About this cabin rental
Welcome to our Log cabin. This real log home is set in a sunny meadow surrounded by the Smoky Mountains and the Cherokee National Forest with awe-inspiring views. This perfect mountain getaway tucked into a private cove, with all the comforts of home with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. It's easy to get to from I-40 but still so peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. Much thought has gone into the details such as the children's room with bunk beds and books and toys. Plenty of seats on the wraparound porch for sipping coffee while looking out at the mountains or watching a sunrise from the back or sunset from the front. One can walk all the way around the house from the hot tub to the firepit, to the oversized rockers, to the picknick table boasting of a glorious view of the mountains. From the hot tub, the view is spectacular. Great spacious yard, boasting of two fire pits!.
On the inside, there is beautiful woodwork highlighted by the vaulted ceilings. From the loft, there is a lovely view of the mountains and the attractive surroundings invite you to sit and enjoy it. The master bedroom boasts of a large walk-in closet and bathroom with a jacuzzi tub combined with a private den, 49 inch TV and king size bed. There is a personal small refrigerator and coffee service in the room. This room makes for a lovely retreat. The full-service laundry room is a definite plus. The attention to details makes you feel that someone loves this cabin and that it is home away from home. Go whitewater rafting, hike to the falls, take a mountain picnic, visit Gatlinburg, just 22 miles away. Come home to a modern, rustic cabin with a typical country-style decor.
Since there is no trash service out here in the mountains, it is expected for guests to remove and dispose of the trash generated. Trash left outside attract wild animals. For your convenience, there are two trash disposal sites close to the cabin. You will pass one as you come and go to Gatlinburg on 321 and one as you get on I-40 on Wilton Springs Road. The signs say only Cocke county residents, and this trash is generated in Cocke and can be disposed of there. If you leave on a Sunday or holiday, you may leave one bag of trash for the cleaners to remove.

The cabin is in a lovely valley with a gorgeous view of the sunrise over the mountains. The hosts were very responsive and the cabin was very clean and had many comforts of home. The neighbors were close by, which was a surprise, but it didn't deter from the beauty of the location. We woke up to roosters crowing in the mornings. :)

This house was well provisioned and a good location within 45 min of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in a quiet area. Our Sibling Retreat allowed us to rest or drive into town for entertainment. Having to take our own trash was a first, but it was manageable.

Beautiful cabin, owners were great to work with and very responsive. A little further from Gatlinburg than we originally thought but it suited us well. We did not get to enjoy all the amenities the cabin had to offer because the weather didn’t cooperate. We will definitely stay there again.

The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Everything was stocked for cooking and cleaning and made the stay much easier.

We loved the thoughtfulness that went into stocking the house with necessities! All of our kiddos enjoyed the house, wrap around porch, and yard! We roasted marshmallow’s multiple nights with the kiddos and the adults enjoyed the hot tub at night! Would recommend this house!

The views are stunning and the property is comfortable. Not a lot to do in or close to Cosby but gatlinburg and pigeon forge are about 30-45 minutes. We preferred the quiet over the convenience.

We stayed at Sunrise Meadows in mid September and it truly was exceptional in every way! Jenni & John were super nice and prompt on answering any questions, thank you! The cabin has a large ramp leading to the wraparound porch and a ramp to get inside the cabin. The cabin is an open concept and hallways and doors are wide. Showers have a small lip on them. The cabin is perfect for 2 couples cause there's a separate living space, bedroom & full bathroom upstairs. The little touches they think of are fabulous & extremely thoughtful! We will definitely be back next year!

Good Times
The cabin was great. Lots of room and all the dishes you need. The only complaint I had was how close the neighbors were that were not completely visible in the listing pictures. Other than that the view was awesome and a great location for outdoor activities!

Cousin Camp
We had all our grandchildren together for a few days. They live all over the Country and seldom get to just play. It was perfect for that.

