Everything was really nice, they even gave us another room because eventhough ours was good it missed something small. But they preferred to give us another room.

Staff was great, bed was comfortable, the food was great except for breakfast which could have had more variety.
Breakfast could have had more variety

The staff particularly the manager, she was exceptional and made me stay.
The bed,the entertainment was poor, the television had only one channel, the breakfast and the bathroom

It cost a bit more than other properties I have stayed on my African trip but was well worth few extra $ for a comfort that's comparable to a decent 3-star hotel. Bed was huge and comfy, AC worked well, good dinner on-site and nice view over Freetown. Convenient location next to a major junction (Congo Cross) so you can easily hop-on on keke (tuk-tuk) - every driver knows it. I actually walked 15-20min from a pier of the airport boat. Friendly staff, explained me very well how to get to my next destination in SL.

Lovely breakfast. Some variety. Great views of the city and its undulating hills.
The compound looks old and need some renovation. But when you get inside the main building, it’s a far cry from the exterior.

The rooms were very clean and airco worked very well. Comfortable bed.
Wifi did not work during the day we were there.
Reception staff was neutral in their communication, not very welcoming.
Cash payment needed for restaurant and bar.
Maintenance can be better. Age of the building starts showing although it is very clean.

Breakfast was very nice. Cooked to your order. Great coffee
Extra nice, friendly staff.
Even though this seemed like a reasonably safe part of Freetown, the security perimeter is a bit unnerving.
Rather expensive for location, but a good, clean hotel.

room size and shower.
Bed sheets dirty and stained. Breakfast waitress kept saying that my order (waffle) would take time and that the omelets are done quicker.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Jam Lodge in Freetown, Sierra Leone and I have to say it was an amazing experience. The hotel is located in a beautiful and peaceful part of the city, surrounded by lush greenery and just a short distance from some of Freetown's top attractions.
The rooms at The Jam Lodge are spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were modern and well-maintained.
The staff at The Jam Lodge were some of the friendliest and most hospitable people I have ever met. They were always willing to go above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and that we had everything we needed.
Overall, I highly recommend The Jam Lodge to anyone planning a trip to Freetown. It's a wonderful hotel with great amenities and friendly staff, and it's located in a beautiful and peaceful part of the city.

Patricia managed the accomodation very well. I'd stayed before so the breakfast was what I expected coffee, 2 choices, menu of various items. Good cheerful service. The same girls who served the breakfast also did the room cleaning which was daily
The room was too cold at first but I was able to alter the AC to suit my needs.

Breakfast was OK, but some fresh fruit on the menu would have been a bonus
Slightly wider choice of items on evening meal menu, but it was always freshly prepared so can't really complain

good AC

This place is a great value-for-money hotel option in a convenient location. The rooms were clean and serviced daily, the breakfast was decent, and there were a couple of nice amenities (basic gym and courtyard bar area). The wifi was serviceable (though don't expect wonders), there was hot water in the showers, and I had no issues with the AC. The staff was all quite friendly as well.
I wouldn't bother with the food outside of breakfast, as it takes forever to come. The water pressure in the shower was a little hit or miss. I had a room on the ground level by the exit, so it was a little noisy at times.

Everything and specially the food was just great. Everything was over expectations for me.

Good location, nice and comfortable rooms. Rooms better than expected. Nice staff
External environment does not look good and makes you think hotel is not great but when we viewed the rooms, we were wowed

Breakfast was good. Balcony location was nice. But it could be better if awnings could be an option as most of the balcony was in the hot sun during breakfast.
Evening meals were delicious but took a long time to be served after ordering.

Super clean, reliable power supply, very friendly staff, very nice balcony in the common area
Wifi worked a bit slow in our room, but was fine in the common area
