I do see alot of room for improvement. Starting off when we arrived to the house. We realized the property was not actually in OceanCity, but right outside of the bridge. Which there was no mention of that about the property of else I would not have booked this house. I do not lile to be rude at all. However upon arrival we were given the incorrect code to the house. We arrived around 9 pm; meaning the Vacasa representatives were not even there to answer our phone calls, we waited about an hour outside just waiting to talk to someone. Shortly after about an hour in we finally got someone to answer out live chat. When we finally got to speak to someone who gave us the correct code to the house. Then we proceeded to realize the wifi information given to us was also incorrect. Shortly after that we did a walk through of the house. We quickly noticed the enormous boat blocking the view of the canal. They're were just many things going on in the house. To start, the bed and couched looked as if someone had just slept in them. Which was mentioned on my phone call. The couch looked extremely dirty. The smell of the house was a whole other level. The cabinets had crumbs of food on them( I also have photos of everything) it was disgusting. The smell of the water was on another lever of nasty. We had to purchase water bottles just to do the dishes amd brush our teeth. It was honestly not great and after reaching out and waiting an entire day we were refunded 66 dollars. Not cool. We

AFTER booking the stay and full refund time had past, the first message they sent me was:
"Know before you go. Homes in West Ocean City suffer from hard water which needs to be treated through a water softener system which is installed in the home. As a result, due to the location of this home, guests may occasionally detect an odor from the water or see that the water appears to be yellow or leaves a yellow ring in the toilet(s) or shower(s). Please note that this is not indicative of any type of issue and water is safe for use."
Had this statement been included in the property information I would have NEVER booked the trip.

The house has a great location convenient to the the beach, the boardwalk, and Assateague Island. It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. There were 2 kayaks and 2 bicycles available for adventure. Although the tires needed air and the kayaks need to be cleaned up. (you could tell they haven't been used in a while), but it was a nice gesture to have them there. The Vacasa staff were kind and efficient to respond with the house code, making sure the cleanliness was up to par, and communicating check-in & out procedures. I rated the home a 3 because it could definitely use some improvements. My top 3 complaints would be: the water system makes a very loud noise intermittently all day and that was annoying at night mostly. The thermostat was in a locked box and read 70 but definitely didn't feel like 70, even with ceiling fans and extra stationary fans it was uncomfortable. I like having control of the thermostat. Lastly, the water smelled very bad. It made showers unpleasant. We had to buy cases of water for drinking and brushing teeth. Overall, it wasn't horrible, it was just an inconvenience and probably not worth all the money we put out to stay there. To be honest, we wouldn't stay here again but it served its purpose...a roof over our heads and a place to sleep.

The home location was great! The home is defiantly dated. There is a lot of home repairs needed. The furnishings really need to be updated. The cabinets and dishes were sticky. I believe who ever checks for cleaning issues between rentals didn't do a good job. Even with these issues we enjoyed the great weather and had a good time.

Great area but when arrived there was clothing/undergarments and trash (half empty water bottles) behind the curtains in the upstairs bedroom and also trash underneath the beds and more in upstairs drawers. I paid a cleaning fee and when arrived to the property it was like the BARE MINIMUM was done to make everything look presentable. I would consider staying again if it was actually clean upon arrival and I don’t even want to get started on the grill. We stayed for about a week and couldn’t even use the grill because of how dirty it was no matter how much we tried to clean it. The description of this property should really be updated ..

Wonderful house on a quiet street. We stayed for 5 days to just get away. Everything was clean and close to the beach. Couch had a small spring comming threw and wish the sliding doors had screens. Besides the small stuff would definitely stay again and look forward to booking another stay.

Much better then staying at a hotel for 6 days. Plenty of room in a great location, quiet neighborhood right on a canal with kayaks provided. Wonderful feel of “retirement living”. Very clean property but will need to be updated soon, couch had broken springs and upstairs carpet felt damp. Only 3 or 4 channels available on the 1 small TV in the house. Water had really bad smell and girls didn’t like the taste so purchase plenty of bottled water. If your used to large beds be prepared to cuddle, biggest bed in the house was a full.

