Friendly welcome. Staff could not have done more for us. Great location.
Nothing.

We received a warm welcome and the owner went out of his way to assist us with our bikes as we were there for a triathlon.

The hotel rooms are located at the upper floor of the pub. The staff was helpful to lead me to the room with the keys. She explained any detail of the service. The room was provided basic refreshments. An electric fan was provided in the room as well, so you will be worried with hot weather. The location is at the high street, easy to access other shops, cafe and other attractions.
The bathroom just provided basic facilities of shower and bathtub. Hot water needs to be waited for a while.

Great location for Thorpe park. Only a 10 minute drive if that

The history of the hotel the friendliness of the staff and the location.

Great helpful staff, accommodation spotless and big rooms. Will definitely state here again.

Warm welcome from friendly staff. Large room with everything we needed. Real ale and good food, what's not to like! Good location for our visit to Brooklands.
If being really picky, in a room that sleeps 4 people, 4 mugs would be good rather than 2 mugs and 2 cups. Also a pack of biscuits for everyone in the room.

It was ideally located to visit Chertsey Museum, the reason for my visit, and for other local amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Elaine and Phil. I like to stay in a traditional place with history.

The architecture of the house. The room. There was no breakfast and that is just oke. Dinner was very nice. The terrace where you could drink a beer and so on was attended by visitors from the neigbourhood and all kinds of visitors. Very nice.
Very important is that we could park our car on the premises.
We had to prospone our visit for a year because of severe illness. In the mean time the price had gone up with 20% (same price for one day less)

Location, quiet, parking, clean
First bedroom/kitchenette had no window so ventilation/light was reduced

Friendly staff, nice room but very stuffy due to old windows.
Parking is a pain

The pub part of the hotel is good.
No proper light in the room - very dim ambience. Bathroom’s one of the lights was not working. The towel and quilt didn’t smell fresh. The worst part was shower did not have enough water force.
4.1
The toilet in the room needs sorting out as the seat is not the same angle as the toilet pan the shower isn't very good in fact it's very poor and the bed was not very comfortable if I was paying £30 in night it would have been good but a hundred pound a night not good
The cleansing staff was brilliant and very helpful

The property was well situated for both easy access to the local amenities and also close to our day trip to Thorpe Park.
I was very frightened after a drunk resident kept trying to get into our room . After sometime my partner went out of our room to see who it was and to access the situation . A man wearing nothing but boxer shorts was there , very drunk and said to my partner he was going to sleep in the cleaning cupboard outside our room. This situation was not acceptable.
On calling the manager of the property he has told me that he did end up sorting the resident as he was walking on a flat roof outside and the flat roof was above his living quarters . Other things were said but no point . Apparently he only had two pints in the bar however I find that hard to believe due to the fact how drunk the man was . I have put photos on to show the cupboard the man was in .

In a nice wee town. Room was standard. Noticed some things in the room could be doing with a good clean. The gentleman that greeted us was nice and polite and told us some places to try. For the money the room was fine. Wouldn't stay any longer than a night. Felt a bit eery. Bolt on door was useless as the top part had fallen off.
Was good enough to stay for the night. Honest review.
As said above.

Was in a good location for what we needed and staff were extremely friendly and nothing too much trouble.
Unfortunately we were in a room in the front of the building which had sash windows and because it is a listed building it seemed they were the original windows, so we didn't sleep great due to the constant road noise outside. The ceiling and bathroom need a little attention and updating, but that didn't really put us off

amazing personal, nice cosy hotel

Room very quiet and comfortable.
I loved the bar- very characterful and excellent real ales on offer.
No complaints.

convenient , staff accommodating with late check on
used toilet had not been flushed prior to our arrival

They had few guests and I believe we were upgraded in rooms. We booked a queen bed and were in a much bigger room. It was the last night of our trip and that space really help us gather our things and pack for the trip home. The restaurant and bar downstairs were fun. We chatted with some of the other bar patrons for quite some time. We had originally planned to eat elsewhere but our conversations lead us to staying in for the evening (we had already gone out to see the town when we first arrived).
There is no staff in the AM. I thought I left my phone in my room and panicked thinking we'd have to leave without it. That would be the only draw back...not having anyone to let you back in should you find yourself in that same panic (check TWICE before you drop off the keys and let the door close behind you). Luckily for me I put my phone where it didn't belong and found it after tearing the car apart. I can laugh about it now but it was a nightmare when going through it.

Staff friendly.
Room decor was old. Bed was not comfortable. Just in general very outdated. Bath towels not big enough. Room was apparently a deluxe but still same. Not sure what the deluxe means. Shower head was very high on wall and water pressure very low. Had to hand hold it to get any meaningful water flow. Overall not good value compared to other local pub/hotels.

Liked the pub
Breakfast was not included and for that price it should be

great location for Thorpe park
rooms were very dated and extremely hot
4.1
Close proximity to thorpe park and good value for money.
Personal preference but as it was on the main road it was a little noisy from traffic.

The receptionist was nice. I appreciated the car park availability. I also saw in the morning when leaving that the other rooms were much nicer than mine. So perhaps there is a chance.
The room did not match the one in the photos, equipment in the room did not work. The reception is closed at night but also there is no information about anything, like how to access wi-fi.
But the worst part was the shower - either boiling hot or ice cold water available - there is no in-between.
Simply not worth the price!
