About this house rental
Welcome to New Latitude ... The premier Captiva Island beach front estate. The home features six bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, one half bathroom. New Latitude is the perfect home for family gatherings and once in a lifetime destination vacation. As you pull up and drive through the winding drive, you are welcomed by native and tropical foliage on either side. It opens up into a beautifully landscaped courtyard with private hot tub and seating area. Up the stairway to the main entrance of the estate opens into your private, 44 foot!, saltwater, heated pool with two guest suites (king and queen) that open onto the pool area. Each guest suite has an en-suite bathroom and private balcony. You can't help but get swept off your feet gazing at the endless views of the Gulf of Mexico from the rows of 8 foot high sliding glass doors. You experience a gulf view from nearly every room in the house! Open the sliding doors from the pool into the spacious living area with comfortable seating, 70" wall mounted smart TV and additional speaker sound bar. The living area is part of the great room with a high end dining table and open kitchen with new solid surface, stone countertops, ultra high end appliances, coffee bar with a Keurig and Traditional Coffee Pot as well as a second refrigerator/freezer for additional storage. The main level of the home also features a media room/den/sixth bedroom with another 70" wall mounted smart TV, sound bar and sectional sleeper sofa with en-suite bath. Follow the hallway around to another bedroom complete with two twin beds and half bath. There is also a wall mounted TV to enjoy. The most exciting feature about the main level of New Latitude is the deck off the great room stretching from one side of the home to the other. This area features some of the best views you will find of the Gulf of Mexico anywhere on Captiva Island. Enjoy a meal, morning cup of coffee or evening cocktail from the ample seating areas and additional dining table. Up the stairs or private elevator, is the second level of New Latitude. On the North End of the hall is a guest bedroom with a king bed, access to the second level balcony and en-suite bathroom. Follow the hallway South and you come to the perfect room for children or younger adults with a bunk bed and twin trundle. There is another bathroom just off this bedroom as well. On the South end of the estate is your private master suite with an ultra comfortable king sized bed, wall mounted smart TV, personal washer/dryer, en-suite bathroom with separate shower looking out to the Gulf of Mexico as well as a private outdoor shower on the balcony. The second level balcony has a unique spiral staircase which leads to your private sun deck and views out to the Gulf of Mexico that go on seemingly forever. The sunset views are awe-inspiring to say the least ... you have to see it for yourself to fully grasp the beauty. As we didn't want to leave any detail out, the beach level of the home has a ping pong table, foosball, bag toss, swings like you would find at Caribbean restaurants and a short, winding path directly leading to the beach. The beach side of the property has a manicured landscape perfect for lounging in the sun. There are also tropical fruit trees lining the South side of the property further enhancing and encapsulating the Tropical Florida Beach Experience. Should you have to do any work while on Vacation, watch Netflix or listen to Pandora, New Latitude includes complimentary high speed wireless internet. Your stay also includes access to my local rental agency which may arrange rental items, restaurant reservations, trip enhancements, private chefs and anything else you may think of to add to your perfect vacation rental experience. 7 night minimum booking required within a Saturday to Saturday.

We took our whole family of 14 to New Latitude for vacation. The house has every form of beach entertainment imaginable. The beach is gorgeous with gentle waves and crystal clear water. We could have easily fit more people in the house. The pool is amazing. There were a few problems but the worst was the daily landscaping visits early in the morning. Very noisy!
The location is convenient to so many places. But you will need a car.
We will be going back! We loved New Latitude.

We have already recommended New Latitude to some of our friends. Having the private beach basically in your backyard is such a benefit. It’s so easy to carry everything that you need when it’s so close. The house has so many things to make the beach and ocean so enjoyable. Umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, paddle boards, sand buckets,… The size of the house allowed couples and individuals their own beds and bathrooms. The decks were spacious and well equipped, and a major factor was that it was clean.

We loved staying in New Latitude. Everyone had their own bed and bath. It was wonderful to have so many outdoor activities at the house and we greatly appreciated the umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, and paddle boards! The privacy of the beach was excellent.
My son-in-law did mention that the mattress was not all that great in their room (2 floor-2 master) and we did have a little trouble with the lock on the front door, but overall it was a great experience that we would like to do again. Thanks!

We have been vacationing in Captiva/Sanibel for 20 plus years. This home by far was the greatest we have ever stayed in there. Besides the roomy beautiful home and large rooms, this view is incredible!! The ocean seems to really be part of the home. Sunsets.. why leave the house. Just sit on the balcony and enjoy!! Wow. Cant say enough great things about the place and our overall experience. Remains my favorite dream vacation. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Amazing House
This property is beautiful. The pool is wonderful, the porch with seating & a huge dining table was great, and the outdoor shower allowed for dolphin watching while washing your hair. We had the most wonderful experience.

New Latitude is the ultimate beach house!
This was a dream come true vacation! Captiva has the most beautiful beaches and sunsets. Our house was perfect for adults and children. The indoor pool was so accessible. We spent most of our time on the spacious decks when not at the beach - relaxing, dining, playing games, and watching the sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in New Latitude. This house has everything you need for a great vacation!

