About this villa rental
Villa Gagliardetta is a splendid villa surrounded by greenery not far from the sea and a few steps from the Segesta spa. Staying at Villa Gagliardetta is not only living a wonderful holiday in a wonderful place but it is a luxury and well-being that you will allow yourself after a winter of work. It can be a weekend away from the annoying noises of the city, between a thermal bath and a swim in the open sea, a path through the woods or a cultural adventure between Segesta and its ruins to end up in Erice a medieval stronghold built by the Elimi.

On the plus side, the house is very spacious and was clean..ish. The hosts were friendly and helpful, which I thank you for. Fixed the hot water and electrics. The patio is not overlooked and gets the sun until late afternoon.
However, the place feels unloved, it’s a bit shabby. Very dark inside (which might be a plus in the height of the summer) but it definitely needs updating. If you’re looking for a party house, might suit you but it wasn’t what we expected. There was rubbish left outside, exposed electrics in the kitchen, the steps into the pool are not for the faint hearted or really suitable for children. The pool is just on one level, about 1 meter deep. Basic pool furniture.
The back sitting area could be lovely but the views (which would have been gorgeous) are obscured by a house.
The internet was more off than on and you definitely need a car as there is nothing within walking distance.
The local town is great and only a 10 min drive away. loads of places to eat and drink and it’s very picturesque.
Also a great beaches nearby.
Overall I’d say we had an okay stay but we won’t be returning.
I hope this helps fellow travellers and also the hosts who need to put a bit more love into this place…it could be great.

Beautiful house / best owners
Not only was the villa where we stayed extremely beautiful and had everything we needed but the owners Pietro and Davide were on top of that very helpful and helped us wherever they could. They drove us to the store several times because we didn't have a car, this saved us a lot of money by not having to order cabs. We are therefore very grateful to the owners and could not have imagined a better stay.
