The location literally on the lake was stunning. Jeswin was very accommodating helping with plans for my stay. Also very friendly and knowledgeable 😊
The access to the property was difficult, uneven, rocky and pitch black in the evening. However, I guess that's the price of being so close to the water. There is no restaurant on site, not even soft drinks are avaliable. No hot water on several occasions, no in room fridge or kettle.

Location on the waterfront of the Kerela backwater was superb. Staff very friendly and helpful
The bed was rock hard - like sleeping on a slab of concrete (I didn't sleep well). Easily solved with a mattress topper. No side lamps just bright lights on the wall.

The property was right on the lake with a gorgeous view! The staff were so helpful and friendly with organizing activities and ordering food for us from their linked restaurant.

We liked everything.

Beautiful wooden walls and floors, lake side serene atmosphere
300 mts from the main road … no road to the lake side resorts ..

Beautiful wooden aesthetic
No ac but no problem, I’m sure there are ac options and they provide mosquito nets so all good. Also AC could ruin the aesthetic

Fantastic place to stay - very peaceful location, Jeswin is so lovely and kind and very helpful. The canoe trip he organised for us is highly recommended - the food at the local’s home was delicious and the canoe trip was so tranquil. The buildings are all made of wood and lots of greenery it is very beautiful - would highly recommend :)
Nothing it was wonderful

Beautiful facilitets in dark wood with large verandas, just by the water. We sat in the comfy deck chairs and saw the boats pass by.
We stayed in a very small hut, by the entrance. I think the rooms in the main buildings are more spacious and comfy. Lots of mosquitoes. The electricity went out a lot. A nearby church started to play very loud music 5 am and woke us up.

People were very friendly and patient.
Accommodation was good. Nice view and comfortable. I would recommend.

The view from the rooms. The room was also very aesthetic as it has wooden walls, roof, door, windows and furniture. They have been operating for over 20 years now. Business passed down from one generation. Multiple sitting areas close to the lake.
The way to reach the property is very narrow. No direct connection so lacks parking for cars. The rooms on the first floor are priced slightly more than the ground floor. It was non AC. They serve only tea and coffee, from 8 to 10am and 4 to 6pm. Not on request. Food has to be ordered from a partner hotel nearby that adds plastic waste generated in the property. Also their roof had insect problems that lead to grain like residue falling at certain corners so don't leave your bag zip open.

One of the nicest home stays we visited in India. Jeswin, our host, was really helpful and friendly and helped us get boats and cars etc. There’s no proper restaurant but for dinner you can order in and the food is very good. For breakfast they offer a basic breakfast which is very nice.
The only thing was that our bed was a little hard but I mentioned that to Jeswin and he said they are in the process of updating them all so half the rooms already have new soft beds and the others will soon.

Location is perfect right on the water’s edge, loved the wood! - we enjoyed the views, took out a Shakira and really loved the recommended walk. Nice to have an alternative stay in Alleppey without going on a houseboat. Jeswin was so helpful with all and a pleasure to meet.
We were careful to shut ourselves in to avoid mosquitos after dark but actually there weren’t many around and we slept without the net over us (which I prefer).

Beautiful location. Staff were friendly and room lovely (&cool with air con - worth extra payment). Close for Allepy houseboat tours.

The location of the property overlooking the water is beautiful - we loved our balcony watching everything go by. Jeswin went above and beyond to answer our questions and make sure we had an enjoyable stay.
There’s no restaurant on site - breakfast is provided, but the chef was unavailable for one night that we were there. It’s very easy to order food, and the take away is delicious, but this might be tricky for some.

The staff is very attentive and friendly. They recommended lots of places and activities for good prices. The view of the backwaters is amazing.
The rooms could be cleaner and better facilities (in the bathroom).

We booked this room thru booking.com its a pretty good site.
On the check in day Mr jeswin owner? of this property did not even care to phone me in the morning why phone ?because the hotel is nearly half kilometre away from the main road and there cannot be any transporation possible. So we senior citizens pulled our baggs thru the terrain upto the hotel and then mr jeswin grins and tells us
"I was about to call you".
The room: wooden well appointed with ac and non ac options. We stayed in a non ac room with mosquito curtains. The room is nice and tidy. There was no water bottle. Even normal water. They did not ask us whether we need water. They will give you mineral water on cost.
VIEW: view is mesmerising since rooms are situated just on the banks of back water. Countless houseboats passing in your view.
BOATING: we booked afternoon shikhara boat for 2 hours. The boatman kept his lips tight and did not even care to talk to us, he was on phone throughout. No experience. Mr jeswin had arranged for this boatman and the boatman meant only MONEY.
Evening we took rowing boat thru same mr jeswin. Again same experience. No experience soon after we landed the boatman asked 'MONEY' ?
MR Jeswin asked for kaykaing for next day we said "NO THANK YOU"
DINNER: the hotel does not have restaurant and we have to order food from a quaint??restaurant from the city. I suffered from diarrhea after the dinner
UPON REQUEST ONLY THEY PROVIDED ONLY MINIMAL CUTLERY. (Kinda beggars feeling)
NOW THE NIGHT MARE: because of swarm of mosquitoes we had to ask for coil he gave one but it was off in a minute he did not even give us match box
INSPITE OF A BEAUTIFUL MOSQUITOE NET WE TWISTED AND TURNED THE WHOLE NIGHT FIGHTING AGAINST MOSQUITOES. WE DID NOT SLEEP.
BREAK FAST: MORNING COFFEE NO NO NO. Breakfast ? forget about that, they did not even ask for that???!!!
Finally Mr jeswin dropped our bags at the main gate.

Best place to stay, if you wanna have a peaceful backwater experience. The Resort is right by one lake/branch of the backwaters where you can see the boats floating around infront of you. It almost feels like you are on a boat yourself. The place does not have a restaurant but the staff is alltime ready to order in for you and you can have your meal on your balcony if you wish. Owner and staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Even they gave me something for my upset stomach as they found out that I was not feeling so well. The room was nice and clean and there was a mosquito net which helped against mosquitos, bugs and other tiny backwater inhabitants. We felt like home! Thank you for the great experience. Will come again for sure!

the location is good
but it isn’t a resort
and with all the boats it is very noisy in the morning
the property isn’t well maintained and the staff is not very co-operative. they don’t have a restaurant and you need to order from their contact’s restaurant who charge 100 rs for delivery. better to use Swiggy for food as there aren’t any restaurants close by.

Nice wooden place, with rooms directly on the canal of the backwaters, a lot of boat action.
Friendly helpful staff as well
The place is far from the city and restaurants, but it's easy to get a rickshaw to the city, or order food from the staff to be delivered at the hotel

Absolutely beautiful lake front location, with the most amazing sunrise views and opera of birds. Staff were wonderful and helpful, booking our canoe tour, ordering take-in food and very friendly.
We stayed in the budget room which was fine except the beds were a bit hard, but the other rooms do have better beds apparently. The location is a little far from restaurants so you must order in.
