We had the best of time. Stayed for a month. The owners Marco and Daniela could not have been nicer. The home is a dream. We took morning dips every morning in the lake and walked 2 miles into Varenna every morning for coffee (and back).

We loved our stay at this charming property! The views are stunning. The outdoor space is so welcoming and comfortable. The easy lake access is unique and was really fun for our kids. Our family loved swimming in the lake then coming back to warm up on the turf. Daniella and Marco are fantastic hosts who kindly welcomed us with champagne and snacks. We did have to take a taxi to town each time, but the hosts provided drivers we could contact via Whatsapp. The taxis were a bit of a pain, but totally worth it to stay at this property. We loved it!

A beautiful house with a beautiful view. The A/C works great as does the W/D. The kitchen could use a few more supplies as we cooked every night.
The photos don't show it but the house is on a busy road. The owners live upstairs and there is a renter downstairs. The walk into Varenna is difficult as there are few sidewalks. I recommend renting E-bikes for the trip into Varenna.
Overall a wonderful place to stay with a small family.

A fabulous apartment to share with family and friends. Lovely garden and sun room with lots of seating options to enjoy the incredible views of the lake. Marco is an excellent host and was really accommodating. The little tunnel down to the beach was a great surprise and it was wonderful to have such easy access to lake swimming. A wonderful place to just relax or to explore Lake Como.

There were four of us traveling (adults 45+ yrs old). The pictures are beautiful but being there and seeing the view was even better than what we were expecting! Marco and Daniella were incredible hosts! They were there to great us and explain how everything worked and gave us the keys. They even gave us a nice basket of goodies and a bottle of Prosecco. We had everything we needed and more from dishes and towels to wine bottle openers and toaster, the washer and dryer really came through for us as we were on a 12 day trip and needed to refresh items of clothing. We asked Marco about a cooking class that might be nearby and he suggested a friend who was a world class chef that could come to the home and teach us in private. It wound up being the highlight of the trip! The chef was very professional! He brought us all souvenir aprons and a book of the recipes we were learning. He thought us how to make Tiramisou, Gnocci and Padta Bolognese from scratch including the sauces (Pesto, Meat sauce). It was so much fun! We can’t thank Marco and Daniella enough for opening their home to us and allowing us the trip we will always remember!

We loved Marco’s apartment!! We were in awe of the beautiful views from every room. The indoor/outdoor seating areas were perfect. The location was great. Some nights we walked to dinner and others we took a taxi. We loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone considering it.

We absolutely loved this apartment! The outdoor space and view can’t be beat! The apartment is beautiful and very clean. It is located about a mile out of town and it is quiet and peaceful. Be sure to arrange your taxis the day before. Marco was very helpful when arranging our airport transfers and the welcome package was a nice touch. Thank you for a beautiful stay!

This property is just as advertised! Beautiful property just south of Varenna. Everything was updated and clean. The patio is private and a great spot to enjoy the view of Lake Como. Marco and his wife are fantastic hosts. Marco even came and picked us up from the train station upon arrival!
Pictures don't do it justice....the views of the lake are incredible from this property.
The property is about a 30 min walk from Varenna, but there were local cabs (contacts provided by host) that were always available for 15 Euros per trip when we wanted a ride.

Lovely apartment with all the necessities to make an enjpyable stay. Marco and Daniella were perfect hosts and left us a welcome bottle of Proseco and cookies. They were available for our many questions. BUT THE VIEW WAS EXCEPTIONAL. From snow capped moutains to the lake we had a panoramic view one that we will never forget. The town is quaint and ferries to other towns were easy. We highly recommend this apartment and location. Thank you again Marco and Daniella.

We absolutely adored our stay at Marco’s home. He greeted us upon arrival with Prosecco and goodies. The home was fully equipped and stunning. The views unmatched. We took a can from the train station but from then on truly enjoyed our walks to town daily. Although not close so beautiful and worth the steps. Definitely visit the one restaurant close by. We had one of the meals of our lives. So delicious.
We would definitely return to Marco’s place.

Marco and Daniella are absolutely wonderful hosts! The apartment is even more spectacular in person. You will not want to leave this gorgeous place. We were 2 couples, and we had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice. All were immaculately clean. Our hosts graciously left Prosecco and snacks, they were much appreciated. We were very happy to find not only a washer, but also a dryer. Varenna is a great place to visit, and the apartment was a very quick drive away. There is a large grocery store within a very short drive. We enjoyed taking the ferries to various places. I highly recommend staying here!

The photos of the apartment do not do it justice. Marco's place has a breathtaking view of the lake. We loved our stay there and would return in a heart beat. The apartment is cleverly designed to maximize space and the outdoor patio area is spectacular. A highlight was watching the sunset over lake Como every evening. Marco was an excellent host and he even assisted us with firewood so that we could have a BBQ one evening.
They were very kind to our granddaughter and provided books and toys for her to play with.
The apartment is located a distance from restaurants and shops so it is highly recommended to have a car. Walking on the road is dangerous as it busy and very narrow. For those that love hiking there is a famous trail with beautiful views on the hill above the house.

