We booked a suite so we had two rooms with a kitchenette. There was a Nespresso machine but I think they must also include a kettle for those who don't enjoy just coffee. The bathroom had ample space, good water pressure and temperature and the beds were comfortable. Ample wardrobe space as well, a safe that works!!!. The location is excellent and around it there are many pubs where good food is served at good prices. The breakfast can improve but still is very good.
Nothing in particular

The location is excellent, can walk to Old Town , Parliament Hose etc . Many eateries around . Transportation right at front door .
The furniture and decor is a bit dated , not very cosy , a bit depressing .

Nice size room, clean with good facilities. Tv in lounge and bedroom. Safe in room. Reasonable curtains in bedroom to exclude light. Large bathroom with walk in Shower that didn’t leak. Cafes and bars close by, approx 15 mins walk to major tourist attractions. Decent size fridge that actually kept things cold.
Main issue is that room was booked because of promised views of old town…..strictly there is a view, but this is only of a tatty street across the road, which is within the old town because of the hotels location. We booked an executive suite and expected a panoramic view. The hotel is on the corner of a busy boulevard, so there is traffic noise and there must be a hospital or fire station nearby as sirens can often be heard throughout day and night. Our room, 209, had a door that sticks at the half open point……you need a fair amount of strength to open it past that point….awkward when managing cases and certainly not suitable for the frail. The parking is very tight and there is no guarantee of a space although the process appears to validate your ticket for the duration of your stay so that you would pay regardless of whether you could get into the car park? The breakfast was ok, but items did not seem to get replenished quickly and the coffee Machine was constantly breaking……luckily it wasn’t too busy for most of our stay, but this became an issue as the hotel got busier with queues developing for coffee etc.

Location was great and so was breakfast.
The room was quite dirty in terms of floors and surfaces, shower tub was really dirty, with dry residue from past guests that you can see was not washed. There were issues with the drains in both shower and kitchen - I complained about the terrible sewage smell, but it was not fixed. The shower was not draining at all, once I complained, that was fixed, but the shower was still not cleaned. There were large mouldy stains on the kitchen ceiling. The top it all off, a hotel employee who was supposed to fix the door lock in a different room let himself in into my room while I was in the bathroom, which really panicked me and made me feel unsafe. When I complained at reception, the staff brushed it off saying that "it happens". I ended up sleeping with my luggage in front of the door, as I felt very unsafe and felt like the incident was not given the seriousness it required.

I normally don’t leave such lengthy reviews but I feel like you should be aware before you book - there are a lot of other highly rated hotels in the area for the same price. I chose this because of the historic pitch….
I booked a room with 1 bed with courtyard view. I was put in a room facing the street with 2 twin beds….Contacted the front desk when I entered and was told they could move me tomorrow, which I appreciate the willingness to accommodate but it’s also annoying as I booked said room. I slept fine - so I told them to forget it.
The room was huge and the AC was great(much appreciated after coming from Egypt and Jordan). There was only 1 bath towel and an hand towel - I asked housekeeping for another towel for my hair. When my room was cleaned the towel was not replaced - so I asked for one again….I gave up after that. Also - they have a shampoo/conditioner combo which means shampoo.
Overall the staff were not very attentive. I initiated greetings and in general smiles were not returned. I wouldn’t say they were rude maybe just completely disinterested and definitely not welcoming. Not really what you would expect for “4star” accommodations. Had they been somewhat pleasant all of the other things might not have mattered.
The internet worked fine the first 2 days and then I realized it was actually my cellular data that was working so well. The WiFi frequently dropped and then I couldn’t connect for the next 2 days (at breakfast and in the gym it work fine). Again, I called down to reception but received an automated message.
Room service. I ordered the BLT, which was very good but there were no napkins, salt/pepper, silverware - all items that are standard for even the most basic room service order.
The gym has a decent set up for cardio: treadmill, rower, elliptical, and a bike. There is a full body machine, a few light dumbbells and some bands. There are no towels, just a stack of paper towels. There is a water cooler too. They leave the windows open (81 degrees outside in the morning) so there is no way for air to cool down room.
Breakfast was good - but the same every day. Scrambled, fried, hard boiled eggs - potatoes and a type of grilled vegetable - sausage and bacon….and then yogurts, fruits, cereals and breads. It does not start until 7, so if you have an early tour - you might miss out.
The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday…which means the bar is too. They made a really good gin and pear drink. I sat outside on two occasions and had to go into the restaurant to get service after my first drink was delivered. The waiter, Raya, was really pleasant though. Literally the only person who seems like they enjoyed their job. I ordered a Caesar salad and the dressing had zero taste - there was also bacon in the salad, which I thought was weird but ultimately it helped add some flavor.

Location of the hotel as well as room space is one of the best in the city.
Although it was mentioned that two guests will arrive, there was a towel only for one person in the room. Door to the bathroom cannot be closed properly.

Great location! Walking distance to everything downtown.
The rooms were very spacious!
The bed was super comfy.
Well-regulated heating, even at night when it was cold outside.
Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy.
Every staff member I encountered from the front desk staff to the buffet attendant was eager to help.
The breakfast had poor choices.
There wasn't a daily clean change of bed linen.
I'd prefer a deeper cleaning of the bathroom.

This is a fantastic hotel that is made what it is by the staff. The front desk team especially were super helpful, polite and made sure we had a great stay. Nothing was too much bother, we really felt looked after.
The room was superb, we really liked the way it was arranged like an apartment as we stayed for a number of days and the extra space made our stay even more enjoyable.
The location is also very good, just a short walk to the old town with other things such as a little mini-mart just across the street. The breakfast doesn't have a huge selection, but everything was very nice. The top floor space where the breakfast is served looks great and has some nice views. The pub (I'm doing it a disservice - it's very big) has great food that can be ordered as room service.
It can be the case that hotel rooms are cold in winter. No such problems here, every room had a large radiator that allows you to get nice and toasty (it was snowing where we stayed!).
Bed was super comfortable and large.
As others have said, there is a bit of noise from the street, but it was not that loud and didn't affect our stay. I'm not sure how you avoid this with any city center hotel.
The little kitchen in our room was great, but I'm not sure what you can use the cooking hobs for, as there are no pots or pans provided in the room.

Great staff, everyone we’re really nice and helpful, the breakfast was great, the rooms we’re super cozy and comfortable, would definitely comeback.

Bed and sofa are comfortable. The room is huge with a great view on the main street.
I'd improve croissants and jams selection at breakfast
