Absolutely the best stay in a B&B!

The owners were very pleasant and accommodating . Ruby provided information on where to dine and took very good care of all our needs including hanging my raincoat where it would dry faster. Raymond is an exceptionally chef and the breakfast choices were extensive and excellently prepared with fresh ingredients. The best omelettes that we have ever had! They both made sure we we enjoyed our stay and were well taken care of. The loft was quiet, spacious and filled with extra little treats and a french press coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable and both the bath and the room were very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them and being in their company. They go above and beyond taking care of their guests, guest rooms, property and gardens. Thank you so much for everything Ruby and Raymond!

Exceptional

The breakfast was amazing. I can recommend the scrambled eggs with salmon and the fruit platter. The view from our room was great. We were also provide homemade treats for a lovely tee time. Ruby and Raymond are amazing hosts and make a stay at Sutherlands Guesthouse as enjoyable as possible.

A total delight!

Everything is designed for your comfort and pleasure. From comfortable bed to well placed furniture, spacious shower room with quality features and fittings, you want for nothing. High quality cuisine, which also appeals to the eye is prepared for you to order. Ruby and Raymond are great hosts. You'll be fortunate if they have a vacancy.

Perfect B&B

Great rooms, big bathroom with separate shower and bath. Possibility to make your own coffee and tea, homemade cookies and small welcome whisky. Incredible good breakfast, big joice of different starters like fresh fruits, fresh juice, excellent porridge, we never hat such fluffy scrambeled eggs with smoked salmon

Amazing and lovely stay with great hosts

Lovely and peaceful stay. Super comfy bed and very clean, large and extremely spacious en suite, with steam room. Ruby and Raymond were excellent hosts! Warm cooked to order breakfast every morning, with a surprise smoothie every morning and homemade biscuits for later in the day. Very warm experience overall and one of the best stays we've had.

Most wonderful time in a truly exceptional guesthouse.

We loved our stay at Sutherlands Guesthouse. I never stayed at a place that lovely and well equipped. Beds, style of our room, amenities, view from our room, breakfast - everything was exceptional. Ruby and Raymond are wonderful hosts. Thanks a lot for making our stay at Sutherlands so comfortable and memorable.

it’s a property to which we have returned several times. they say God is in the details, and you experience the deep respect they have for getting all the particulars correct. Keen aesthetic sense, warm, friendly, hosts - incredible choice of breakfasts (take the smoothies!), and that’s all before taking into its incomparable surroundings. looking out over the mountains whilst having breakfast, then exploring those mountains. Sutherlands sets you up to have the best possible time.

leaving it! we have had the good fortunate to travel well and across the world, and in the most beautiful hotels, for us, the experience at Sutherlands is without doubt up there with anything we have experience elsewhere. so it made it very hard to leave and we didn’t like that.

Excellent place to stay to explore the Highlands.

Really comfortable room with lots of lovely touches which gave the place a homely and welcoming feel. Ruby and Raymond were excellent hosts and we all loved the breakfast especially. The location is fantastic with lots to do within walking distance and a train and bus nearby for exploring further afield.

Lovely large room, with all we needed provided like fresh milk in the fridge, home made biscuits and a dram of whisky. Great choice of breakfast available and of an excellent standard.

Delightful!

The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. The beds were really comfortable. Beautiful view from the back patio. Since we were a party of 8, we loved having a separate area to hang out. We would highly recommend!

Luxurious, relaxing & very happy break away.

One of the best accommodations we have ever been to. The rooms are beautiful, very spacious, well equipped and super clean, and the view from the house is spectacular. The breakfast is delicious and there is a huge variety of choices. Ruby and Raymond are excellent hosts.

The Perfect Base For Visiting The Cairngorms National Park

Everything was 5-star. Ruby and Raymond were the perfect hosts and could not have done any more to make us feel totally at home in their immaculate house. Our large, spacious room was superbly furnished and had spectacular views over their lovely garden to the mountains beyond. The breakfast was, like everything else, absolutely top quality.

Fabulous stay - definitely a 5 star experience

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Sutherlands Guest House. The room was large, beautifully appointed and clean, with a very comfortable bed. A lovely quiet location, within easy walking distance to the main street. The breakfasts were fantastic, home cooked to a very high standard. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Super stay in a great B&B, highly recommended!

One of the best B&B's we've stayed in for a long time. Lovely situation overlooking the village, super friendly hosts, comfy beds and a great breakfast. The whole place is absolutely immaculate, the hosts have put a lot of love into this place! We were here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much.
