Attention aux chambres au dessus du pub. Notre fils y était . Pas moyen de dormir avant 2h du matin ( bruyant +++++) ou alors il faut prévoir de faire la fête aussi !

Cosy room upstairs a pub. Clean spaces and comfy bed. Absolutely nice and friendly owners, and very very good vibes at the pub.

Good clean room opposite the bar. Room was spacious and Glin itself was very nice. Not sure if it is where you would take a romantic break but I would stop there again. Breakfast was continental style which after all the full Irish breakfasts I have eaten was a nice change. Staff were all very helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable. The host was kind and we had great time. They give us private bathroom and we really appreciated it. The continental breakfast was ok.
The place had no restaurants to have dinner but it was very small so, we understood it.

We had a room en-suite in the owners house across the road. So friendly, and a lovely house. Delicious Guinness!!!

Such friendly, accommodating staff. They couldn't have done more for me. If you want to experience true Irish hospitality in an authentic setting, this is the place!

Everything was perfect right from the start - bathrobes in the rooms, which I would have never expected. Thank you, thank you thank you !!! Obviously the owner cares about the comfort of his guests.
A lovely morning chat with the owner and the staff.
It's a place where you can learn a bit about Irish history, the owner being very proud of his ancestors and heritage.

The owners were so friendly and over-the-top helpful in helping us have a good experience not just at their B & B but also in their country overall. They were so kind and it was so fun to talk to them.
No complaints! I did need a hair dryer and they might have had one if I had asked. I just didn’t think of it until too late at night.

The owners were very friendly and very hospitable. It genuinely exceeded our expectations. When we are back in Ireland, we will definitely visit the Magpie bar again. A proper Irish experience for a couple of Dutch boys.

The family that owns it were so kind to my sister and I. They made helpful suggestions for food and for our further travels. It really felt like home and that they cared about us. I needed some paperwork printed and they helped me with that even! It was wonderful to sit by the fire in the pub below the guest house and just chat with them.

Nice people managing the place
Clean
The room is over a noisy bar. All noises are easily heard between walls and floors.
They should notice before.
Impossible to rest before 2am, we were exhausted. Worst B2B experience.
Breakfast is very basic, you have to make you coffee and toasts.
Very end of October and no heating.
Bad smells.
Mattress very regular, everything is old.

Thanks so much to Karol and Gerard for making this our favorite spot to stay in the entire trip! Warm, clean, and relaxing place to stay with great conversation and atmosphere. Wonderful breakfast and travel advice the morning we left, too. Can't wait to go back.
Loved everything - nothing to dislike :)

The place was along the wild Atlantic way, really good position near Limerick if you are having a road trip around Ireland. Perfect quality/price. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The house was in front of their pub where we could relax drinking a beer! Karl was very kind and his father super funny, available, full of tips happy to share with us! Thank you

The outside of the pub looked quaint and charming. Going into the bar was small but again quaint.
We entered, & the manager was not welcoming, it seemed 'an inconvenience' to check us in. No one mentioned anything about an 'event' that night. We'd driven for 2 hours & we just wanted to get to our room. Going up the stairs into the room I was shocked at how grungy & ugly it was, since there was nowhere else to stay in town we couldn't just 'leave'. However the bed was so old it couldn't have been called a double, it was just bigger than a single. I told the manager that this was an unacceptable room for my adult son & me to share. He offered a room next to it for me to sleep in. We went elsewhere to have a drink, the noise from TV and radio was too loud for us to hear each other. We came back & there were lots of teens by then (9:30 pm) which is not unusual for a pub. There was a D.J. spinning music, it was thumping out of loudspeakers right below our awful rooms, it turned out to be a FULL bar birthday party for a teen. There were at least 100 teens (town's population of 577? I guess they come from elsewhere). This music continued until 12:30 a.m. none stop blaring, after that, there was still loud shouting and ruckus until 2 a.m. The old building floors are not soundproofed & there was no noise barrier. There was a cord going out of my window plugged into the wall, maybe the D.J.s equipment. I couldn't close the window for the noise or the chilly evening. The bathroom was gross, I found out 3 other large men in the back rooms were using our bathroom too. In the morning there were loud noises in the bar at 6 a.m. and then a pop radio station by 6:30. We packed our bags quickly dressed and couldn't shower with all the men taking turns in the bathroom. The manager wasn't there, his father was. I was furious & told him they had no right to book a room to us with this party going on. I requested a full refund. He said he'd have to talk to his son, who was not there. We left.

Very warm welcome from nice owner. Clean rooms, functional. Pleasant breakfast.

The room was bright and clean and comfortable with everything you would need. The bar itself was also clean and staff friendly and the pint was very good.
The floor in the en suite was a bit slippy after a shower, needs improvement. I would suggest some improvements required for the breakfast area and breakfast.
