About this chalet rental

On the ground floor, the large open plan living area has a dining area to seat up to 14 people when the tables are fully extended. Big sofas and comfy armchairs make for a relaxed space to unwind around the log-burning stove.

The kitchen well equipped, with usual facilities (oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, slow cooker) and some more unusual ones too (thermomix, bread-making machine, fondue set, instant pot pressure cooker).

All five ensuite bedrooms have comfy beds with good quality mattresses to ensure a good night's sleep.

On the ground floor, bedroom 1 is a standard double bed (140cm)

Upstairs, the rooms are huge, with high ceilings into the apex of the chalet roof. Roomy balconies come with gorgeous views (mountains on one side, and forest on the other). We have some flexibility on how these rooms are set up:

Room2 : 2x singles (90cm) or double (180cm), plus an extra single bed
Room3 : 2x singles (90cm) or double (180cm), plus an extra single bed
Room4 : 2x singles (90cm) or double (180cm), plus an extra single bed
Room5: king (160cm), plus an extra single bed

The ensuite bathrooms are all tiled, with a roomy thermostatic shower, wall-mounted WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

All bed linen & towels are provided, so you've less to pack.

Downstairs in the basement, there is a gym, with nordic track running machine and bike, a concept 2 rower, free weights and a multi-gym weight set up, ping pong table.

There is a sauna in the gym, and outside there is a hot-tub.

Excellent séjour !

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans ce magnifique chalet, au calme, parfaitement équipé. Nous étions 7 adultes et 5 enfants et nous avons eu largement de la place pour tout le monde. La grande pièce à vivre est très agréable et parfaitement adaptée aux grandes familles. Les chambres sont immenses, les lits et la literie sont merveilleusement confortables et les douches sont chaudes et puissantes. En plus le linge de maison fourni (en nombre également) est un vrai plus quand on a déjà de nombreuses valises. Le jaccuzi est top, le système de chauffage de l'eau est impressionnant, la température de l'eau reste entre 35-39°, donc on a pu en profiter en soirée malgré la neige dehors. Jayne et Sid sont au petits soins et ne lésinent pas pour le bien être des locataires et ca se ressent. Ils étaient disponibles pour répondre aux questions et nous aider à naviguer dans la région.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour. La maison est magnifique et très bien équipée. Les propriétaires vraiment accueillants. Le jardin, avec son potager et son jacuzzi, est également très agréable. Je recommande fortement cette propriété !

We had a lovely stay at this property. It was ideal for our large family group. The owners, Sid and Jayne, were very helpful and friendly. They cooked a meal for us one evening and it was the best meal of our trip. Our thanks to them both for a really enjoyable stay.

Brilliant holiday, lovely chalet, great location

We stayed self catered in the chalet over Christmas week. The chalet is beautiful - true to the listing, clean and well-maintained. Lots of space. Very well appointed kitchen. Massive bedrooms, well set up for both grown ups and children. We were very impressed that there was a cot, high chair and other baby paraphernalia for our 1 year old. The hot tub in the snow was amazing! Jayne and Sid were excellent hosts - even though we were self catered they were available to answer queries and help us navigate the local area. The chalet was convenient for the grand massif ski area - we were driving because we had a 5 year old skier with us - but the lifts are walking distance for adults. Chalet Ski Shop ski hire were great - delivered our equipment to the chalet itself, were friendly and returned to make adjustments during the week as we needed them. We booked ski school and private lessons with zig zag ski school who were also great. We want to go back as soon as possible!

Beautiful chalet, fantastic location

Pure Alps seem to have got *everything* right. First of all, the chalet itself is beautiful. They've been going for about a year I think (as of December 2017), and you can really telly how much love, thought and care has gone into the interior design and fit-out - it's how you'd design a chalet if you were going to live in it yourself, and then some. The bedrooms are ginormous, the beds and bedding are wonderfully comfortable, and the showers are hot and powerful. The living area has plenty of space, comfortable chairs, a great library, and the all important wood burner. The group I went with were mostly skiing, and all thought the proximity to the lifts (particularly when combined with being dropped off by our hosts) was perfect. I mainly ran, rather than ski-ed, and although this wasn't *that* practical in -4 and snow - it's still good hill training and gave me an excuse to join the others in the hot tub with a beer when they came back from the slopes! The more I look at the area though, the more I want to go back in the summer for some proper fell running, hiking and maybe even a spot of cycling - so finger's crossed I'll find time to go back before the snow returns. Finally, the service we had from our hosts could not be faulted at all. You can really tell that this is a labour of love for Jayne and Sid, and I'm so glad they decided to start this place!

We had a wonderful time at Pure Alps. The chalet is very comfortable, with plenty of space to relax and beautiful furnished. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 children (1&3). The bedrooms were really spacious and quiet with a great en-suit. Everyone had enough space for privacy. And the kids enjoyed the beautiful garden as well as the relaxing Whirlpool. Jayne and Sid were very good and helpful hosts. The allowed us to use the vegetables from their garden for our meals. This was delicious. Morillon and Samoëns is perfectly located. The Grand Massif has a lot of activities to offer for adults and children. You can reach Annecy and Chamonix in only 1h drive - it's worth visiting. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at Pure Alps. The chalet is very comfortable, with great food and lots of space to relax. The Grand Massif has loads to offer which is great as we were a group of mixed ability. The (very long) Cascades run is particularly beautiful and worth doing if it's open. There are also lots of nice shops and restaurants in nearby Samoens. Highly recommended.

Relaxing and rejuvenating. Jayne and Sid our hosts were welcoming and laid back, creating a warm and open atmosphere for our stay. Our room was really spacious and quiet with a great en-suit. The whole chalet was beautifully furnished in a contemporary style with all the mod cons. The area was beautiful, we were mostly walking as it was Spring but we loved the out of season feel and the scenery was stunning. Can't recommend it highly enough!

It is hard to describe just how perfect the balance is between the warmth and sparkle of Jayne and Sid's welcome, and the stylish mid-century chic of the chalet they have lovingly designed and curated. Everything has been thought through so carefully - from the kitchen equipment (we self-catered), the quality mattresses and bed linen, the bounteous provision of hot water in luxurious showers, and the chest full of games and puzzles. Not to mention the book shelves so full of intriguing literature that you could almost curl up on the sofa with a large glass of vino and forget to venture forth into the beautiful surrounds. The chalet is HUGE. As a lively party of 14 we much enjoyed the living space (plenty of room for playing the cereal packet game and building human pyramids, oh yes), and easily fitted around the huge tables for our meals. Jayne couldn't have been more helpful - adjusting the bed layout etc to match our idiosyncratic requirements, and furnishing us with all sorts of useful tips for local shopping, eating, ski hire etc. Jayne's eye for design has ensured a chalet that feels exquisite, but is also totally practical, even with a hoard of children in tow. I shall stop gushing now because otherwise you'll all be booking and we'll never get to return. Morillon and Samoans between them had an array of fun Easter activities to join in with, and both offer a beautiful, old-fashioned alpine charm. The skiing was fun - varied and plenty for everyone of all levels. I'd love to come back in the summer and see the 'other alps'.

We had a lovely stay in this fabulously spacious new chalet. Jayne and Sid were very welcoming relaxed hosts. The food and wine flowed, the living area was very comfortable for relaxing in the evening - and for our 'whiteout stay-at-home day'. Plans for additions to the chalet sound exciting too: sauna and cinema room in the basement! We'll be back to enjoy the great ski area and this impressive chalet.
