Great communication with the host, clear instructions for check-in and out. Very comfortable beds. Very clean house in a quiet neighborhood. A little hard to find the first time but followed the instructions and did not have any trouble. Will stay again.

We spent a fantastic summer week at this special place. The apartment is very cosy, lovely decorated and perfectly equipped. The surroundings are just beautiful and the atmosphere in Giez is magic.

This property is charming and its location in a quiet village is hard to beat. The rooms are warm and clean with all the amenities. The owners are lovely, easy to communicate with, and very responsive. If you are looking for an authentic stay in the French Alps, this is for you. Merci beaucoups to Natalie and Francois!

A pleasant stay
We enjoyed our stay in Giez in this very comfortable house. The house was as described on the website, with a view of the mountains. The village is a very typical small French village; we found it very peaceful. We made good use of the patio and bbq area. There was lots to do around the lake; our children particularly enjoyed the high ropes course in Talloires and the toboggan at La Sambuy. Thank you very much.

Lovely family home in a perfect location in the middle of the peaceful, historic village of Giez
Just back from two weeks stay at the property and I can't sing it praises enough....the house was perfect for us (two adults and three teen children) the kids monopolised upstairs (two bedrooms and lounge) and my wife and I downstairs with our own bedroom and en-suite.
Living "areas" outside were spot on too...the garden is not directly overlooked and perfect for a bit of a chill out and eating outside (we BBQ'd every night). The cycle trail is about 1 km away and local shops etc a 10 minute drive. Being in the centre of the village was very colloquial but also peaceful....the cows commute through the village every day and are close enough at night for the bells to usher you to sleep.
Well equipped with all you need (including WIFI, bikes and locks, golf clubs).....REALLY REALLY recommended ..... thank-you the Dent Family/

We had an amazing time in Giez. The house is so cosy and beautiful and we had everything we needed and more. The scenary is beautiful, the perfect place to relax.

Well appointed Family House near Annecy
Quiet location apart from the maniacal bell ringer!! Well equipped and clean. Upstairs shower room was very cramped and with children in mind, for which the cottage catered very well, the water was dangerously hot. Natalie and Francois were very helpful following our lost luggage saga. Great location for visiting the French Alps.

Lovely house, great location for the lake and skiing.
We stayed at the property for a week during half term as an introduction to skiing for our 3 children. It is ideally located for a 20 minute drive to the slopes of La Sambuy, or you can catch the bus that goes there twice a day. So we spent the mornings at Lake Annecy and the afternoons skiing! The accommodation is lovely, well decorated, warm and cosy and with lots to keep the kids amused. Thank you to Natalie for meeting us the next morning after we arrived late the previous night due to the drive from Calais, to help settle us in and orientate us to the area. You have a gorgeous house and just let us know if it comes up for sale!

Quiet, cosy, traditional French experience with the comforts of home, suitable for our family of 4
We loved the house and village and appreciated the attention to detail that Natalie has made. We drove each day to the snow, returning to our quaint little village home each night. The boys loved their upstairs rooms and it was all comfortable and well equipped. We would stay again any time if the year! Thankyou

Great property, great location, and great price
We stayed as a family of 4 (two young children) in early spring, and were really pleased with our choice when we arrived. The view over the mountains was great and the property was even better than in the photos. We met both Francoise and Natalie on arrival/exit and they were extremely friendly and helpful. We had car with us and found there was plenty to do in the surrounding area. Annecy and the Lake were stunning (able to compete with the best Italian and Swiss lakes!), the Bauges Regional Park is on the doorstep and has some great walking/driving/cheese tasting. There are woodland walks straight from the doorstep of the house and a number of castles to explore in the surrounding area. If you want to travel further then some of the best Ski resorts in the country are within 1-2 hours drive (Chamonix, Val D'Isere, Val Thorens) though there are also some more local ski stations.
The only things to be aware of is that the internet was very slow while we were there - which I suspect is typical of local internet speeds rather than the connection in the house - and the bath is half-sized so only big enough to sit up in (we prefer showers anyway). Neither of these caused us any issues.
Though we were a family of 4 I felt that 2 more adults would easily have been accommodated in the property and we really liked the house layout, with the lounge area being at the top of the stairs and the 2 en-suite bathrooms. There were a number of toys, games, books, DVD's (for children and adults alike) and even a Nintendo Wii provided.
Easy recommendation from us and a well-deserved 5 stars!

