About this house rental
The historic Jefferson House, nestled in a vital and charming Victorian District neighborhood, offers elegant and comfortable accommodations -- 4 bedrooms/4.5 baths -- for up to 8 people. Now with relaxed cancellation/payment policies and enhanced cleaning, the home's central location puts you within a 2 block walk to Forsyth Park, area restaurants, shops and bars. Heading north just a few blocks, the Landmark District begins.
The Jefferson House has been lovingly renovated and retains its historic details and layout. Decorated with simple elegance, this bright and spacious house is furnished with plush, comfortable couches and chairs. Sturdy occasional tables ensure you have a place to set your sweet tea or a glass of champagne, while recessed lights can set the mood for evening. Turn on the many period-appropriate lamps and curl up with one of the books on Savannah or regional history from the library shelves. Or slide up to the breakfast bar in the spacious, bright kitchen with French doors for coffee or lunch and conversation.
Jefferson House retains its triple-parlor first floor, which is perfect for groups large and small. These three areas are open to one another, yet each has its own focal point. Furniture is grouped for intimacy without creating barriers to the rest of the space. Socialize like residents did in the days of yore, with some interacting in the front parlor, and others playing games in the second. Today the "games" might be replaced with a movie on the flatscreen TV, but one thing is certain: each guest can have his or her own space and be able to socialize with those in one of the other parlor areas. The house is perfect for large families, or maybe two families, without stepping on one another's toes. It is popular with wedding groups, "girls'" reunions, family gatherings and marathon runners.
Upstairs the 4 bedrooms all have full baths en suite. One bedroom has its own porch. Each suite is simply decorated for comfort and function. The bedrooms are spacious, with plenty of closet space and a chair for reading or relaxing. (One bedroom features a desk and chair; and there is another desk downstairs for everyone's use.) Fresh linens, quality mattresses and extra bedding and pillows help ensure a good night's sleep. Three bedrooms have queen beds, and one has two twins -- great for kids!
Between the formal dining room and the well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, there is no shortage of places to eat and enjoy each other's company. Casual or formal: the Jefferson House fits the bill.
In addition to being 2 blocks from Forsyth Park, Jefferson House is a short walk to the Landmark District. Here you'll wander through squares lined with amazingly grand historic homes and shaded with sprawling live oaks, draped with Spanish moss. Continue on to superb shopping on lively Broughton Street and the city's many downtown museums, ending at Savannah's famous River Street and the river, where huge container ships come from all over the world.

We had four couples and it was nice that every bedroom had an en-suite bath plus a half bath downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked. The house needs some repairs and refurbishing.

We are five friends who met 50+ years ago in high school. We have come from 3 states to meet here this being our 3rd year. It’s perfect for us. The location is an easy drive to the market and shops but is also within walking distance.
We plan to return next year and recommend it.

Great location near Forsythe Park. It's a perfect place for a girl's trip for 4 & so nice to each have our bedroom & bathroom. The half bath downstairs was also convenient. It was a great kitchen but didn't have wine or champagne glasses, which was disappointing. Other than that it was great!

The property was perfect. We were a group of 7 women so the 5 bathrooms were indeed the selling point for us. The rooms were spacious and the supplies were well stocked. We would absolutely rent this property again!

This home met all of our needs for a week's stay. It is in a great location, and the host was very quick to respond when I had questions.

We all flew in from WI for our Daughter’s pre-wedding festivities, rehearsal and wedding day. It was so easy for check in. Everyone had their own rooms, bathrooms and with the space, kitchen and living areas it was a great place to stay. What you would get for the price of a hotel room in the Savannah area, with multiple people this was a much better option. Everything was 5-6 minutes away! We had a beautiful wedding day. Thank You!

We had a wonderful time exploring Savannah and Tybee Island. There were four of us and we each had our own bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. The house was spacious and so comfortable. Having parking on the property made it even better. The house location was great. Our host, Ann, was attentive to our needs and responded quickly to requests. I highly recommend this property.

We loved the house. It was spacious enough that our group of eight could mix and mingle throughout the first floor of the house, then retire upstairs.
The kitchen was well supplied with everything from plates to cookware to spices.
We would definitely stay there again!

We loved the layout of the house. All bedrooms are upstairs and the common areas downstairs. The host was extremely responsive and we LOVED the proximity to downtown and the park.

Had a great stay at this property. Plenty of room for 7 adults, including bathrooms. Had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Location was close to restaurants and activities but quiet. Would stay here again.

Excellent stay in a beautiful location. I would note that the balcony in one of the guest rooms locks when it is closed behind someone!

This was a great property for our girls trip. The 5 of us had our own bed and 2 had to share one bedroom and bath. The property was clean and we felt safe in the neighborhood. We we had to contact the property manager she was very quick with her responses. We would recommend this property to others

Having been to Savannah several times and staying in different rentals, this home is a favorite! Ann’s communication w/me was fast and excellent. This home was very clean and we loved all of the nice and comfortable bedrooms for the 5 of us. The kitchen is very nice, spacious, and had everything we needed to cook a nice seafood dinner one evening. It’s in a nice and safe area and we were able to walk to most things we wanted to see and do.

Met our expectations, very clean. Four women appreciated 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. Easy to find. It could have been better stocked and we had trouble with the lock box. Overall, we would stay again.

Clean, stocked with everything we needed , and the property manager was extremely prompt. The location was great for what we needed, and we loved that there were enough bedrooms to accommodate our family (especially loved that each bedroom had its own bath).

Five girls met 50 years ago . We wanted to get together to learn about our lives and families in the years that have quickly passed. 911 Jefferson was the perfect home to share, laugh and cry together. The home is beautiful, comfortable, well equipped, and convenient to shops and restaurants.
We plan to go back again.

Great stay near Forsyth Park!
Lovely rental home with plenty of space for all and a good location to many of Savannah’s sites. I only have a few things that were little less than optimal: furniture while nice is in need of new cushions for better support whether in the living room or dining room, the middle bedroom with 2 single beds could use some new mattresses (other rooms were great) & there is a toilet paper holder in the powder room downstairs that can (& did) impale a person if they are not careful. Very pointy and exposed long end is dangerous. Keeping all of this in mind, it was a great value for the money! Really lovely home.

Would stay again for sure!
This house is SO BIG! There is plenty of room for privacy. We enjoyed cooking dinner one night because the kitchen had everything we needed. There is plenty of seating for enjoying conversation or a good movie. We walked one evening to dinner, it was 1.3 miles to Sorry Charlie’s, we Ubered back :) But the walk was safe and well lit. My In-laws, 67 and 68 were not fans of the stairs because you do have to climb 14-16 stairs to all the bedrooms. My husband 46, daughter 13 and I 45, did not mind the stairs. I hope this helps with anyone interested in this beautiful home. And like the title says, I would rent it again in a heartbeat. Savannah Rocks!!!

Historic Home
This home was perfect for our group of women in their 70's. Beware of step stairs if anyone stairs difficulty. Kitchen is modern but rest of home is a lovely period piece in the past.

Beautiful home with four en-suite baths was perfect for our group! 1.2 mile walk to River street was fine for us. Saw a bit more of the sites. We would recommend this home for adults.

Great Place for 7 Adults
We were impressed by the cleanliness and size of the house with 4 bedrooms and 4-1/2 baths. We chose to rent a suv, driving every where we went and appreciated the house has off-street parking available for one vehicle. Neighbors were friendly with their waves and smiles. We had a great time in Savannah!
