About this villa rental

Trullo Cipresso is a large home in the most desirable part of the famous Trullo country of the Valle d'Itria, in the countryside a few minutes outside beautiful Locorotondo and the World Heritage site at Alberobello. The Trullo has recently been sympathetically restored and fully modernised. It is ideal for families, for large groups of friends or simply for those looking for the pleasures of a traditional trullo home but with modern facilities and more space to relax.
The main building has nine large trulli cones and features three double/twin bedrooms and one triple bedroom, a fully appointed kitchen, a dining room, two sitting rooms and two bathrooms (one with a shower, one with a small bath). Two of the bedrooms, both sitting rooms and one of the bathrooms are under trulli cones, as is part of the kitchen, whilst the remainder of the kitchen and the dining room both have barrel vaulted roofs.
Across the ancient stone courtyard is a second building with a double bedroom and en suite shower room.
The courtyard is shaded by fruit trees, making a wonderful place for lunch or dinner at our stone dining table. Beyond the courtyard is a large pool (10m x 6m), fully fenced and with a large sunbathing area which has recently been extended to allow ample space for sunbeds on the west side of the pool as well as the east. The house is set in an acre of land with pomegranate, fig, cherry, mulberry, apricot, apple and olive trees.
There is off road parking for two cars (three with one obstructing others).
The property's CIS number (Italian holiday property register) is BA0720259100000016613. CIN code is IT072025C200053098.

From booking onwards this was a fantastic place to stay, and I look forward to taking credit for choosing it from my friends for a long time.
Jonathan was super helpful and answered all my questions on message before we arrived. The management company in Puglia were just as helpful and communicative.
The Trullo was perfect for us, 9 adults and 1 baby. There was plenty of baby equipment and the separate annex bedroom and bathroom was perfect for the family in our group. All bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was really well kitted out. The outdoor area was fantastic, we had many meals around the large outside table and used the BBQ. The pool was huge and we spent many hours there. Location-wise the villa is easy to find and in a great spot to visit the local towns and even some places slightly further afield like Matera.
The guide provided by the owners was really useful, in particular the recommendation of having a guided tour round Matera which we thoroughly enjoyed. I just wish we’d had another week for more pool lounging and exploring.

Fabulous property. Like staying in a hobbit house! Great location too.
But some bins would have helped - 9 adults staying in a house makes for lots of rubbish. Minor quibble as we all enjoyed the house so much

This is an amazing trullo ideal for a relaxing holiday. The original building has been sympathetically restored with very good taste. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious. The garden is wide and well kept with all the classical Mediterranean fruit trees. The swimming pool is gated (which is great if you have young kids like us) and is cleaned twice a week, which I truly appreciated. We spent never ending afternoons and evening dining under the pergola. What can you wish more? Ah yes, the nearby countryside is idyllic and the nearby Locorotondo a true unspoilt gem!

Lovely place, great outdoor courtyard, well stocked kitchen, plenty of bedrooms. Additional out building bedroom is a great addition.
Proximity to Locorotondo is good- there's some lovely little spots there, without being too busy or touristy.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful trullo. The outdoor area is amazing, all our meals were eaten in the shade in the courtyars. A fenced pool area was a plus with a toddler in the mix. The pool was clean and comfortable. Indoors the trullo domes (apart from being beautiful) directed the heat upwards, resulting in comfortable temperatures, even when it was mid thirties outside. All in all we had a comfortable and memorable stay. Highly recommended!

Amazing holiday in Locorotondo
Thank you for letting us stay in your fabulous holiday home. The Trullo was immaculate throughout, situated in a beautiful part of the Countryside. It was the perfect holiday home for a family and the pool kept the kids happy all day long. Everything was as described or better. I can’t wait to go back again. Thank you for a brilliant holiday.

The home and grounds are even lovelier in person and so well kept. It was a lovely spot in a great location and not too far from the major tourist attractions or beaches. The courtyard and pool are beautiful and well maintained. The owners were always accessible and supportive and made the stay even more pleasant. I will return to Puglia and am glad my first foray was at Trullo Cipresso.

Gezellig huis in prachtige landelijke omgeving
Algehele indruk is positief.

We had our yearly family gathering at Trullo Cipresso: the house is absolutely fabulous, restored with great taste keeping all the beautiful features of a typical trullo but with all the modern amenities. We were 7 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of room inside and outside to enjoy our week together. It's close to many amazing towns that are must see in Puglia. The personal touches with the welcome pack and the kind words from the owner all made it extra special. Allison was also very friendly at the check-in/check-out. I would definitely recommend this house and would love to come back again! (but next time hopefully with a better weather)

Delightful
This is a wonderful place to relax with the family and plenty of friends. The trullo is enchanting: it feels ancient and cool, harking back to its previous lives (albeit with all the modcons) and with many lovely areas to unwind. It had everything we needed with many well-furnished rooms, a lovely courtyard with plenty of sun and shade, and a glorious pool. Lovely and safe for the children too, who spent hours in the pool and playing a variety of games in the large courtyard. Will never forget the long Mediterranean lunches and dinners in the courtyard, the evenings extending well into the night in the company of some charming local wines. Great location too, in a quiet and unspoilt part of Italy away from the crowds further north, and with a distinctly oriental influence. Locorotondo, Alberobello and Martina Franca are all close and are great explore.
We can’t wait to come back.

A wonderful, quiet oasis
An exceptional villa full of character and charm. It is beautifully appointed and furnished. All the rooms are extremely comfortable and each one is very different with its own special character. Sunsets from the roof are gorgeous and dinner under the trees on the terrace is so pleasant you linger and linger long into the night. Highly recommended for groups (as we were) or just a few people looking to unwind.

This spacious and welcoming villa, with its stunning roofline of trulli, is very well located, a few minutes from delightful Locorotondo, (an easy transfer from either Bari or Brindisi airports) and close to Alborobello and Martina Franka. A comfortable home-from-home – families will especially appreciate the space. If you can tear yourself away from the large swimming pool and shaded terrace, there is so much to see and explore in this, as yet, quite undiscovered part of Italy - beautiful hilltop towns with bustling markets, stunning architecture, numerous restaurants, and within a short drive, the glorious blue of the Adriatic Sea. Gorgeous area, gorgeous house.

A charming trullo set in a wonderful and still relatively untouched part of Italy. The house is very well appointed, with the shady courtyard and the pool particular highlights. Locrotondo has all the amenities you might need, including many good restaurants, and there are plenty of pretty villages nearby to explore. The coast and its beaches are also an easy drive. We loved our stay and very much look forward to returning!