Great family house
What a great place to stay. This was our second holiday in Giez - we never go back to the same place twice so this shows how impressed we were with Natalie and Francois' lovely little barn conversion.
The Barn is perfect , very comfortable and a home from home. The area is so varied with markets to visit and mountains to climb.
A great place for families or couples.
Thanks for a great two week distress.

Total relaxation in an idyllic setting
We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the property - the photos don't do it the justice it deserves! Such character and loads of space. Natalie was very attentive giving us all the property info we needed and loads of local information which proved very useful - we enjoyed all the recommended activities and restaurants. Our daughter is 15 so it wasn't an issue, but this property would be ideal for families with younger children - very safe and well equipped. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return.

Fantastic
This was a great house to stay in and explore the Annecy area. Natalie was there when we arrived and gave us a warm welcome which was much appreciated. We had our 10 month old granddaughter with us and the house was equipped with everything we could possibly need - the range of toys was impressive. It was very hot the week we were there so a trip up the Col de la Forclaz made for a cooler air and had stunning views over Lake Annecy. It was lovely sitting out in the garden which has lots of shade and the house itself was very clean and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for Natalie and Francois and I would certainly recommend this house to others with or without children.

perfect house in beautiful location
We travelled as two couples and found the house was perfect for our needs. The house is spacious and very clean and has a very well equipped kitchen. Natalie was delightful; prompt and very helpful. She made accessing and leaving the house very easy . We would definitely return here, but the house would also work well for a family with children. Our favourite activity was sitting on the patio, gazing at the snow capped mountains and watching the paragliders coming down in the distance.

Perfect Holiday
Met on arrival by Natalie, who gave us a warm welcome and showed us round.
The property is very comfortable and suited us perfectly with all amenities that we required. It is set in a quiet rural village with outstanding views and there are good supermarkets and eateries no more than 5 minutes drive away in Faverge and Doussard. Plenty of local walks. All in all we had one of our best holidays here and would certainly like to return.

Fantastic Holiday
Excellent accommodation in a quiet village with stunning scenery. Place was well appointed and comfortable with all the amenities we required. Owner could not be more welcoming and helpful.

Relaxing
Had a great time at the house. It is situated in a beautiful spot in a small, quiet village which nevertheless has facilities near to hand. Great views across the valley to the mountains. The house was comfortable, had all that we needed and our welcome and help from Natalie and Francois was excellent. The patio is a sun trap and was ideal for sitting in.
We travelled to Annency, busy but well worth a visit, and Mont Blanc, we had stunning views of it in Chamonix, and also walked up the hill beside the house. Also did some drives in beautiful scenery. There are numerous walks from the area of the house but time meant we only did the one.
We had an enjoyable week in an area we had only travelled through before and would certainly come back to the house again as there is still plenty left for us to do there.

Highly recommended
This property has everything you need for a home from home break. Loads to do in the area from busy and beautiful Annecy to the quiet and tranquil mountains and hills. Would recommend going to Col de Forclaz and watching the paragliders take off from the top and seeing them land in the field near the house.
Natalie and Francois made the admin side of things extremely easy and transparant wether by email, phone or text.
I would recommend both the property and the owners of this property without hesitation.

Fabulous
We have just spent two fabulous weeks at this lovely property. Natalie and Francois were on call, without being obtrusive and, of course know the area well and were able to offer lots of practical advice and suggestions as to things to do and see. The house is a wonderful place to relax after sight-seeing and days out. There is loads to do in this fabulous and picturesque part of France. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this part of France or this lovely property to anyone. A real home from home and we would love to go back.
