What a view! . 🪟🪟 I'm

Wonderful view over a river valley and fort. Impressive architecture of the hotel buildings. Good quality food in the restaurant and bar. Polite and friendly staff.

If your room is directly below the restaurant, you will be disturbed by the scraping of chairs above till 11 pm (when it closes). There was also a strange, musty smell in the restaurant. The sofa beds were very narrow for our children. The extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working. The drive up to the hotel is not for the faint-hearted.

Amazing stay

The view and the room and the pool were amazing. One of the best hotel experiences I ever had.

Always music at the pool. Sometimes it would be nice to just enjoy the view.

Goed logeeradres in (lees: boven) Girokjaster te relaxen .

Zwembad , uitzicht , comfort en prettige ontvangst en bediening in bar en goede restaurant !

Hotel was te ver van het leuke centrum om naar toe te wandelen (zeker terug).

Fantastisk beliggenhed med formidabel udsigt over Gjirokaster. Fin morgenmadsbuffet. skønt pool-område, hvilket er rart efter en meget varm dag i byen. Kan kun anbefales.

Hotellet ligger på toppen af en meget stejl bakke (derfor den gode udsigt), men det gør transport til og fra byen vanskelig. Her kunne lidt hjælp fra hotellet være godt. Hotellet reklamerer med at der er flere restauranter, inklusive en gourmetrestaurant, men i praksis er der kun en kombineret restaurant og bar. Det vil være godt om hjemmesiden blev opdateret, så der ikke er falske forventninger.

Quarto amplo, cama e travesseiros confortáveis, smart TV, ótima piscina, café da manhã farto e variado. A localização do hotel é privilegiada para se ter vistas maravilhosas das montanhas e de toda a cidade, mas é necessário ter carro. Amplo estacionamento. Ficamos satisfeitos com nossa escolha!

De weg er naartoe is echt wel een uitdaging. Als je de borden volgt kom je er wel, maar het is wel opletten en oppassen geblazen.

The location, staff, and food were all wonderful. The included breakfast exceeded our expectations. Cooling off in the pool after a hot day was wonderful. It was a perfect stay!

The drive up to the resort is challenging (but parking upon arrival is a breeze). Be prepared to pay 1000 LEK per ride for cabs to/from the hotel to the city, and sights. Not really walkable due to narrow one-way roads and elevation.

The good, the bad, and the ugly

Mixed feelings about Kerculla resort. Let's start with the positives: The resort is situated atop a hill, offering stunning views of the mountains and the city. It seems recently renovated, with spacious rooms and an attractive pool area. The restaurant serves tasty food, especially dinner, and the restaurant staff, particularly the head waiter, are friendly.

The experience took a negative turn. After swimming in the pool, my swimsuit and t-shirt turned green/yellow, a problem also noticed by the pool attendant with the towels. Despite informing the reception about the issue, my clothes were not adequately cleaned and were returned with rips and a hole. The general manager refused to take responsibility, blaming it on my clothes and dismissing the pool problem as a result of guests not washing off sunscreen. These excuses don't hold up: 1) It's understandable for people to wear sunscreen in 40-degree weather to protect themselves. 2) It's unrealistic to expect everyone to wash off sunscreen perfectly every time they swim. 3) The pool usage was minimal, so any sunscreen should not have caused such significant issues. 4) It's the management's responsibility to find a better solution for maintaining clean pool water, rather than blaming customers. Moreover, when we tried to discuss this with the general manager, he was rude, raising his voice in front of other guests, displaying unprofessional behavior. During all of this, I was presented with the bill to pay. Given the tense situation, I only checked it after I had already paid and left, but I soon realized that the hotel had scammed me by applying the wrong exchange rate. The confirmed price during booking was 158 EUR, and I paid in the local currency (lek) which amounted to 17,380 lek. Considering the current exchange rate of 1 EUR = 101.74 lek, it was evident that I was overcharged. The math speaks for itself. In conclusion, while the location and aesthetics of Kerculla resort are commendable, the poor management practices and behavior overshadow the positive aspects, leaving a sense of sympathy for the owners who invested in creating a nice place but are being let down.

Beautiful hotel located at the very top of Gjirokaster

Beautifully decorated and comfortable high end hotel in Gjirokaster. If the weather had been better the views would have been amazing. We used the small gym a couple of times which had what you needed for a workout. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

This was a lot further out of the town than we realised, as it is at the very top of Gjirokaster. We did not have a car and did not want to keep using taxis so we did the very steep walk numerous times which would not be suitable for everyone. The pool was also being refurbed when we stayed which was disappointing.

Perfect stay

I would say this was the most beautiful hotel/location we stayed at in Albania. Clean and spacious rooms, an amazing pool with an even more amazing view over the city and very friendly staff. Breakfast is also great. Price/performance ratio is unbeatable.

A hotel I will go back to.

Exceptional view of Gjirokaster from the hotel room veranda. Swimming pools with the same view. Very good food both for breakfast and dinner. The air conditioning in the room had been switched on before our arrival so the room was nicd and cool.

The checkout is a bit early to my liking and the pools close a bit to early in the evening.

Wonderful place

The Kerculla resort is a great hotel with best services and facilities in girokaster. The view of the valley & the town is a real plus and a delight of every minute, whenever you take your breakfast, when you enjoy the swimming pool / jaccuzzi or when you get a dinner at the terrace.

It is quite confusing to be requested before our arrival to pay by cash, whereas it is clearly indicated on booking that you can pay by card. And when you can pay with Lek, the rate change of the day is not applied, instead, a "standard rate" way higher is applied.

Wondeful hotel with fantastic views over the city, citadel, valley and mountains. The room was modern, spacious and spotless. The restaurant was good and the breakfast particularly copious, with loads of freshly made produces and delicious freshy squeezed orange juice. The staff is very attentive and endeavours to cater to guests' needs. Easy parking.

Personal preference but the restaurant was a little loud as they chose to have both a football match and EDM/pop music playing at the same time in the restaurant room the evening, which made for a very noisy environment.
