Here is the list I sent to Mike Linehan....
Your home has potential to be a nice vacation respite but… here is a list of some of the things we ran into
1...The bed rooms were so small there was no room for a table. (Inorder to put roger’s breathing machine next to the bed we had to turn over a trash can…) The room with 5 beds would be better with 3 and a table for luggage.
2...the temperature last week had 4 days over 96 degrees and one air conditioner in a bedroom blew air! Another one worked but definitely wasn't enough to cool the house. down stairs had an air conditioner and a dehumidifier but being a basement it was very damp.
3...They did have about 7 fans but with them all working you couldn't hear yourself think. We didn't even invite family over because it was so uncomfortable.
4...They had a major ANT problem. We would find ants in the bedding... gross! One instance was we filled the ice trays and when we took them out of the freezer there were 4 ice cubes with ants in them. (we did not eat on the porch at all because of the ants)
5...The beds were extremely soft! I loved it but my husband described the bed as a "hammock". We ended up sleeping in different rooms. (last night on our hard bed was wonderful for him… he didn’t need his walker this morning)
6...when we tried to grill fresh tuna on the grill we had a frightening amount of flames.....UGH! The grease trap under the grill was extremely dirty and started the fire. It really needs to be cleaned….(this was extremely scary… we did not try to use the grill again… we really didn’t want to burn your house down.)
7...the people themselves were delightful and offered the use of their porch, as well as water toys for our use. (this was a tremendous benefit with my 9 year old granddaughter) (we only used the floats! but they were very well appreciated)
8…one of the blinds down stairs wouldn’t come down… we put my daughters beach coverup over the window because she didn’t like feeling so exposed.
9..We noticed the end cap on the next to the last step downstairs is loose. (you might want to check this … someone might fall)
10…we washed and dried the towels we used except for the ones we used on Saturday. We left fairly early because it is a 10 hour drive and Jennifer had a 5:00am flight out of Logan Airport.
If these can be corrected ... it would be a nice home away from home.

We did not know much about neither the town nor the neighborhood before booking. There was not much available on the Cape, so it was the most suitable we could find. Location is not that great. You will have access to the river through the owner's property across the street, but to get to a beach or anywhere else you have to drive. The house has 4 bedrooms, but two of them are tiny. There is no central air. Most of the rooms have window AC units, but one of the bedrooms does not, only a fan. Bedroom's closets are tiny as well. The fridge was leaking and did not hold the temperature. The toilet in downstairs bathroom was not properly secured and was slightly moving. Three were some issues with the fuse box. Parents of the young children: be aware that there is a steep staircase down, right in the middle of the main floor. There is a deck, which we used a lot. The outside space is a good size, but it is not a real lawn and you would not let your kids run around barefoot. The owner, Mike is real nice. He met us at the house and showed around. He also offer to use his backyard and the peer for outdoor activities and the meals. There are two kayaks and the paddleboat you can use at any time. It was a highlight of the stay. Not sure about going back.

We were very comfortable in this home and the owners went over and above to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. We had PLENTY of room and the house had everything we could need and more. We didn't need to use the basement bedroom, which seemed a bit musty as most basements are, but the upstairs was clean, bright and comfortable.
