About this house rental
The "1939 Vintage House" was originally built by a Linfield professor in 1939 with careful thought and architectural elegance of its era. The "1939" plaque still remains as all of its initial period details: high ceilings outlined with cove trim, brushed pendant lights, original wood floors, arched doorways, glass knobs, built-ins, and antique dust covers line the stairway. Relax in comfort and convenience: walk minutes to Linfield or 5 blocks to McMinnville's Famous 3rd St.
This home provides a variety of spaces for everyone to relax, unwind and enjoy each others company.
Main Floor: The main floor is the main living area with the living room, kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms, and one full bathroom in the hallway for everyone to use. The kitchen picture window and backdoor look out and give access to the backyard covered patio and BBQ area. This provides a great connection between all parties, either indoors or outdoors.
Upstairs: The upstairs has an office work area on the landing, a bedroom, and a full bathroom for everyone to use.
Finished Basement: The finished basement with high ceilings lives large, with a great room set up with games, puzzles (located in a basket near the fireplace), a foosball table, and a giant chalkboard to explore your creative side. The laundry room is also in the basement with a washer/dryer, iron & ironing board.
Backyard: The fully fenced, private backyard is its own sanctuary. It has a covered patio surrounded by lush bamboo, BBQ, twinkle lights, and a brick fireplace so that you can cook and enjoy your evenings outside anytime.

The location is great for walking to Third Street but it is a block off a very noisy, busy road. It was clean but had a musty, old house smell. The manager was very gracious to try to mitigate it but it didn’t really work since the windows can’t be opened. The photos of the landscaping are outdated and the yard needs a lot of work. The manager was very responsive.

Clean. If you don’t like a lot of stairs, I wouldn’t suggest this home. Downstairs area is typical musty basement converted. Not very comfortable. Lots of road noise directly behind this home. Very busy avenue.
Not the worst we’ve stayed in but we wouldn’t stay again.

From location to the Willamette Valley Vineyards to the backyard to everything about the home and host, this place fit the bill. Perfect home if you're staying in to cook &/or lounge. Beds were very comfortable, the kitchen needed for nothing and the backyard is why we chose the place.. it did not disappoint. The host was quick to respond if there were any questions.

The property was great for three of us to visit and one to work from "home". The upstairs area was a great place for working from "home". It was spacious, very clean, and a great place for our 2 dogs.
One downstairs bedroom we didn't use.
The backyard seating area was great for an afternoon drink.
Plenty of towels and hot water!! Beds were very comfortable.
We enjoyed the charm of the 1939 vintage architecture and style.
Thank you for a fun place to stay.

This historic home was a perfect place for three of us to enjoy a beautiful weekend in McMinnville. The neighborhood is self is hit and miss but the proximity to town and the comfort of the home should not be overlooked. Very responsive communication with the owners. Very quiet area and we would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the 1939 Vintage House. As advertised, it was clean, comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood, and an easy walk to the many restaurants and wine tasting rooms in town. Unfortunately, rainy weather kept us from enjoying the cool patio and fireplace. We would definitely recommend it.

This is in a residential neighborhood, within a few minutes stroll to all the restaurants, coffee shops and main shopping area along 3rd. Save up your money and splurge for a tasting menu at Okta - crazy expensive with the wine pairing, but pretty great!

This property was great and bigger than we were expecting. Plenty of space and fully stocked with anything you could want. The location is in a cute neighborhood that’s very walkable to downtown. Check in was easy. We had a maintenance issue while we were there and the host responded quickly and went over and above to fix it.

Older house with very squeaky wood floors. If you have light sleepers, look elsewhere. If not, it’s a nice place. Two nice bedrooms downstairs. Upstairs was quite hot even with a room AC running loudly.
Great to be able to walk through the neighborhood with lots of lovely gardens and huge trees on the way to town.

The 1938 Vintage House was a great base for visiting wineries in the Willamette Valley. It was also conveniently located within 10 minutes walking distance from the McMinnville main street area. Very comfortable and great for groups of friends.

Charming 1939 property. Yes, the upstairs floorboards squeak. So plan accordingly when placing people in the upstairs bedroom. The property has all the accommodations you need. The outdoor covered patio with fireplace is especially charming. You are walking distance to the downtown restaurants, shops & wine tasting. There is a great Mexican Grocery Store (El Rancho) very close to the house (the grilled chicken combo on weekends is fantastic). Anita & Danna are very responsive to any of your questions / requests!

Kitchen was stocked with most everything you would need and loved the outdoor covered patio for a glass of wine with the fire. Definitely recommend!
