We had a wonderful time at Villas Del Playa! Location is absolutely perfect in West End, beach was great and we loved using the paddle board and kayaks! You can kayak out to the channel and have awesome snorkeling! Such a fantastic stay, we will absolutely be back!

We absolutely loved staying at Villa de Playa. The condo is beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. We spent lots of time in the pool gazing out at the ocean. The location is perfect as it's at the far end of West End, so it's pretty private but you can walk to everywhere.... And West end is the best .. within a few days you know so many of the people .. the food is great and it's just an amazing place. I would highly recommend Villa de Playa ... I know I'll be back another day and I'm pretty sure that the friends I brought with me will be back also.

Easy check in process. Good professional management. The location is perfect, close to west end but still feels private. Kayaks, pool, dock and beach are all as advertised. Would love to return soon.

Property was clean and and beds were comfortable. There was a musty smell that went away after using air conditioner for a few days to dry out. Hot water heater wasn’t big enough to fill hot tub in master bath. Appliances were good and cookware adequate for making meals. Furniture was fairly updated and comfortable. None of the closet doors shut completely and some drawers would fall out if pulled out all the way. Shower door handle fell off the first day. Property was good with small pool and right on ocean with a dock, paddle boards and kayaks which were great to use. Could kayak out a way an to buoys to snorkel closer to reef which was nice. Francisco was great on answering questions, helping out finding local restaurants, car rentals, etc. Answered any questions about the island we had and very friendly. Location was great close to West End village for shopping, eating and small markets. Lots of scuba shops, fishing and excursions available nearby yet away from the busy village area which was a 10min walk away. Some of the other condos in building had better locking features with front sliding door vs a stick in door and lock which you had to go around the building when you returned to unlock each time you returned. I liked the ground floor but would probably see if the other condo was available if we come back and chose to stay here again.

We enjoyed our 10 week stay here at Villas del Playa #2. This is a good location for beach and fantastic sunsets! The village of West End is within easy walking distance for fresh produce and pretty much anything we needed. The condo is well furbished so it was home away from home for us. The management group, Liz and Jimmie especially kept in touch with great communication for any inquiries we had. Fransico, the maintenance man, and Miguel, our night watchman, were always around to help and felt like family. Thanks to the owner who also took an interest to make sure we were looked after. My wife and I had a great time for our first proper trip to Roatan. The location of Villas Del Playa was perfect, five minutes to West End and a quick water taxi to West Bay. Our only complaint was one week went by way to quick..... :)

This was a great condo! It's a15 minute walk to the heart of West End (part beach, part road). It was clean, comfortable and Roatan Vacation Rentals could not have been more helpful. We loved being poolside and the water view was amazing. I would stay here again.

We had a great experience at this property. I really enjoyed being far enough away from the "city" to be quiet and close enough to walk. The beds were comfortable, the linens were of good quality and the kitchen was modern and equipped with all the appliances we needed.

Beautiful, quiet and recommend. My husband and I spent a week here and enjoyed every minute. The grounds were kept clean, there was security at the property every night and the sunsets were beautiful!! The house was very nice and we would absolutely go back.

Eldin was always very friendly and helpful. Condo was very nice, loved the location. The only drawback was for the first day of our visit, there was a group of 35 people occupying only five units and the pool deck was incredibly crowded. After they left, everything was wonderful.

Easy check-in, helpful groundskeeper on site. We enjoyed lounging in the pool, meeting the neighbors, and especially enjoyed our time in the West End, Roatan. Had a great trip, with bars/food/diving only steps away.

We loved the proximity to town and walked back and forth several times during our stay. No complaints about the accommodations! We really loved being in the first floor so that we could walk out directly to the beach and pool. If you are considering between villa 1 or 2, villa 1 has a door keypad that you can use instead of walking around if you are going out to the beach- not a major inconvenience but worth noting. The use of kayaks was a huge plus for us as we were able to go to all the snorkel sights that are right off the shore, but a dedicated swim distance. We will definitely return and will absolutely stay here again. We had to stay in half moon bay on the last night due to a flight change and it was way to busy for us- this place is the best of both worlds!

