The location was quite and close to the beach.
The toilet was not cleaned properly upon arrival.

It was very clean
How late you check in & how early you have to check out.
4.1
Well equipped & close to the beach. Nice private garden.
Chalet is in need of a deep clean, dust that had been there for ages was on most surfaces. Plates & cups had stains on them, dead flies were on window cill next to the cooker, black sticky dust on top of microwave. Didn’t use the oven as there were hairs stuck on the shelves. Not happy to be cleaning on a holiday break. Avenue where chalet was located was well kept but surrounding avenues are in major deprivation, not a holiday destination at all. Shocked at what we saw. Research the estate before you book 😱
Photo outside shows your sights on 5 min walk to beach not outside Beach Cottage.

It was very cozy and warming.
The area is very quiet and the neighbours are very friendly.
There was nothing that we didn’t like.
4.1
Around the area there is lots to see and do, many places are within 30mins drive too, the beaches are very clean and seem to be maintained to a high standard.
Getting in and out the street is an absolute nightmare from cars and vans just abandoned in a single track street to them double parking and making it impossible to pass, on the plus side it is a very quiet street and felt secure at night, mainly due to the fact that nobody could get in or out.
House is extremely small, even for 2 adults.
The kitchen is so basic with the most simplistic set up. No storage at all for any foods, fridge will hold a 2pint of milk and possibly a couple of packs of bacon. Was not very clean either, nothing to clean with, had to buy literally everything, right down to bin bags, not that we could put them anywhere as the big outside bin was already full to the brim. No washing machine or even a washing line, however there was ample amounts of pegs available.
Back garden is the same footprint of the house and really quit pleasing, a nice bench for you to sit at and the garden does catch the sun most of the day.
Bathroom was far from clean, shower was not very good at all, this I found out after having to reset the trip switch everytime I wanted a shower. Shoul look at an upgraded shower unit with a decent pump in it.
Bedroom, bed was quite comfortable but it felt like I was lying downhill, maybe just me, drawers in the room were broken and as seen by previous reviews have been for sometime.
Living room is very small, with one 2 seater couch that definitely needs replaced or at least some new cushions on it, tv is that of the size of a box of cornflakes and is mounted on a wall high in a corner. (Bring glasses if you intend to watch a film)
Heating is storage heaters and are all pre programmed, even in the hight of summer. You cannot switch them off or even turn them down because of the stark warnings in the "welcome bookelet" stating the copious amounts of charges that you will be liable for if things are not adhered to.

Once inside it was ok. Bed was comfy. Shower was warm. Pretty clean generally but don’t move the bed or settee! Sun trap in the back was nice ( better if the garden had been mowed)
Crockery needed cleaning properly/ or even better replacing with new. Outside area needed cutting. Grass was well overgrown and fencing old. Wardrobe drawer was broken. You have to take absolutely everything…bin bags, washing up liquid, loo roll, towels, and had to travel to Tesco to purchase, as the local shops looked like in a shanty town. Didn’t dare go in. But you get what u pay for I suppose. I should have done more homework on the area!

Very cozy little beach cottage. Great for a holiday by the sea!
We loved to bring our furry baby (dog) and the size of the cottage is alright for a couple. Their was everything we needed for a long weekend.
The bed is super comfy and was very clean.
The shower wasn’t very powerful, but warm/cold worked very good!
Personally we didn’t like the door to the bathroom, it isn’t a proper door. But nothing major about it.
Some of the area looks rough/not maintained, but our street was alright!
Some bits weren’t as clean, like some of the kitchenware, but nothing very dirty (would still give 4 of 5 stars)

all was good

It was lovely to stay in a location near the beach and close to some traditional seaside towns (Walton, Clacton, Brightlingsea). Although small, the cottage had everything we needed, including off road parking, a well resourced kitchen and a comfy bed and sofa.

Key collection, facilities, area.
Heavy, unpleasant smell in the bedroom area. The internet connection was very poor. Also we were having difficulties in setting up the TV channels as it was previously set up on radio stations.
I have asked the property owner if I could drop the suitcases at the property before our check in time at 16:00pm as I was travelling without a car and had to check out from the previous holiday park at 10:00 am on the same day. Unfortunately received a straight negative answer.