Fantastic getaway
Our family and another family decided to go to Gatlinburg area for a little vacation. Both husbands do not like crowds or people so staying at sunrise Meadows fit everyone. We were away from all of the touristy things but still close enough to check things out. We loved our time away and the youngest children cried on the way home as they wanted to stay at the cabin. This cabin had everything we were looking for from our vacation. Thank you for everything!

November stay
We had a great time at this cabin. They had everything you could possibly need. Lots of utensils, cups, plates and pots and pans in the kitchen. We enjoyed using the grill outside and antique stove worked great! We ended up bringing the keurig upstairs down into the kitchen to use daily. The House was very clean and provided paper towels and disinfectant spray to clean up. I also liked having the vacuum on premise to clean up after the little ones. We were able to do a load of laundry and detergent was provided. The property was beautiful and the hot tub was an added bonus. I enjoy staying at places that provide the essentials. We would love to come back again!

Family retreat
I can’t say enough good things about the cabin! It was everything the description states. You can tell the renters put a lot of time and thought into the little things. I took my elderly aunts up, along with my 17 year old daughter and everyone enjoyed it. It worked very well with my aunts walkers as well. From the kitchen to the bathrooms everything had everything you could need. Thanks for such a memorable trip!

Wonderful cabin
This cabin is beautiful, and it was the perfect size for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids(ages 6-12). The kitchen was well stocked, and the table and seating area had enough room for everyone to sit comfortably. It was tastefully decorated with intention and thought - so adorable. The kids loved the Critter Corner room. The first floor layout and convenient parking were perfect for my parents who have bad knees - no stairs for them at all since they were in the Mama Bear room. I can’t say enough about the view - seriously, wow! We loved all of the seating on the porch - it was so peaceful. The desk in the loft was a nice touch. We appreciated having wood to have a fire in the fire pit out front under the beautiful starlit sky.
The hosts were so friendly and helpful. They provided so many amenities that we usually bring ourselves. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to several friends.
Cosby, Tennessee is a wonderful place to stay in the Smokies. It is accessible, but not in the middle of everything (and everyone). We recommend the Nature Trail and Hen Wallow Falls (both take off near the Cosby Campground which is about 20 minutes from the cabin), the Foothills Parkway, and The Roaring Fork Motor Trail.

Great!
We went for a family birthday weekend and we were not disappointed! We had a great time and the cabin was awesome. My only issue was that the bench seating at the table was unstable so be cautious with that.

Would not recommend
Debated about writing a review. We traveled as a group of 8. Check in was easy, as the owners live next door -within feet. The house was nice, but was uncomfortable and layout was awkward. We felt like we were being watched when sitting outside, the house was so close to the family’s home. First night tried washing dishes and noticed there was no hot water. Well, they sent someone to fix the tank- and afterHOURS of loud pounding it couldn’t be fixed. Needless to say- we had NO hot water the entire stay. Eight people, four days- NO SHOWERS. We couldn’t use the nice bath tub which was extremely disappointing. Water was ICE cold. Shower doors were both broken as well (not that it mattered as we couldn’t use them!) Owners offered to let us shower at their house- Amidst the Covid pandemic. No thanks, we all quarantined for months in preparation for that trip. It was the worst experience ever. Not one bit relaxing. After all that, we only received a $200 refund and a $25 gift card (we were told it was $50.) and tried to be gracious however we still felt it was not fair. To go four full days without warm water for the shower was unacceptable.

Quiet Family Spot
We enjoyed our stay at Sunrise Meadow Cabin and are so glad we discovered it. The cabin meet all our needs as several generations gathered and especially needing a handicap friendly accommodation. We discovered some nice hiking spots nearby as well as a drive on the Foothills Parkway. Cabin was well stocked in the kitchen for cooking. Very nice experience.

Wedding weekend!
The property was perfect! Centrally located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Views are great and we really enjoyed having our breakfast and coffee on the porch in the mornings. And enjoyed the fire pits at night after getting back from wedding activities!! I was very impressed with how the cabin was stocked with everything! And the kid friendly room was perfect for my nephew. He loved all the books and toys! We will definitely stay here again if in the area!!

