The room had everything I needed for my stay. Thanks.

The hotel was close to all amenities, shopping, beach, food etc... I liked the temperature of the shower

The old hot and cold taps in the sink are a bit hard to get used to. The bed was hard.

Absolutely fabulous. What a privilege to stay in a 100 year old hotel!

The location was perfect. The hotel, rooms, my separate bathroom were an absolute delight. Anchorage hotel is a heritage building and we had the privilege of staying in the old rooms and had a huge, separate bathroom down the passage. I had a view of the ocean and a balcony!

The wifi was poor due to the thick walls, totally understandable. My brother was accommodated by staff as he needed to work and the boardroom was made available to him!

Disappointing --- steer clear of this place which is waiting for demolition

It was an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience

This property is misleadingly portrayed in its promotion. It is unkempt, waiting for demolition. The staff were kind -- otherwise I would strongly recommend not staying there. Rooms are run down, steep stairs with no lift.

An old worldly building with lots of character with the best location in town.

A wonderful location with a great on-site restaurant. Henry the manager was lovely and helpful. Great value for money and the best location in town.

It was very old but had lots of character. No air conditioning in the downstairs rooms but the heater they supplied was adequate. So no complaints really.

Fantastic restored hotel facing the water

A beautiful restored hotel facing the water. The long balcony offers their guest the best views in Victor Harbor. We had a no contact check-in, which worked perfectly. Their instructions were clear and easy to follow. Our budget room had a separate bathroom that was 20m from the room, which was fine. It was large and clean and had the best water pressure. The room itself had a sink and fridge, a comfortable bed . We spent time sitting on the balcony having drinks watching the water.

Checkin was swift, and the gentleman was very helpful. Such a nice room that had a free nibble pack, which was nice. Spa bath was a wonderful touch

Great potential but completely misses the mark for the price

we enjoyed the feel that a heritage stay brings. we arrived late in the day so the reception had closed but the staff from the restaurant/bar were very pleasant.

unfortunately very overpriced for the room. The room requires good contractors in to paint instead of the shoddy job that was done. Paint not just a bit onto timber work but random slaps of paint on the timber cupboard doors. The curtains required an overhaul as they didn’t fit the window properly, not to mention broken curtain clips resulting in a very light room early in the morning.The idea of the door to the bathroom being able to open outwards so you can sit in the spa bath and view the bay is nice but unfortunately when you want a shower, which is over the bath, the spay of water tends to go on the carpet. I have stayed in lots of hotels but have never had to write a review like this. I prefer to look for the positives but again it was the price for what it is. Such a shame as it has so much potential.

Great location, comfortable with great view

historic pub, we had a “spa room” which had a old, but comfortable room with a balcony and great ocean view.