The house was in a great location and we loved the canal views. The only issue was that the furniture/carpet was very dated and could definitely use some updating. Would for sure rent again with a little sprucing up.

This house looked like you literally stepped back into 1975 from the furnishings to the dishware to the blender and appliances...nice place but not worth the money in my opinion unless they update the decor. I expected a lot better for the money.

Cute home, great location but the water...
We traveled to Ocean City for my son and sister's birthdays May 17 - 19. We were pleased with the home. The furniture was a little dated but it added charm. We loved the two decks with the view of the canal. Loved the bikes. The tires need some air. Everything was great until Saturday morning. When my boys went to bathe. There was this horrible sulfur smell the spread through the entire home and it truly never seemed to dissipate. One of my boys took a shower and smelled like sulfur when he finished. I contact Vasca to report the issue. I received a message from the property manager stated the home had hard water and had a water treatment unit (which cuts on loudly when the water is in use). He stated that the unit I was in hadn't been occupied in a while. We just needed to run the water and the smell should gradually disappear. This never happened upstairs. My question was, if you knew the home was going to be occupied why didn't the property manager run the water to eliminate sulfur smell prior to my arrival??? We dealt with it but my boys did not feel comfortable utilizing the water to brush their teeth so we used bottled water. Had the smell disappeared, this vacation would have been perfect. Hopefully the property manager notes this issue.

NEVER RENT THIS HORRIBLE PROPERTY
There are so many things wrong with this property, it boggles the mind. How they can get away with renting this house is beyond belief.
The water tastes like sulfur and smells like rotten eggs.
There is a deep unmarked trench in front and alongside the property filled with black, filthy stagnant water. The smell is so horrible, we thought it was sewer water.
The balcony has many loose rails that a child could easily fall through.
There is no washer or dryer. There is no dishwasher in the kitchen.
The outside lights on the side of the house was burnt out and at night, you cannot see the trench. I personally fell into it on the way to my car and had to use an entire bar of soap to get that crap off of me. Totally ruined my clothes and sneakers. The sulfur water makes a shower, brushing your teeth or any other use of water disgusting.
The stairwell going upstairs is dangerous. There are NO handrails. People could easily fall and those with some type of handicap cannot go upstairs. I could go on and on. This place needs to be shut down. No one should have sulfur water and the trench should be against the health code. It is open, smelly, disgusting and not fenced off or covered up.
We are VERY disappointed in this property. In addition, the stationary tub was not hooked up to a water supply making it totally unusable. There was no DVD player. The rental company promised they would send us the security code six days in advance. They did NOT do that. The rental company promised to notify us at 9 am the day of arrival if we could check in early. They did NOT do that either. The property is hazardous to your health and some city inspectors need to shut it down until the sulfur water problem is corrected, the balcony is fixed, the stairwell is installed and the disgusting moat around the house is either covered over or fenced in. How dare you take money from people and provide this type of completely unacceptable house. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Even better, the owners should be forced to live there for an entire year and drink their dirty, contaminated, sulfur saturated water.

Plenty of parking, nice view, that's about it
Despite being advertised as having Wi-Fi and tv, this home does not. The water treatment system is not working and the water smells like sewage. No exaggeration, you smell worse after showering, and forget about using it to brush teeth. The mattresses are of prison quality. Can easily park 4 cars off the street, and the location is quiet and close to everything.

A clean place when I arrive would be nice
When we arrived, every bed appeared as though it had been slept in the previous night...Not one bed was made. There were towels all over the place, the trash cans in the bathrooms were filled with someone else's debris. I was told that there was a record the place had been cleaned a few days before our arrival. I was also told that he (the facilities manager) was concerned because someone may have been sleeping in the house. That really made me feel safe; knowing that someone could easily get into the house and use it. Eventually, it was decided to refund 50% of the total cost of the stay. Did I mention the pictures I have of the long hairs that were all over the bathroom floors; even after it was supposedly cleaned?
