and amazing fixed menus. Beautiful gardens, patio settings. Great bathrooms. Director arranged off-site olive tours and tastings. Beautiful setting in an olive farm.
One side of the mattress sank in and seemed not to be level with the floor. Uncomfortable first night. Sleeping on the other side eased the problem.

Luxurious hotel ten minutes walk from the town centre with buses available if required. Cheap parking available immediately outside. Fascinating building with garden courtyard, well worth exploring. Extensive breakfast. Very helpful staff.

this was a wonderful stay at a “real” Italian farm house where olive trees were in abundance and we had a lovely tour of,the property with the owner which made us appreciate where we were staying even better! our room was delightful in the original part of the farm house with antique furniture and a great bathroom with shower and claw foot tub. we also had the common areas upstairs all to ourselves! delightful! We alsohad a fabulous 8 course dinner featuring local wines and a very special splurge.
we have no complaints at all

Staff were all FANTASTIC! The six course evening meals and wines are delicious and each night a surprise and not too filling so would highly recommend. If you can get the farm tour in the Fiat it is very informative and we learnt so much. Nice pool
No warning of no meals on Tuesday’s out of high season

The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
There seemed to be a challenge with the hot water in the shower in our room. Also I believe a more comprehensive tour of the grounds upon check-in would have been helpful. There were certain aspects of it that we did not even realize existed until we were checking out.

We enjoyed the ambience of the property, our superior double accommodation was comfortable and spacious. The large modern bathroom was
excellent.
As the weather was so hot the pool was a welcome respite to swim and relax amongst the incredible aged olive trees. Lunch boxes were available to order.
An added attraction was the special 6 course traditional dinner served most nights at tables outdoors in a delightful well lit garden setting.
The property owner Armando explained the courses to each table as they were served. A most enjoyable evening!
The staff were friendly and informative and gave us recommendations where to eat and what to see.
Our main objection was the very poor breakfast choices particularly as the accommodation prices are fairly high for the property. We understand
that buffets are no longer possible due to Covid restrictions however the quality of some of the food could definitely be improved apart from the
excellent fresh fruit that was offered.

a bit expensive compared to other masseria in the area

We had high expectations about the dinner based on reviews but it managed to be even better than expected in terms of food, ambience and service. We had planned to just have one dinner but ended up having it both nights - great value and creative dishes. The pool area was also very nice with a bar for cold drinks. Staff were always friendly.
Two nights a week they hold an apertivo and tour of the garden before dinner but no one mentioned this to us so we missed most of it. Just an honest mistake but worth explaining everything when guests check in
