We had a great time staying in this homey rustic cabin. Close to Perkins Cove and in walking distance to all that Ogunquit offers. Tess and John are wonderful hosts and very accessible and responsive.

I can't say enough about John and Tessa - incredible people and wonderful hosts. They are right on the property but you'd never know they are there unless you need something and they respond right away. The cabin is rustic - which we love - but so so cozy. Every amenity you could want has been thought of. It is a 5 minute walk to Perkins Cove and the area is filled with activities from shopping, beaching it, jet skiing and sailing - we did them all. Great family get away with room for all! So blessed to have found this wonderful getaway and incredible hosts!

What a wonder space and location. Hosts were so friendly and supportive. We had a wonderful week: walking to the cove for dinner, ice cream, music, etc., morning coffee on the screen porch with views of the ocean off in the distance, beach days at nearby beaches and long walks down marginal way. Just the ideal place for a family beach vacation.

Great old school Maine cottage in a fantastic location. Wonderful hosts, available but never in the way. Nice screened porch view of Perkin’s Cove. AC in bedrooms, but it can get hot midday. Especially in the main first floor area which is so fun to hang out in. Wonderful spot!

My son walked in the door and went WOW, I want to live here!...and we did for a week! I loved the vintage charm of the 1920's space, the big open room, the location, and the thoughtful touches that the owners did; lights were on when we came in (and so were air conditioners!) and we enjoyed the treats they left for us. The walk to Perkins Cove was literally five minutes and yet we were away from any real noise. We loved the seclusion of the pine grove. My morning ritual was to walk out on the screen porch and check the ocean view to see what the day would be like. We had everything we needed to cook, and outdoor grill, and there were beach chairs and towels available to take to the beach and the washing machine/dryer was a great perk. Everyone loved staying here! I would definitely rent again, and in fact am thinking about a fall getaway. Highly recommend. The hosts were helpful, available and very respectful of our privacy. Five stars!

Came to town for a family gathering - 40+ from coast to coast. Loved coming back after our nightly gatherings and relaxing - LOL.
The last evening everyone came out for a Happy Hour/Trivia night. The main room is so spacious and holds so much character - it was an ideal spot. Afterwards, we walked across the bridge to Perkins Cove to enjoy the many dinner options.
Communication was good, place was clean and comfortable. The host, and family, were friendly and helpful.
I would love to return!

For the second year our whole family enjoyed the rustic charm of John and Tessa's Perkins Cove home. The property and surroundings provide our family with just the type of relaxing atmosphere we look for in our summer get away.

My wife and three older children spent our first week of three in Ogunquit. We thoroughly enjoyed the Knight’s cottage. Quiet, yet a short walk to Perkins cove and the Meandering Way path to the Beach. We had a great week.

This is one of my all time favorite properties I’ve ever rented. The history of the property and the location were perfect. Hosts were lovely. Highly recommended

Tessa and John were phenomenal hosts and they made our stay such a memorable experience! Highly recommend staying here

This is exactly what we hoped it would be -- a rustic summer cottage with all the basics, including an old-fashioned kitchen with microwave and coffee machine, fireplace for cool evenings, laundry machines, wireless, and TV (if that's your thing). I preferred reading on the porch. The cottage has a peaceful wooded feel, even though it is just steps away from the cove and the art museum. The owners have deep roots in the town, and they are very attentive without being at all intrusive.

My husband and I had a great 2.5 week stay at the cottage. My adult children joined us for a week and there was so much room for all of us. More than enough space for 6 adults! This is a rustic old home but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The WiFi was strong and I had no problem working when I needed to.
John and Tessa (and their 2 beautiful kids) live on the property and are the nicest and most helpful hosts you could have. They’re available if you need them but give you total privacy also. They will gladly share the history of the house and John’s family in the area which added a lot of interest to our experience there. They are generous hosts who care that you enjoy your stay in Ogunquit. Being able to walk to Perkins Cove in just a few minutes for morning coffee or dinner or to walk the Marginal Way was a highlight of our trip! We definitely recommend John and Tessa’s place!

Our favorite rental vacation home ever. It is cozy and spacious. A beautiful setting in a wooded area while being very close to the shore. Tessa was the sweetest host imaginable.

Beautiful windows, comfortable rooms, open plan first floor with a fireplace and large porch with ocean view made this a great place to spend a couple of weeks. An easy walk to Perkins Cove and the Ogunquit Museum of Art. Owners Tessa and John were warm, helpful, and welcoming. Hope to stay again.

From check in to check out (which were easy and fast) we had the best week! Our home away from home had plenty of space for 5 adults and 2 5 year olds! The common area had enough space for my neices to play and color when we were just hanging out but also enough space for the adults to play games or just relax as well. You cannot beat the proximity to Perkins Cove, the Marginal Way and even to the restaurants and shops in Ogunquit. All within reasonable walking distance. The hostess and her family were right next door if we needed anything but the house had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

This house is just as listed. Rustic charm, a 5 minute walk from Perkins Cove. Our hosts were wonderful and so nice. The house is large and we stayed very comfortably with our 3 teenagers. The house is rustic and not fancy but perfect for a week of sand and sun. The new washer and dryer were a huge plus for us with beach towels to wash. The secluded spot was perfect yet we were a 5 minute walk from the cove and the marginal way and drove into the beach part of Ogunquit daily and found easy parking.

My husband and I stayed here for a week in June along with our adult children and our granddaughter. It was one of our favorite trips so far to Maine. The house is very beautiful with great history, charm and lots of amazing old details throughout the house. We loved the amazing huge windows that light up the dining and living areas, the old hutch in the kitchen and the beautiful brick fireplace we got to use on the rainy days. The owners are there for anything you may need and the are very sweet people. They left lots of little touches to make everyone feel at home like new coloring books, crayons playdo and a lot of games& puzzles for the kids. The bathroom had been stocked with bandaids, tissues, sprays, feminine products and a bunch of little things you may end up needing but didn’t think of. You can walk right down to Perkins cove and you can see the ocean through the trees from the screened in porch. There’s a gas grill we cooked dinner on two of the nights and a large dining room table that fit all 8 of us comfortably. The cottage is tucked away off the road with two other similar ones which makes it feel private and like you are off in the woods away from everything yet you are right there by all the main attractions of Ogunquit. We went to the main beach one day which was nice but a bit crowded. We still had a great time there though! The tide comes up very far in Maine almost until the beach is gone. I think hightide was sometime near 2:45 so maybe plan your beach time around that. We also went to the beaches in Wells which are right up the street from Ogunquit and they are very beautiful as well and less crowded. We liked them a lot . We truly had such a blessed vacation and loved this house very much! Thank you Tessa for everything and for your kindness & attentiveness even during the season you and your family were going through! 💕

From beginning to end, this was the best vacation our family has ever had, in large part because of the house and the family who owns and manages it! The house was beyond charming and comfortable, and it was equipped with everything from firewood to brand new craft materials for the kids. The owners met us and gave us so many great ideas for what to do in the area, and answered any question we had promptly during the week. We hope to make this an annual tradition!

My husband, adult daughter and I rented the Knight house for one week, and we all agreed that it was a wonderful vacation spot. Mr. Knight's son, daughter-in-law and two adorable children greeted us and provided us with maps and other information. The house is just as described - a little rustic and absolutely charming. We spent most of our time on the screened-in porch, which was great. The house is off the main road and surrounded by trees. It feels like a real get-away even though you are close to everything. It was the perfect Maine vacation. It was so perfect that we added an additional night because we didn't want to leave.
