Situated on the South West Coast path and literally yards from the sea, Rockberry is ideal for couples wanting an active holiday.
The apartment consists of a well equipped kitchen-living room, a quiet double bedroom and bathroom with a large separate shower. It is the top floor of a Victorian villa and is fully self contained. The helpful and friendly owners occupy the lower floors. There is free wi-fi available with this appartment.
Unusually for Brixham, a single, free off road parking space is available with this property.
This apartment is ideal for couples looking for a special place with a wonderful sea view to enjoy.
The Rockberry Apartment is a top floor flat of a Victorian villa. It is fully self contained and has it's own entrance via a 6 meter external spiral staircase.
Brixham is a picturesque fishing town set in an outstanding coastline. The town has a number of good restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. Dartmouth, Torquay, Totnes, the River Dart, the South Hams and Dartmoor are all easily accessible.
Rockberry is situated on the Shoalstone side of Brixham, a short walk past the harbour and marina from the centre of town. The Shoalstone sea water swimming pool is approximately 200 meters away. Breakwater Beach (swimming and scuba diving) is a couple of minutes walk away. Shoalstone beach (scuba and snorkelling) and Brixham Marina are also within a few minutes walk. Berry Head Country Park, a site of special scientific interest, with lovely walks and more fabulous views is a 10 minute walk away.
Brixham is an ideal location from which to enjoy an active holiday. Fishing, diving, swimming, sailling and boat charters, golf, and great walks are all easily available.
There are a number local regattas throughout the summer season. In addition there is the Brixham Heritage week, the Steam Fair and other local shows and fesitvals.

There is dining seating for four people. The living area has a comfortable leather sofa, two comfortable chairs and a large wall mounted flat screen TV with a DVD player. The bedroom over looks a quiet garden area. It has a comfortable large double bed with a quality mattress, a chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe. The bathroom has a full sized bath and separate large shower.

The apartment is a spacious well equipped, beautiful self contained unit. Although the only access to the apartment is via a tall spiralled staircase at the rear of the building it is definitely worth the climb. It was like home from home with panoramic sea views and beautiful sunsets as a bonus.
All facilities to cook and clean for yourself were provided.
Everything you could want or need was in the apartment.
The area was very peaceful and far enough from town to attract walkers or swimmers.
Beautiful short walk with sea views into town, but if you should want or need the bus there is a stop very near the entrance of the property.
Both Gemma and Kevan were fantastic hosts and we definitely will look forward to staying next year.

Inclement and changeable weather is a fact of life for the winter months, but in my little aerie overlooking the sea I was cozy and content. With a longer stay that included days of spectacular sunshine and beautiful rainbows I was able to settle in inside a perfectly laid out apt with the ocean steps away. Well-equipped and cheerful decor, clean and comfortable. Hosts were gracious and responsive. Short walk to the harbor and one of the most dramatic outlooks at Berry Head, not to mention miles of southwest coastal paths. Known as a key fishing village, Brixham has a lot of ...fish on offer, but also pubs and winding, hilly streets to explore, full of local shops On Torbay it is near other coastal towns with access to public transit to get around the Devon countryside, even a steam train! A beautiful place to sojourn, as long as you are ok with the spiral staircase for access. So 5 stars all around!

Fabulous appartement , incredible sea views , outdoor spiral staircase perfectly manageable and safe , very well equipped kitchen , excellent quality bed and bed linen . Local beaches a doorstep away and would highly recommend the little bistro on the beach . Looking forward to return .

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this apartment in Brixham, and it exceeded all our expectations. The location was simply fantastic, offering breathtaking views from the panoramic window that overlooked the stunning surroundings.
The apartment itself was immaculate, with every corner clean and tidy, making us feel instantly at home. The presence of WiFi and a TV provided the perfect balance between keeping up with work and unwinding after a long day, while the full working kitchen allowed us to prepare meals or enjoy a takeout with ease.
The inclusion of both a shower and a bathtub was a welcomed feature, adding an extra touch of luxury to our stay. Additionally, the hosts were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable visit.

Welcomed by Kevan, apartment as advertised, yes the stairway is steep but worth it for the fabulous view. Easy walking distance to Berry Head and Brixham harbour/town. Would happily stay there again.

