Old facility, smells dusty. Couldn’t even stay there.
Kinda deserted

Typical North Coast resort hotel.
Wi-Fi sketchy in the rooms

The size of the rooms is good.
The staff are polite.
I was there for work and didn't get anything done because there's no WiFi.
I tried to get entertainment from the TV but there was only 1 channel.
The breakfast options were limited.
The mattress in my room just made my stay worse. Horrible to say the least.

It’s an amazing location, classic tropical beachfront aesthetic. Amazing plants and gardens intertwined between the villas. Great pool location and a terrace that overlooks the Indian Ocean. Breakfasts were decent, but watch out for the pricing; it is arbitrary. My bed was comfortable and things were clean and organized. Staff was great. AC was good and mosquito net wasn’t complicated to use or get in/out of.
The hot water was spotty, even after reporting it. The water pressure was non existent in the shower and that also was after having it looked at. To be fair, it was off season so it may have just been my place and I didn’t really push hard to get it resolved. Food pricing was arbitrary. Most items on the menu, the prices were average, but I had two guests join me for breakfast and the price they charged them was ridiculous. But as long as you have a printed menu you’re safe. Always order off a menu w prices in kenya or you’re in for a surprise.

The Staff were great; all the way from the Manager to the Waiters and Gatekeeper. They were pleasant and helpful. Beautiful and peaceful beaches, devoid of the harassment from Beach Boys, usually experienced in Diani and Mombasa's Noth Coast. Breakfast was great with a variety of juices, even though the majority were not fresh, I.e. from the Supermarket, lots of pastries/ bread/pancakes, cereals, different types of eggs, sausages, etc.
The rooms are dark during day time and one has to keep the lights on. The facilities were clean but a lot of them, including towels were old and need revamping and modernising. The kettle was broken and there was no desk to write on, except the same one with the Coffe tray. The Menu was limited and quite expensive for live-in guests.

Great location

The hotel has an amazing location right at the beach, the rooms are very nice and the beds really comfortable. Breakfast was good and delicious and the staff was super friendly. And I highly recommend the cheap massage with a view at the ocean.
A la carte menu didn’t had much options and quite pricy for average food.

Could be better for the price.
I recently stayed at Baobab Sea Lodge in Kilifi, Kenya, and unfortunately, my experience was not the most enjoyable. While the property is located in a beautiful area and has a lot of potential, I found the accommodations to be very basic and the amenities to be lacking.
One of the biggest issues I encountered was the frequent power outages, which made it difficult to charge my devices or even use the bathroom facilities. Additionally, the food offerings at the lodge were underwhelming, and I found myself searching for other options off-site.
However, the worst part of my stay was the incredibly slow restaurant service at the pool area. Waiting for as long as an hour for a simple sandwich was unacceptable, and it significantly impacted my overall experience. It was disappointing to have to wait for so long and miss out on valuable time by the pool.
Overall, while Baobab Sea Lodge has the potential to be a great destination, the basic accommodations, power outages, and slow restaurant service made for a less than desirable experience. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a more enjoyable and hassle-free vacation.

Staff and location. Very good masseuse and super staff. The location is amazing
Wifi did not work anywhere. Food is clearly frozen and heated, buffetstyle. Therooms and restaurant are overpriced. Advisable to decrease prices, fix wifi and give more attention to food.

Location and direct at the beach
I was the only one in the resort. To get more people they have to organise parties like happy hours and so on. They will attract more people if they lower the price to more or less 7000ksh per day incl breakfast.

Good location and delicious food (when it finally arrived!) Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Beautiful gardens and nice rooms (in need of some small repairs). Lovely swimming pool on a nice beach.
Food took more than 90 minutes to arrive, free massage included in room rate kept getting interrupted due to double bookings, terrible water pressure and hot water only available for a few hours in the evening, power cuts with malfunctioning generator, wood shavings on our bed due to termites in the ceiling. Over priced for what it was!

Food was good, enviroment was also nice, rooms were clean and the staff very friendly.
Wifi only in some small areas available, not the rooms. Sometimes not hot water in the shower.
Beach is not usable for swimming.

Great location with direct beach access. Secure onsite parking. A pool and bar overlooking the ocean. The onsite restaurant has a good selection of meals. Friendly and helpful staff.
The wifi was a bit intermittent. Better off buying a Safaricom SIM card with data.

Super friendly staff, always helpful. very relaxing and perfect for remote vacation far away from all problems

I loved the location close to the lovely white sand beach and the Indian Ocean. Also, I liked the idea of building the guest houses in the traditional style - rounded, using natural materials like clay and wood. Each house has a small terrace, i can imagine resting there and falling asleep while listening to the sound of ocean waves. The houses are surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden. And yes, there are many wonderful baobab trees around. Should i have not travelled for work, I would definitely enjoy lovely vacations days in this lodge.
Few and rather insignificant things. A painfully slow internet connection, a poor internet security, and the cold water in the pool - the ocean was definitely warmer. However, with some efforts to find the best location and WiFi to join my zoom calls on the first day (big thanks to the supportive personnel!!!) and finding the right time for ocean swimming using the Tide app (during the low tide, you can cut your feet since the ocean bed has some sharp stones and corals), everything was resolved. I was sorry to leave when I finished my job thinking "now it's the time to enjoy this place".

The breakfast was ok. The restaurant was under construction so it was served in the lobby. Not the most comfy setting, but it was ok
The weather was a bit dreary, and with the renovation the ambiance was not as good as it would be usually

not many people, good big pool with a view to the sea
beach was not cleaned, some rocks on the entrance from the shore to the ocean
