Lovely house, lovely hosts.

Great location. Lovely property. Manager was excellent
Chiefly the bathroom in room 1. It's a wet room but doesn't drain well. The shower made everything wet including the toilet

Location ok, room & bed fine
Very difficult to enter, although followed instructions. TV very outdated & small in bedroom

Extremely comfortable room, very friendly hosts, delicious dinner and breakfast, plus a laundry service.
Nothing whatsoever.

Manorhaus is in a great location. We attended a wedding at Ruthin Castle. The castle is a 5 minute walk away so this was fantastic for us. The parking was brilliant. The long stay car park is literally 2 minutes walk away. The parking permit for free parking was also nice to have. Tea and coffee facilities in the room was really good and we appreciated the little extras in the room such as hair dryer, bathrobes, slippers and the shampoo and conditioner was of good quality.
Guest wifi service wasnt very stable. The room was slanted and whilst this adds character to the room it unfortunately made the bed uncomfortable.

Nice place
I messaged twice for room service as partner is diabetic and need fizzy drink, no one came, had to drive 30 mins for a shop.

Smooth arrival process and check in. Room very clean. Car park token very useful. Bed comfortable and had a good nights sleep.
Stayed in room 1 sink taps loose and wobbly, One power socket switch not working. Laminate flooring splitting.
When showering everything in the bathroom gets soaked. Water temperature fluctuates quite a bit when showering.

the bed was comfy but that was all
no reception, dirty bedding, cold bathroom, only 1 toilet roll left for the whole weekend.

The bed was clean and comfortable but the room was cold as was the hall and stairway. Gentleman who greeted on arrival was very nice and helpful. We went out to meet friends for the evening and the outside lights were out on our return even though it was only 8pm making entry back to the property difficult.
The wet room was very wet and stayed that way most of the day as the towel rail was cold so again no heating. The mixer tap on the wash hand basin swivelled about and the car parking was a public car park at least 5 to 8 minutes walk away. Fortunately it was dry for our stay. We did have the use of the parking permit for other car parks in the area

The restaurant
The steam room was closed due to Covid and the cinema room was being refurbished.

Nice clean room and friendly staff. Great that the hotel is dog friendly too

Very Clean, paid parking was very good, tea/coffee amenities very good
The wet room drain was slow so standing in water while using the other facilities in the bathroom
the shower on/off handle was broken and when reporting the fault was told it would be fixed but that was not the case
next day the handle fell off and the shower took 6/7 minutes to turn off causing the wet room to flood
The room had two seats both of which were hard, could have put a more comfortable chair in the room

The location was great. Can not comment on the staff as booked in and checked out remotely which was understandable with the pandemic. Room was very clean and spacious. Really friendly little village and would recommend Ruthin and the Manorhaus. Really chilled weekend.

Greeted by friendly helpful staff, very comfortable with the covid regs. Beautiful garden for us to sit in. Extremely cosy room with everything we needed and was even provided with a parking permit. Shower was out of this world. Overall a really good please to stay.
Nothing.

Great location, centre of Ruthin and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Parking very easy in the long stay car park (you just have to get the permit first from your room, so someone would need to jump out of car first to get it). Quirky decor in the room, nice toiletries and hairdryer provided with tea, coffee and biscuits too. Shower was great!
Room was very hot (third floor, room 6) even with a fan and temperature was about 20 degrees outside. Lock to room door was a little tough to open. Our key/permit wasn't in our room upon arrival but this was quickly fixed by the staff. 7am fire alarm was a little scary (and loud!) but just a mistake. Bed was quite squeaky when sleeping and turning over.

Hotel very clean and good location
Bathroom very small luckily I was on my own but don't like the wet room idea

Loved the style and location of Manorhaus. At the centre of Ruthin's cobbled streets and Georgian houses, it's within easy walking distance of everything you want to do and see; the castle, river, restaurants and shops. Absolutely loved RUTHIN. Very cool, Notting Hill vibe. The Manorhaus staff are friendly, Gavin was super helpful and the entire place is spotless. Felt very safe and secure with their CoVid guidance. Delicious food here, and even my vegan breakfast was beautifully presented. GOOD coffee (v important)
Nothing to say here.

Reportedly asked for payment receipt for stay no response as yet no one answers phone despite ringing day and night for over a week

We did not eat at this hotel. The hygiene and cleanliness were exemplary. Two easy chairs in the room were a bonus. The real coffee provided was also very welcome. We asked for a quiet room and we were given one and that made a difference too.
In view of Covid-19, the owners had decided to keep their distance and we do not blame them! Meet and greet on arrival plus goodbyes when guests depart ought to return one day when the virus loses its intensity.

The location was fine, we did not eat in.
The room (no 6) was at the top of the building, was cramped and probably an attic conversion. The bed was old and creaked (no jokes please!)The only window was small although it had secondary double glazing. Sleeping was difficult because with the window open the noise from the road was loud, if the window were closed to lessen the noise the airlessness also made sleep difficult. You mention staff, we didn't see any. Although it was only a two-night stay the room was in exactly the same state as we had left it on Wednesday morning and clearly had not been visited by any member of staff. I don't doubt that there are difficulties at this time but this fell a long way short of the mark and the hotel's view of itself.
