Clean and comfortable. I was upgraded from a single to a double room on arrival.
Noisy extractor fan in bathroom and thin walls, could quite clearly hear what was happening in next room.

Lovely, friendly and attentive staff. Couldn't have been more helpful. Place spotless. My single room upgraded to a small double, so very good value for money. Hotel very conveniently situated along the seafront. As I'm disabled parking onsite particularly helpful. Super salmon and scrambled egg breakfast. Food and coffee plentiful. Superb view of sea from dining room. Although I didn't use this having a bar, again overlooking the sea, is a real bonus during the day as well as in the evening.
As this is an old building there is some noise from creaking floorboards above if you are on a lower floor. There is a lift if an upper floor is required and stairs are a problem.

horrendous strong fragrance smell in the room. I did enquiry and was told it must be the cleaning products. caused me migraine and vomiting for the next 24 hours

Location to the seafront was good. Cleanliness of the rooms were good.
Whilst we booked a king room it was very small with the bed taking up the majority of space. Just after arrival I did query the small size of the room to see if a mistake had taken place, it was explained to me by two reception staff that the room was correct as it had a king sized bed in it and furthermore they went on to explain the varying sizes of double beds " 4'6" etc" several times. Whilst I agreed the bed inside the room was indeed king sized, something I never questioned, the point I was attempting to get across was the small size of the room. The bathroom was tiny and you needed to bed and twist to be able to shave, I've see bigger bathrooms in student halls. I would suggest the owners and management attempt to use them.

Great location, great views from balcony and windows.
Lovely spacious suite, with perfect mix of modern and vintage/homely feel. Very cosy, but very open and fresh.
Was expensive for the suite, but I did enjoy it and was very nice.
Although the ensuite bathroom was very nice and spacious, the shower was extremely under powered and could do with a pump or something to improve the waterflow.
