"Newly renovated" does not apply to home at all! Very deceiving! One bathroom on second floor was too small, extremely dirty, smelly..musty shower curtain hanging by chain and screws..all 6 adults forced to use outdoor shower! Rotted wicker chairs on deck..i hurt my back as i fell thru when i tried to sit on. Very unhappy with stay!

The property is wonderfully located, just 1 mile from the downtown Northville area, close to the Northville boat launch and similarly close to the Sport Island Pub and Thompson's Marina if you are bringing a boat.
The house was a perfect lake house feel, well stocked and supplied and the outdoor shower was a huge bonus. We enjoyed the property very much and would, and hope, to book again.

Perfect Late Summer Getaway
We have been traveling to the Great Sacandaga lake for 25 years. This is the first time we stayed near Northville, a tiny little town that we love in this area, and it was a treat to be so close that we could walk to town. The neighbors were friendly and the home was just the right size for two couples to hang out and enjoy the outside space as well.

Beautiful Location
We had a great stay at this location. The house was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. The owner was responsive to questions as they came up during and after our stay. And, of course, we love the Great Sacandaga Lake (reservoir), so we would recommend this location to anyone! Especially those that love sunsets!

One of those "rare Great sacandaga lake days"
Great place, it is actually bigger then the pictures look. were able to watch the sunset every night over the mtns from the dock. Ice cream, pizza and five & dime store all .9 mile walk. On dead end road no traffic. It was sunny and 90-95 each day, my brother in law and I would joke about how "it was another one of those rare great sacandaga lake days you only dream about" truly great place to stay especially during this covid. Will do it again for sure. Nice to have AC and 2nd shower. Thanks for the memories!!

Great, cozy home
We enjoyed our stay just after Christmas. Property was in good shape and very cozy. We loved the warmth of the fire in an icy winter. Proximity to town is perfect for a nice walk.

Northville in November
Cozy home, beautiful view. Weather extremely cold, but house warmed up nicely, and fireplace was a big plus. In town for family Thanksgiving, kitchen had everything needed to prepare our contributions to the dinner. Beds were comfortable.

The perfect stay all seasons
I stayed for the holiday weekend and it was warm and toasty. House is in a great location and all needed amenities are provided for. We went to the Timeless Tavern for dinner. We loved the master bedroom balcony which looks out in the lake.

Very cozy cottage.
A nice touch was having two window A/C units. We didn't need them most days, but they were great the one night it was really hot and humid. As it was throughout the lake, the dock was an adventure to launch kayaks as the water is immediately deep, so keep your life vest on.

Felt right at home!
We rented this house last minute for a 4 night stay over July 4th weekend. The owner Bryan is extremely accommodating and even followed up to see if we enjoyed our time there. The second story deck and down at the dock is where we spent most of our time. The only negative thing I would have to say about our weekend is how close the camp is to the neighbors and we felt like they were watching our every move.
On the plus side the house is on a quiet road and less than 5 minutes to Stewart's and the grocery store! We would definitely go back again!

Good in a pinch
The websites description of the property was accurate and the pictures placed on the website matched the house. The property was clean but a little rundown, but it was basically loved and used a lot by this family. We did not see the owner, but there were no issues so privacy was nice. The neighbors are very close, but so quiet you would not even know that people lived on both sides of the property. I would recommend this property to friends and neighbors in a pinch and only in the summer months. Some friends from NYC came up to experience ice fishing and had a blast!! The only thing really disappointing was the price/ too expensive / but we needed a place and this worked in a pinch.

Cozy home with lots of charm
We had a lovely long weekend visit - it was very cold outside but inside was warm and cozy with the propane fireplace doing much of the work. The home is lovely - a great layout with a good sized kitchen and comfortable beds.
Thanks for having us!

Wonderful Lake Retreat
We had a small family reunion and stayed at this Great Sacandaga Lakehouse. We slept 7 comfortably (4 adults and 3 kids). the Kitchen is well stocked and their is laundry, grills, games available for guests to use. The water access is great, steps down to a dock with deep water provide for great swimming. There is also a perfect fire pit overlooking the lake that we used nightly to cook Smores and hotdogs.
We hope to make this an annual retreat and would love to stay here again.

"Great" Sacandaga Lake retreat
Our stay at this lakeside house was a very enjoyable experience. The house is situated alongside the gorgeous lake providing beautiful views of the lake. The house was well stocked to meet the needs of the guests. Should we decide to "eat in" , the kitchen provided us all the features necessary to prepare our meals. The bedrooms were very comfortable with a/c units and wonderful breezes coming in from the lake. The washer and dryer were very nice units and great to have available. Everything was very clean and tidy. On the few rainy chilly days we encountered the beautiful fireplace quickly took off the chill and provided a very warm cozy atmosphere on the main floor living area. The big screen tv with direct tv access also offered the chance to catch a ball game or watch a favorite old movie too. On warm nights the wonderful fire pit alongside the lake offered a great place to gather and watch the sun set across the lake. The village of Northville is just a short drive from the house and is a quiet and charming town, but offers all you need to make your stay very comfortable. No doing without, at this location. We loved our stay at the " lakehouse" and look forward to visiting it again and again.