I had a disaster with the holiday I was supposed to go on, so quickly booked somewhere familiar. The location is very convenient for the town, easily walkable but the jewel is the lido being literally opposite. I was blessed with beautiful weather which helped.
The spiral staircase wasn’t a problem for me (apart from when I arrived with a huge case) but I managed to push it up. It would stop me staying next time as I want to bring my new baby granddaughter & wouldn’t get a pushchair up!

Fantastic views from the lounge/diner/kitchen and even the bedroom at the back was a lovely lush wall of various plants. It was great to watch life on the bay from the flat and wave at the stand-up paddle boarders as they wended their way across the water. Fully equipped kitchen. Central location for walking into town and to the harbour. And right on the South West Coastal Path. We managed to catch a bus from the town to take us to Kingswear from where we walked back along the SWCP back. Would definitely recommend this flat!

Don’t hesitate to book this apartment if you are, I’ve just come back from a great weeks stay there. The place is really spacious, the views are definitely panoramic and the shower is amazingly powerful. Parking is a huge bonus plus the location so easy for everything. I’d highly recommend going and yes there is a spiral staircase to climb but you wouldn’t get the view without some effort and it’s not much of an effort and it gets you used to all the hilly places in the area. Gemma and Kevan are great hosts and I really don’t think you’d find anything better in the area.

Access to the apartment is via a external spiral staircase, a significant climb of two stories but 100% worth when you see how clean and modern it is. The views are something else with a vista from Brixham harbour to Exmouth in the far distance. Thoroughly recommend this property though it's not for anyone who is disabled (due to spiral staircase).

Having done lots of research to find a last minute booking within budget in the Torbay area, we settled on this ‘little gem!’ How pleased were we that we had!
Not being a ‘great fan’ of neither heights nor spiral staircases was discouraging me from booking this property but I decided to ‘bite the bullet’ and book it anyway. After all, it’d only be me and my partner up and down the staircase, we wouldn’t be crossing paths with anyone else approaching from the other direction we’d need to move aside for!
I needn’t have worried, the staircase was fine. It even has a platform midway, so, if like me, you’ve realised you’ve been a bit ‘over enthusiastic’ in your expectations of what you can carry all the way up, you can deposit a bag or two on the platform, carry on up the top part of the staircase and return for the rest of your baggage once the first lot has been deposited at the top.
Knowing we’d have to carry all our things up the staircase, we packed accordingly, bags rather than suitcases, but the owner Kevan and his partner Gemma, offer to help if they’re around when you arrive.
From the moment you enter the front door of this lovely apartment you can begin to appreciate the views across the bay to Paignton and Torquay. We enjoyed watching the many boats coming and going into the local harbour as well as watching people walking along the breakwater to the little lighthouse at the end.
The apartment is well situated being directly across the road from the footpath to the South West Coastal Path, a few minutes walk to the local Shoalstone Lido, whilst Brixham town centre is a pleasant 12 or so minutes walk in the opposite direction ( particularly if you take the steps down to the beach, cross the beach then continue along the promenade and along by the harbour).
The apartment feels very spacious and is extremely well equipped: right down to a long shoe horn hanging from the coat hooks in the hallway! It’s also spotlessly clean.
Reading through the visitors’ book, I think it’s testament alone that one couple have visited at least 8 times! I’d happily recommend this accommodation to anyone and would definitely book again.
I left with a heavy heart knowing how much I’d miss the amazing views sitting at the breakfast bar eating my breakfast.
I’m so pleased this place was still available when we were looking for a last minute booking. It really was an ‘amazing find.’

Well-equipped flat with fantastic views in a superb location. Excellent and responsive hosts. Great swimming spot just over the road. Quiet and tranquil with a lovely flat/easy walk to marina, harbour and town centre. Lots to do close by and within easy driving/travelling distance of other things to do (beaches, walks, NT properties, boat trips, steam train etc. etc). The spiral staircase to the flat could be the only drawback for anyone with mobility issues. We had a really wonderful stay - thank you.

Stunning Apartment
Kevan made us feel very welcome when we arrived and helped us transit our luggage to the apartment. The views are breathtaking; overlooking Brixham on the left, Paignton, Torquay and even Exmouth in the far distance. The king size bed was so amazingly comfortable in a very roomy bedroom. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and it's truly clear that the owners care very much about accommodation standards. Will surely want to visit again.

The apartment was excellent, and the views from the kitchen/lounge were simply stunning. This was our first stay in Brixham and we enjoyed it hugely. Excellent walking, lovely town with plenty of places to get refreshments and very pleasant people. Thoroughly recommend.
