Breakfast 🥞 was exceptional and location was brilliant, we had a wedding right opposite.
Nothing, really happy and will be using again.

choices for breakfast, bathroom facilities, comfy bed and garden
customer relationship/contact could have been more better, more intimate for such small boutique style hotel.

Close to the town centre and very clean
A slightly warmer than frosty welcome after our 8 hour journey was unexpected, with a questioning on why the cab did not bring us to the car park at the back of the house, which we could not answer as we had no idea having never been here before! Definitely didn’t feel overly welcome by either of the owners and more like they were putting up with us rather than us being paying guests in their establishment.
After breakfast on our last day my husband was followed out and reminded to find the owner to settle the bill as if we would forget to do this or be rude enough not say goodbye, added to the feeling we all had of being an inconvenience.
Although the rooms were nice enough the water pressure in room 1 was barely worth getting wet for, and very restrictive early breakfast times especially for a weekend made it a less than relaxing stay. The 9:30 cut off time advertised is misleading so check this before you book if this is an issue for you.
A very curt message Informing me that some toiletries were taken by my children while I was still on a horrendous journey back to London, asking for my credit card details, was not appreciated but said toiletries are now wrapped and ready for posting back this morning.
We were only in the area for a wedding so our stay was short. If we were in the area for any longer I would not choose to stay here again nor would I recommend it based on the experience we had.
Really not what I was hoping for based on other reviews I studied before booking.

Each day our room was serviced and we were provided with fresh cups and biscuits, so we could enjoy a drink using the well stocked tea/coffee etc. The two comfortable chairs provided were a bonus, looking out of the wonderful large window at the front of the property. A lovely traditional hotel, but at the same time did not seem dated and was very clean.
Directions to the hotel car park when confirmation of booking is provided would help.

A perfect stay, thank you so much.
Lovely twin room and en-suite, well furnished, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds. Fabulous breakfast. Well run and friendly. Excellent location, an easy walk into Truro centre.

We had a wonderful stay at Clifton’s Guest House this July. Norbert was a very thoughtful and welcoming host and was able to give us local area recommendations — we went out to Mevagissey, (a quaint fishing village) for the day which was lovely.
The room we stayed in was immaculate and comfortable, as was the whole house. Breakfast was delicious, everything was so fresh and tasty. It was a five star stay for us for sure and would definitely recommend you stay there if travelling to Truro.
Thank you so much Norbert!

Excellent hosts and good breakfast. Nice showers and Wifi. Location close to center.
The bed was a little uncomfortable and small for 2 person's. Parking space behind the building was acceptable but a little uneasy to reach from the big road. But when parked everything was fine.

Breakfast was very good but a bit regimented.
Room was damp, bathroom was even damper, towels didn't dry. Bed not exactly the most comfortable. Not as clean as previously described (dust and cobwebs, dirty fabrics on armchair and window seat). Parking complicated (not easy to find and then one has to move car in order not to block others in etc.)

Everything. This guest house is absolutely perfect. Peter and Norbert (the owners) are super kind and caring. Our rooms were lovely and extremely clean. Breakfast was amazing. So many choices, hot and cold. There was also fresh fruit salad (never found something like that in guesthouses around the UK).
I could not recommend this guest house enough. We were so impressed with the high standard we found here. I never found such a great attention to details in accommodations within the UK.

A great location , comfortable room with everything you need and the hosts were very professional and attentive . We walked into Truro in the evening without a struggle . The breakfast was of a very high standard and couldn’t be faulted!
My partner found the mattress a little too firm for her taste but that was only a preference thing .
Nothing else could have been any better .