The Villa was perfect for a family of 4 (kids ages 14 and 10). Kitchen had everything you would need, washer and dryer were nice to have available, the view was amazing. Within walking distance from restaurants/bars. We felt safe with on-site staff. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in this condo complex! We were able to check in early which is nice since our flight to the island landed at 10 am. The ground floor location is nice as you have direct access to the beach and pool and no need to climb up and down flight of stairs. The bed and beddings in the master were great, including the pillows. My daughter did not complain about the bed in the secondary bathroom which is smaller but has a private bathroom right in it and a large walk in closet. More than enough room for 2 people. The kitchen had lots of amenities and we would have been able to cook some meals but chose not to. If you plan on cooking, definitely stop in Coxen Hole for groceries as the choices are very limited in West End. But we were able to buy fruits and other breakfast staples. Plenty of good restaurants in West End, our favorite was the Splash Inn restaurant mainly for their amazing ginger lemonade (also their $10 chicken fajitas plate which fed our party of 3! can't beat that!). Lastly, the location was very good as other have noted. Easy walk to the dive shops and restaurants of West End but out of the way so you are not inconvenienced by loud bar music. We used the kayaks several times to check out some spots along the reef. Fun! We also went to West Bay for snorkling in front of the Grand Roatan. But most of the time we were just diving with Roatan Divers which was wonderful. Great service by the management team as well, the property was cleaned. Very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend this condo to friends.

We stayed in Villa Del Playa #2 which is on the ground floor. Great outdoor living with immediate access to pool and beach. Easy quick walk to West End and water taxis. Ronnie's Barefoot Grill is right next to the condo and we would spend our evenings enjoying a margarita at their outdoor bar. The food is just okay but drinks with chips and salsa were great! You can wave down a water taxi from the pier or the groundskeeper new of water taxi driver that would come immediately when he requested. We only took a water taxi once to West Bay because it is a small hike to walk over. Mainly used the beach at the condo so we wouldn't have to deal with the local vendors trying to sell trinkets and massages. West Bay's beach is really nice but hard to enjoy yourself when constantly being asked if you would like a snorkel tour or hair braiding. The condo has three kayaks that you can use to explore the reef. We use Ocean Connections in West End for snorkeling and they were awesome. They even dropped us off at our condo pier when we pointed out were we were staying. Only $20 per person and includes snorkel equipment. My one draw back in the condo are the beds. The king size bed in the master bedroom was fine but the two twin beds and the couch bed are hard. We had three teenage daughters that were pretty cranky from lack of sleep by our third night into our stay.

VDP is a 6 condo building in the West End. Great location 5 min from the center of the West End, where there are many dive shops and restaurants. The condos are right on the ocean with an amazing view with spectacular sunsets. All units face the ocean and there is a small pool between the units and the beach. Good snorkeling in the Blue Channel, a 10 min kayak ride from the condos (3 kayaks for guest use). I have stayed in the 3 bedroom penthouse with family and the 2 bedroom pool side condo when it was just the two of us. These units are great with excellent air conditioning, washer/dryer and TV's in each room. Bring spray for the sand flies, but otherwise sit back and enjoy the view! If you want to stay active you can arrange diving and fishing shops to pick you up at the VDP dock. Also water taxis will pick-up/drop-off at the dock. And there is a security guard at night and Eldin, the caretaker, maintains the grounds and will help you with luggage and groceries that need to be carried in. Finally, Liz and the Roatan Life team will help ensure your stay is worry free.

