must visit when in ella
I don't why there are negative reviews. it's a jungle resort and it lived to its expectations. you can't be staying in a luxury property in middle of jungle. arrival experience is amazing. adventure starts right from there. room is spacious and clean. view from balcony to stream is next to amazing. Best thing is the staff they treats you like king and makes you feel very special. very friendly and always ready to do whatever you ask. no is something I didn't hear. my 9 year old son enjoyed the activities also and last bath at river stream is most rejenuvating in our entire srilankan trip. the chef you received us on arrival and isuru at reception were great. no doubt everyone else is equally good. don't go by negative reviews. if you can walk and climb and need a different experience for your kids take then here. they will enjoy.

the location and team on-site are lovely but just blame management for the mess. The most expensive place we stayed yet
Once on site the farm and rooms are beautiful, the guides and groundsmen are super kind and we had the most amazing swim in the waterfalls and tour of the farmland. only rating a 7 because these guys are great!
Serious lack of communication. emailed multiple times before being told the day before check in that they couldn’t find our booking. No one told us where we had to go to be collected by the hotel 4x4 and after agreeing a time we then had to wait 45 minutes to be collected. After arriving at the location you are very much left to yourself with no info of when food is served or what activities are actually available. No one from customer service is on site. Also we had an hour and half delay checking out even after repeatedly reminding them what time we had to leave. unnecessary stress as had a driver to meet and train to catch.

Read up before you book!
- We stayed 2 nights and the location was amazing! Nature right outside your doorstep! - Cozy cabanas by the river, so soothing listening to the river as you fall a sleep. - Nice dip in the waterfall! - you get a little tour up the hillside to an amazing waterfall. - Awesome nature when you started exploring the area. There are a lot of paths in the jungle and you can follow the river and swim on servers locations.
- Overpriced, payed 150 euros a night and felt robbed afterwards. If you can get it “last minute” for about 70-80 euros it would be worth it. - After arriving and got a nice welcome we were left to fend for our self. The “resort” is in the middle of the jungle and there is only a few English speaking staff. Lack of information about routes etc. just frustrating. Like staying at a giant farm. Don’t expect a “resort” as most people are use to. - It’s isolated, when you get there - you stay there. With only another couple it feels very deserted. - It’s strictly vegetarian/vegan food. NO BEER OR WINE! They serve a dinner, and that’s what you’ll eat, nothing to chose from. - The place is also a gigantic farm with 200 acres of land with a lot of random farmers from nearby villages. - There is no “natural meeting place”/info-desk/ lobby. The place is enormous with cabins all over place. - Due to cancellations they staff was down to a minimum. We were 2 pairs in a resort that could host more then 40 people. On sight there was only the manager, and a few others to help, and they where hard to find. Service was catastrophic. - The breakfast was at 8 and dinner at 20, in the middle there was no lunch. Took us about 2 hours from when we decided to eat until we had food on the table. Process was: track down the manager - place an order wait and wait - then get the food. The only lunch they were able to sort for us was sandwiches and chips. - All snacks and eatables were “confiscated” due to rodents. No private stash was sorted as other places we stayed at. The information on booking is a bit misleading, it’s not a resort as you’d expect. Read up on the comments from visitors to make sure that it’s a place that fits you and your expectations.

Exceptional
Nice, peace and quiet. The trek that was included was good. The bath in the waterfall really nice. The food better than expected after reading the posts.
No insulation between floors, you could hear every step from your neighboor.

Hidden gem in the heart of the jungle
Breathtaking views. The trek included was incredible. Tharindu who works there went above and beyond for us.
It’s quite long to get in and out of the resort. Totally worth it though!