An ideal family and friends vacation
We researched many properties that could accommodate our friends and family. This rental was ideal for people of all ages! It was right on the beach, had gorgeous views, was well-appointed, close to the village, and had lots of activities at the home itself. The property managers were quick to respond to questions prior to and during our stay. We would absolutely recommend it!

Fantastic Multi-generational Beach vacation
This house exceeded our expectations in so many ways. It was perfect for our extended family from toddlers to great grandparents!

Great family trip!
What a fantastic property! The views out the back on the huge decks cannot be matched! We had a wonderful time with a grandmother, her three kids/spouses, and 5 grandchildren. Things to note for people with littles…the pool is in the middle of the house with 6 some doors able to access it. We had two kids in our group that could not swim. We kept a close eye at all time, but the pool added an extra layer of stress to the trip. Just an FYI. Loved the 3 fridges and all the entertainment on lower level outside. Nicer kitchen appliances/finishes (coffee maker, stovetop, etc) and nicer bathroom finishes (dorm like showers and plastic sink hardware) would be nice for this price point, but the views balance it out. We had a great experience!

Staying at New Latitude was like a dream. The views from each level are outstanding. The amenities at the house are abundant and the floor plan allowed privacy, yet we were able to be with one another. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and we all would love to do it again.

Heaven on earth
We had the best time at New Latitude! It really is a piece of heaven. They had a pack and play and baby gates to help with our 1 year old. Our other kids enjoyed everything else in this property had to offer. It really is a dreamy home and we hope to visit again one day! Thank you so much!!!

Best sunsets on Captiva
A place to make memories! My favorite place that I have stayed on Sanibel or Captiva. Big enough for our entire family (12) pool kept the kids busy all day when it was to hot on the beach. The sunsets are top notch, and the view from the crows nest is next level. We will be back

Only disappointment was during COVID crisis and unfortunate inability of many of our group to travel due to pandemic, no options for any sort refund/reschedule....it really put a financial burden on those that were still able to travel. During this crisis I would've hoped to be given some sort of help in this department.

The owner of this house has literally thought of everything!! There are throw blankets, coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, board games, bluetooth speakers, bags of ice already in the freezer, beach towels, spikeball, cornhole, pool table, ping pong table, corn hole boards, jaccuzi and it goes on and on!!
My absolute favorite thing about this house is the layout. Everyone had their own space but also we felt very together. The location of the pool is so awesome! We used the pool more than we ever had on vacation because it was just so convenient to get into. In the heat of the day the pool is in the shade which was great! The kitchen is the most well stocked kitchen I've ever seen at a rental house. She even has a crock pot! Oh and I almost forgot to mention all the refrigerators! There are 3! Yes 3! We had plenty of room for all our food for the week and all our adult beverages lol! We loved having the two separate rooms with couches and tvs. The kiddos could watch a different movie or play their xBox without monopolizing the TV in the great room. The sunsets were amazing and everyone loved the top viewing deck. The shelling on the beach was some of the best I've ever seen. The outdoor shower on the top deck was so cool! Everyone tried it out at least once.
We will most definitely be back to this property!! Loved the island!

We loved most everything about the house. It could use some new beach chairs and umbrellas. They are not in the best of shape. Also, we had a few ants in the kitchen- so spraying soon might be helpful. The kitchen was very well stocked and we loved the house.

Prime Oceanfront on Captiva
New Latitude is truly a special home in a prime oceanfront location on Captiva. We spent a week there to celebrate my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. There were 10 of us, ranging in age from 76 to 13 months old. We had a wonderful time.
The house is very well appointed/equipped and was more than comfortable for the ten of us. The views are stunning, especially sunsets. We had a great time swimming in the ocean and shelling on the beach, and when the weather wasn’t cooperating, we enjoyed the screened-in pool.
The property Is in a quiet location. We saw very few people on the beach during our one week stay. The home is also conveniently located, making it a quick drive to the town of Captiva and only 20 minutes or so to the thick of the shopping and restaurants on Sanibel.
Thank you for sharing this truly stunning place with renters. We had a wonder time and made many lasting memories.

Magical family vacation!
We had a fabulous week at New Latitude! The setting is spectacular and the home is even better than pictured. Lovely views from every direction. We have rented quite a few times on Captiva and this one takes the cake. Home is very clean, kitchen well organized enough towels for everybody etc. Everything you need is here. The sunsets at this home are perfection! 10+ stars. We hope to return with our family again in the future.

We got a new attitude at New Latitude!
We loved staying in this home. Well-appointed, super clean, fantastic layout. They thought of everything. We loved the privacy- we might have seen ten or twelve other people on the beach on a given day. Proximity to the villages of Captiva and Sanibel allowed us access to people and shopping if we felt like being social. The management company was helpful and communicated promptly about any questions that arose.