It took me a long time to finally write this review following our stay on Roatan in March of this year. I struggled with sharing how great this island, the locals, and our rental place was. I wanted to keep it a secret so that I could book it again without worry of it already being booked in the future! Villa Del Playa was better than we expected and the pictures don't do it justice. Amazing views, right on the beach, close to everything (we walked into town daily), clean, well appointed (had everything you need from towels to utensils), great staff day and night, and that vacation vibe that helps you relax. West End is full of restaurants, bars and shopping. The food was amazing and there is plenty of different options. There are loads of water activities at your doorstep from diving and snorkelling the Blue Channel, to kayaking and paddle boarding. Once again I am hesitant to promote this property, but that is just me being selfish. Book this place. You won't regret it. Mike

My husband and I rented this condo for 10 days. It's absolutely PERFECT! -The view from your porch is great for watching the incredible Roatan sunsets -The condo is located on the very quiet end of town. You will never be bothered with noise from restaurants or roosters. Town is a very easy walk....approximately 10-15 minutes from all of the amazing restaurants, dive shops, etc. There is a great snorkeling spot in front of the condo called the Blue Channel, where you can take the free kayaks out and snorkel at your leisure. The pool was very clean and refreshing after a day of diving. The water taxis will also pick you up directly from your dock. -Master bedroom is very comfortable: the bed, large closet space, plenty of dressers for unpacking your clothes, flat screen TV (which we never used), etc -Master bathroom has a very hot shower, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and soap -Kitchen: The kitchen has everything you would ever need: pots and pans, koozies, dish towels, coffee maker, dishwasher, icemaker and so much more! -Living room: very comfortable with a very large big screen tv (which I think we used once), games, foam rollers, etc. -The rest of the condo: we did not really use the guest bedroom or bathroom, but it was very nice and also had a view of the beach. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit which is nice if you need to wash some laundry. There is no daily housekeeper for the inside of your condo, but that is something we really like because we like to have our own space. There is plenty of extra towels, blankets and sheets if you need clean linens though. Eating: the street food is really good, Creole's Chicken, Anthony's Chicken, the Pizza Place, the Thai Place, Cannabal, Beachers and for a nice dinner, head up to Oasis (you will not be disappointed). Drinking: Beachers, Blue Marlin, Coconut Tree and Booty Bar :-) Diving: HIGHLY recommend West End Divers! They are a great shop and very professional. You can also ask the captain of their boats about fishing charters. Cayo Chochinos - HIGHLY recommend. Some of the bluest water I have ever seen, great snorkeling and local meal. People recommended Ruthless Charters, but we rented a local boat, and it was an amazing day! Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this condo! I would highly recommend to any family or friends who will be visiting the West End. Thank you to Roatan Vacation Rentals and the owner for an amazing vacation!

The location was fantastic!!! It was close enough to walk to dinner/dive operators/nightlife but just outside of the West End "craziness" to be quiet. It was very easy to get a water taxi to and from West Bay, day or night, and our on-site gardener/fix-it guy was able to call and arrange a water taxi if needed for a specific time. The kayaks were perfect and the reef off of the shore was tremendous for snorkeling. The condo itself was beautifully appointed, clean and well stocked with everything that we needed to cook and do laundry. The pool was perfectly maintained as well as the sun deck. Eldon did a beautiful job of keeping the area clean. The only thing that needs some work is the dock. It was a little rough and uneven. Fine for adults but probably not for small children. Overall, we loved it and would happily recommend it to any of our friends or family. Just as a side note, West End and West Bay are VERY different. Although close together, west end has a cool Caribbean vibe while west bay has the posh resort feel with rows and rows of lounge chairs packed together. My husband and I prefer the Caribbean vibe and it didn't disappoint. You can walk the beach between the two but there are some rocky areas to cross that would be difficult for anyone with balance difficulties, physical limitations, and small children. Just as advance warning 😬