Had a great stay!!
We loved our stay at Sunrise Meadow! This was our first time to stay at a rental and had a great time. The property was so clean and had little amenities we didn’t expect; we really overpacked. :) We weren’t sure what to expect so we brought paper towels, trash bags, soap, etc. They had everything we would need. The house and surrounding area were very clean and well kept. We were a little disappointed by how close the other homes were and that construction was going on and we could see from our window; but definitely not the properties fault. Kids had a great time and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely recommend this property and stay at it again.

Beautiful property in a gorgeous location.
Spent a girls' holiday at the Sunrise Meadow Cabin. It is incredibly well fitted out...really did not need to bring the tp or the soap or anything else for that matter. Great kitchen as well. Owners were very helpful. The only thing I missed was a 'view' of the gorgeous Smokies but you can't have it all.

Girls' trip in July
My friend and I scheduled a trip with our 4 adult daughters in mid-July. From start to finish, we couldn't have asked for more regarding communication. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our trip, via email or text. When we arrived, one of the owners was passing by and told us hello. When we entered the cabin, we were amazed at the warm welcome feeling we felt, just as other reviews mentioned. Our group very much enjoyed the fire pit, hot-tub, and rocking chairs on the wrap-around porch and Roku on the TV. We chatted, relaxed, read and played a game on the porch. We watched a movie on NetFlix and brought some DVD's also. We were there for 4 nights. On 2 of the days, we did activities that were amazing - tubing, zip-lining and white-water rafting. Wasn't sure how the river water temperature would be for tubing and rafting, but it was amazing and refreshing at the time we went. We chilled on our last full day and that was wonderful, as well. Three of the girls went for a walk in the area. We had concerns with the hot tub being too hot, and contacted the owner a few times. Someone immediately came over and tried to rectify the problem, and continuous communication occurred, until resolved. In the end, the water temperature was very nice and we enjoyed. The scenery was beautiful, the direction signage was great as we neared the cabin. We made dinner 3 of the 4 nights we were there and found everything we might need. The kitchen was well-stocked, from utensils and pots, to common cooking spices one may use for cooking. It was also nice that the sheets and towels (both bath & hot-tub), and kitchen towels were provided. We washed them a time or 2, in the washer and dryer provided. One of the owners, Jenni, stopped by the morning we left and wanted to make sure that the cabin met our expectations. The cabin was comfortable and felt safe. Can't say enough about this cabin, the area and the owners (family-owned). I would book this cabin again in the future. Thanks for the memories made in your nestled cabin in the TN mountains!

Great Stay!
We had 7 teenagers and 3 adults. The log home was just right for us. We enjoyed coffee on the wrap around porch and watched the sun rise and set each day. The kids enjoyed the fire pit and hanging out on the porch. We grilled out two of the nights. We were close enough to the trails to hike and zip line. The owners made sure we had a great stay.

Peaceful Bliss
This cabin was just what we wanted. Close to grocery store but still out in nature. We loved our stay. We didnt want to be surrounded with a ton of people in Gatlinburg so this was perfect to drive there and return to a nice quiet cabin. Beautiful scenery. The owners were super responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect family vacation
My husband and kids stayed here for a few nights on our Smoky Mountains vacation. The cabin is a dream. Perfect for our family. Beautiful views, loved the porch, hot tub, big yard and coziness of the cabin.
We had some rainy days on our trip and loved that the cabin had everything we needed to just lay low and enjoy some family time. The only downside is that it’s kind of off the beaten path. A lot of the hikes, restaurants, and shopping that we were looking for required a bit of driving. But, we didn’t really mind because the scenery was so beautiful.
The check in and checkout process was easy and the owners are very responsive. Overall great experience!!!

Amazing experience
My goal was to have my kids experience the magic of Tennessee and our stay here helped achieve that! There is not one negative thing I can possibly say about this place! The attention to detail and thoughtfulness of thinking ahead for their guests make “working” with John & Jenni enjoyable. We will def be back! Thank you for delivering exactly what you said and more!