We loved the property. Absolutely beautiful views of the lake. Very clean and well equipped kitchen. It is a bit of a walk to get to town with some parts of the road being very narrow. We used the same taxi driver each day for 10-15 euro. Lovely hosts who live on site and very responsive to any questions or requests. Only suggestion would be to have better beds- they were quite soft and not very comfortable. We would love to come back when the weather is better to be able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor area.

The unit with its well stocked kitchen and outdoor patio was amazing. I wish we had spent more time there utilizing the kitchen and patio. It would be a lovely place to stay when it’s raining or in the shoulder seasons. There is a gas fireplace too so it could be cozy in the winter. There is laundry including a dryer and a little fitness room too which could be nice in poor weather when being out walking is problematic. I would definitely stay there again.
Only issue was bath towels smelt musty.

An enchanting stay - learned to appreciate the "quieter" side of Lake Como. Small Fiumelatte is just minutes from several slightly larger villages plus the somewhat larger Varenna and situated on a lovely stretch of the lake. Our rental was simply beautiful with its own access to the water and a private, nicely landscaped garden space. Convenient ferry from Varenna opened up the experience to Menaggio and Tremezzo where we visited Villa Carlotta and Villa Monestero. Bellagio is also accessible by ferry. Our host was gracious and responsive. In all, everything exceeded our expectations.

A phenomenal stay at this lovely, well appointed apartment. We were a group of 3 adults staying for a week. The terrace is such a special living room overlooking Lake Como, we will always remember our evenings gathered at sunset. We loved the beach access and swimming was so welcome after warm days on ferries & tours around the area. Giacomo was such a responsive host while Marco was away on holiday. He made great restaurant recommendations, answered various questions, and went out of his way to help, including Prosecco and cookies/goodies on our arrival. The larger beds were very comfortable, the kitchen very well stocked and functional, the laundry great, the bathrooms sparkling clean and spacious. We could have used a citronella candle but repellent was a help. Water shoes helped with the rocky beach and we used caution on the slippery algae. Varenna is such a great hub for seeing so many towns by ferry; we enjoyed villa tours, shopping in Bellagio, restaurants, private boat rides, a cooking class and more. Only drawback is Fiumelatte was 20-plus minute walk to town and half hour to the ferry on a busy road with no sidewalk so it’s treacherous. We made friends with the taxi drivers Nellie & Lorenza but arranging times for pickups ahead of time was key to reserving them. We also recommend Patrizia with Cesarina cooking class in Bellano, amazing experience with a home chef. All in all, a great experience and value full of unforgettable vistas, relaxation, and memory making.

Perfect house with access to Lake Como for swimming. Mesmerising views and can walk into Varenna. Retreating back to Fiumelatte was fabulous as Varenna was very busy. Road noise was a bit invasive but we where there in peak holiday time. We were well looked after by our host

We had the most beautiful stay end of July for 10 days. The owners were very welcoming, we enjoyed the breathtaking view from every room of the house. The direct access to the lake was another plus for the house. Yes, the traffic can get a bit noisy but that didn´t bother us too much.

We are 2 couples who spent 10 nights at Marco and Daniella’s villa. The apartment was clean and spacious with a huge sunroom; the kitchen had everything we needed; the outside gazebo overlooking the lake was heavenly. We walked into town a couple times (it’s about a 20 minute walk) and found it easy to hop the ferry to Bellagio or the train to Milan. We found a lovely taxi driver, Lorenza, who we booked nearly daily for local jaunts to get groceries or go up to the castle in Varenna. Having the access to the beach was wonderful as the temperatures were nearly 10 degrees above normal. Marco and Daniella greeted us with a cold bottle of Prosecco, and later brought us fresh caught and prepared local fish and delicious homemade tarts. They were available for whatever we needed. We would recommend this apartment highly for all types of stays- just to relax, or to explore the Lake Como area. The only suggestion we had was for a fan in the sunroom. Thank you Marco and Daniella! You may see us again!!!

This is a charming home that is well appointed with nearly everything you might want in a vacation rental. The owner, Marco lives on site, making any communication very easy. Varenna is a very busy town and is your typical "alpine" village. It's a 4 minute drive from this home along SP 72, which is a narrow road making walking kind of hazardous.
There is a reason the reviews are 5 star, and the reason is the site doesn't offer a higher star rating. Book early. You will enjoy it.

Marco is a great host with a great property. We enjoyed our stay at this property and the hospitality of the host. The view of Lake Como and Bellagio from the patio is not to be forgotten. Parking worked well. As mentioned in other posts the proximity to Varenna is a real plus. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful 3 days in Marco and Daniella's apartment. The view across to Bellagio and Menaggio was stunning throughout the day. Made use of the private path to the beach for a daily swim and a lovely half hour walk into Varenna. The accommodation was great and as described and the hospitality topped things off. A great place to get through jet lag at the start of our Italian holiday.

Marcos home is absolutely stunning, from the moment you step out of the taxi to standing on the garden. Marcos home overlooks Lake Como either a view that will leave you speechless!
All the rooms were extremely clean, tidy and ready to lay down after a long day of walking around Varenna.