We had a wonderful week and would definitely recommend the condo for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation close to West End and all its amazing dive spots! The condo is well situated, very private and quiet, yet just a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants and activities you need. The water taxis will even pick up and drop off at the dock out front if you don’t want to walk the beach to West Bay, although it’s a nice walk. We arrived just after what we heard was an unusually bad rainy season. The road to the condo was a total mud hole. I just wish we had been informed not to rent a car because it was impassable and you don’t really need one anyway! We had to spend half a day taking the car back to the airport...bummer. Also the internet is extremely slow and sporadic, but not s huge issue because we didn’t use it much as we were out having fun all day anyway

The condo is beautiful and has everything you need for an amazing vacation. No need for a car. West End is just a minutes walk and the water taxi will pick you up literally at the end of the dock in front of the building. This building is also at the end of the main road so it is removed from the night life noise. Best of both worlds and the condo itself is bright, clean and very well maintained. PErfect!

The property is clean and well maintained. I felt very safe and enjoyed the short walk to town. The only downside was the rain and the road leading to the unit is terrible. Having said that I would not hesitate to return in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villas Del Playa and would return again in the future. The location is perfect - quiet but within walking distance to West End. We ended up renting a Jeep but it is not necessary. The unit was clean and well kept. The onsite personnel were wonderful. Detour Roatan (Jaime) provided all the recommendations we needed. Overall a great place to stay on Roatan!

Condo was so nice. Well made concrete building (can't hear the neighbors) that was very well furnished. The condo was a great size, with very nice comfortable furniture. The king sized bed in the master bed room was very comfortable. Nice TVs with bluray player. Very nice patio with a breath taking view with a nice hard wood table to enjoy the breeze and breakfast and view. The grounds were clean, the maintenance man, Eldin, was very helpful and spoke pretty good English. The most under talked about aspect of the condo was the how UNBELIEVABLY good the snorkeling was right in front of the condo, a spot called Blue Channel, literally one of the best spots on the island and it is right out front. The kitchen was first class, very nice refrigerator (with an ice maker, which is a must for mixed drinks), the range, microwave, and dishwasher were all very good quality newer models that worked great. The kitchen was also really well stocked as far as glasses, plates, pots, tools etc. The AC was nice and cold and the internet was surprisingly fast. The location of the condo was perfect, a very short walk to all the shops/resturants/bars, but on the west edge of West End, so very little foot traffic in front of the condo, and pretty much never even hear a car. Also the sunsets were drop dead perfect. Everyone was very helpful, informative, and nice. The only complaint that we had, was that we could not stay longer. Recommendations: Restaurant Oasis (all the food), The Thai Place (lobster PadThai), Vintage Pearls (its at Bananarama and the Sunday Brunch is awesome), Ziplining in the jungle, Snorkeling (get someone to take you to some of the shipwrecks), Chestnuts Gourmet Coffee (very good locally grown and roasted).

This place was amazing. The staff was great, helpful and nice. Our condo #1 was the best it was on the ground floor the access in and out was great. You have two doors you can leave from facing the beach and one in the front of the condo. This made it real nice because you didn't have to walk around the condo to get to the pier or pool or beach if you were headed out for the day. The condo had everything you needed to make it through the week. Elden did a great job keeping the grounds and the pool clean. The snorkeling was wonderful. Just get Elden to help you with the Kayak paddle out to the reef and tie off. The diving is wonderful on the island. In my opinion the guided eco tour was not worth the money. The diving is. The boat rive out to Cayos Cochinos tour with Caption Ray was worth every penny. We ate at the Argentinian grill was the best. We went to the Thi place, the Beach club and Splash and dive they were all good . Splash and dive gave you a lot of food but in my opinion Argentinian grill was the best. I would love to go back to this condo. It is close to everything but still off the beaten path. My husband made me come home. I was willing to stay and find a job. :)

We made a good choice with this condo. It was well furnished and had everything promised and needed. Steps to a beautiful beach with water as clear as you can get. The night time security guard was a comforting feeling. Easy to locate via our rental car, walking distance to town and water taxis. The staff at Roatan Life Vacations was great! Great communication, helpful with excursions, directions and suggestions. Couldn't have asked for a better trip.
