The staff were very friendly and location was good.
When paying, we were charged full blue dollar rate compared to local Argentinian price. There is a 5 star hotel down the road which was cheaper.
4.7
Loved the location and the owner was SO sweet, helpful, and accommodating!
Nothing we didn’t like but we didn’t realize it was cash only.
4.7
Breakfast was served with many choices.
Payment in U S dollars

Great welcome into this family home.
Wonderful location, fantastic breakfast and many great stories and advice from the owners.

A very small B&B in a central location overlooking a small park.
Has a small sunny courtyard to sit outside.
The very lovely Mercedes tells you everything you need to know.
Javier offers a nice wine tour.
Unfortunately our very large room had a separate bathroom with a key.
This was made completely clear to us before we booked.
Next time I will book earlier to get an en-suite.

Breakfast was average. Same biscuits and cake the whole 4 days. Fruit old.
Location very good. Felt the owner was more into making sure we had US dollars in large denominations than being welcoming. No reduction for paying cash either, considering the exchange rate.
Breakfast. No feeling of warmth and welcome.

The attention we got from the host to make sure we had a good stay and where to eat and shop in Mendoza.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about this place

A wonderful old building in the center of the town at Plaza Italia with a beautiful interior design. The hospitality of the owner is excellent.

We had an amazing stay. Very comfortable rooms, great breakfast and perfect hosts. The property is located in a perfect area for bars and restaurants.

The breakfast was outstanding with a varied table of food, and dishes made on request. Setting in a beautiful classic home, converted for rental use. Our home is your home philosophy, Family members went overboard to help use when I entered the facility ill, then left feeling better! The location is excellent, near stores and restaurants, and a short walk to the city central and walking street.
4.7
Very helpful and friendly staff. Good location, everything you need.
Nothing, all good.

We were welcomed by Javier and Mercedes owning the B&B. Their home has been nicely arranged.. the room is nice and comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The room is isolated from external noise with 2 windows. The breakfast is excellent with a nice choice.

Everything-but particularly the staff. Javier is so good, so very helpful for everything, excellent English and communication skills! For first time visitors to Argentina, he helped make our entire stay perfect!

Mercedes, the co-owner and hostess, was charming and very helpful. The property is her former residence and continues to look like a private home. It’s location on the Plaza Italia is perfect.
There was some disagreement with the other co-owner over the exchange rate to be used in determining the peso price. In the end, it was satisfactory to us. Since Argentina has multiple legal exchange rates, but at present only one “official” rate,(and the system is subject to constant change), suggest future guests have a prior understanding directly with the B&B as to what exchange rate will be used if you pay the hotel in local currency. If you are willing to hand the hotel U.S. dollars in cash (they do not take credit cards), there will be no problem, but that is by far the most expensive way to pay for goods and services in Argentina.
4.7
centrally located, easy to come and go, spacious, nice people
while we were informed ahead of time, I didn’t like that the bathroom was outside of the room.
4.7
loved the location, helpfulness of staff and the breakfast. Plumbing issue with our toilet was quickly resolved.
Our room, which was probably the last one available for the 4 nights we needed, was on the street level in the front and sometimes we heard a lot of street noise.
4.7
Location was great, near parks and restaurants.
Javier and his mother were wonderful hosts.
Bathroom was very small, especially the shower.

Fantastic location, warm and homely, and very comfortable!
Nothing, everything was amazing.

WOW! B&B Plaza Italia is fantastic! The owner Mercedes is a sensational hostess that speaks English very well. She has resided in Mendoza most of her life, and was not only helpful with suggestions, but a great person to sit and have a conversation with. Her home is beautiful and very nicely decorated. It is centrally located within a 20-minute walk of most of what the city of Mendoza has to see. It is opposite one of the 5 main parks in Mendoza, Plaza Italia, and has many nearby restaurants.
Her son, Javier, helps run the B&B and speaks fluent English. He is an expert on the various vineyards and wineries in Mendoza. He took us on 4 different wine tours with 12 vineyards (some we requested, and others he recommended) in Maipu, Luhan de Cuyo and Uco Valley. Don’t waste your time going on a wine tour with someone else. Javier is affordable, and knows which vineyards offer amazing tours, highly rated wine, fantastic views of the Andes, and splendid dinners. Two of the best tours were at small family-owned vineyards with both an extraordinary tour of their wine growing process, and suburb wine.
The breakfast is included is fresh and served in the Mercedes’s wonderful dining room. Wi-Fi worked well. The bedroom is quiet.
Be sure to bring cash. Because of the economic situation in Argentina and the daily fluctuation of the peso, the B&B does not accept credit cards. We thought we'd just go to the ATM and get cash like we've done everywhere else on our travels. The ATM severely limits cash withdrawals and charges huge fees. Knowing this in advance, just set aside the amount in cash you need ahead of time for the B&B.
I highly recommend B&B Plaza Italia to anyone staying in Mendoza. Thanks again so much for the AWESOME hospitality.
Everything was great

The most pleasant check In with la senora Mercedes.
The house is cozy and the breakfast lovely.
The location is convenient and central but also quiet. Parking very useful and easy.
Mercedes and Javier always helpful and available for advice.

My sister and I loved how quite it was, super clean, comfortable and in a perfect location from where we could walk everywhere and always felt safe. Nice breakfast. The staff are very pleasant and attentive.
Nothing to dislike
4.7
Everything. Charming house that was the host's childhood home converted to a B&B. Comfy med, lots of pillows, high thread count sheets.
You would do yourself a diservice if you do not have the host Javier arrange a wine tasting tour. He will bring you places you would not find on your own. Lunch every day was spectacular, as were the wines.
I didn't like that I could not stay longer.

A beautiful property in a great location in Mendoza city. In walking distance to bars, restaurants and the park. Mercedes and Javier were extremely helpful with bookings and a tour to a local winery. All of the team who work there are friendly and make you feel welcome. The rooms are spotless as the decoration is beautiful. We would recommend this place to anyone considering a trip to Mendoza.
The only downside about this property is they ask you to pay by cash despite securing the booking with a card. They told us this at 23:30 the night before we checked out, this was very inconvenient as it was extremely difficult and expensive for us to draw money out in Argentina. We eventually sorted the issue but I would suggest the property buy a card machine to make it easier for their guests, otherwise I am sure they will have this problem in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at B&B Plaza Italia. The owner Ms. Mercedes and her son have been so so nice with us and helped us in everything we needed. We felt like home. The place is amazing, very nice furnished and it is located in the center of Mendoza. It has a very nice patio. The room was beautiful, warm and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good. We absolutely recommend this place !

Mercedes and Javier are part of the best hosts I’ve met!
The place is very welcoming, clean, it has a great location and the staff is super nice.
I really appreciated their special attention at the breakfast with gluten free pastries, everything was delicious!
We could also enjoy the living room and the courtyard to work on our laptop, the wifi being good.

Javier was very helpful.

I loved the location, the property and the generous assistance that I was given during my stay. One day I was having issues with finding transportation to a lunch booking and the hosts went out of their way to make sure that I got there in time. I was also working remotely for a few days which worked out great. Would definitely stay here again.
