We had a great week at Croft Cottage in July 24. The cottage offers lots of space for a family of four. The garden was perfect for our 4 and 1 year old children. Living room is cosy, beds are very comfortable, kitchen well equipped. There even was a highchair for our little one. Many interesting and beautiful sights can be reached within an hour. Thanks a lot for this lovely holiday!

What a lovely cottage away from it all will stay again if available 👍

Superb location, excellent facilities for staying with your canine friends.

We have just returned form 2 nights at this fantastic property. The owners have basically just made it home from home. It is extremely cosy, warm, modern but still old and perfect for anyone. Probably better for adults as it is fairly remote and has fantastic views.
Our only complaint is that we didnt stay longer and will definitely look at returning at some point. Will definitely recommend. Thank you.

Loved everything about it from the Christmas tree being put up to the views
We’ve booked again for summer and Christmas next year

A stunning place, perfect in every way. Family loved the location, and the amenities in the house where perfect. We walked a couple of areas in the dales, the entry porch was perfect for keeping separation between the wet and the dry. House was lovely and warm, the joy of using wood burner was for fun - reinforcing the feeling of being immersed in the landscape.

Loved this cottage - would definitely stay again!

Beautiful clean cottage. Every thing w needed. Very clean.Great views. We are 3 OAP,s and will be going back again.
Little bit messy out side with mud and unfinished entrance but this work is in progress.
Stayed in lots of places but this is one of the best. Liz &Co

We really enjoyed this as a base to explore Ilkley and the surrounding moors. My toddler loved waking up each day to look out at the sheep from her window, and the house has great outside space although was a bit windy when we visited in mid-September!
4.7
Lovely clean comfortable cottage surrounded by fields and sheep with a great view looking down the valley onto Silsden. We will definitely be rebooking again for another relaxing peaceful stay.
4.7
It has been refurbished, spacious and comfortable and excellent location.
On the negative side there is no TV or Radio - just streaming so you cant see current TV programmes - disappointing if you wanted to watch the Lionesses final!
There was a dirty cup of coffee in the microwave and the toaster had not been cleaned. oven pans needed a good clean.Kitchen table had a sticky surface and was unpleasant to use. Cleaning therefore needs attention to details.
Also the hob needs attention - one burner had an airlock and burned yellow emmitting fumes which made me feel dizzy - dangerous -it needs to be checked and you need a carbon monoxide monitor.
The joining instructions arrived late - expected them as soon as payment had been taken not just a few days before the holiday. The instructions from the owner versus Vrbo were confusing, different and not clear . Don't expect Americanese in a UK cottage!
There was no instructions pack for any equipment; no local phone numbers or recommendations - provision of this would improve the holiday.

We had 3 nights at the cottage and wish we could have stayed longer, plenty of space for us the dog and 2 grandchildren! The property has all the home comforts and is clean and very comfortable, would love to return one day, thank you

Our second visit to Croft Cottage within 3 months. Fabulous location. Easy to catch the train into Leeds. The scenery is breathtaking. Family who love in Leeds can visit us, rather than us booking into a hotel and having to leave the dogs with dog sitters. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms are perfect! See you soon Croft Cottage :)

Our eighth stay at Croft cottage - that tells you everything. It’s an ideal location and has everything you need for a brilliant stay.
It’s a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

The cottage is set in its own grounds. To the front door there is a small garden that looks out over a field with sheep. It is gated but if you have dogs you will need to bring something to block them from going under the gate (there's a huge gap). To the side and back there is a bigger garden that gets all the late afternoon sun. Inside, the lounge is full of light from the large windows on three sides and a patio door. Some issues mentioned previously have been resolved. There is a large TV with lots of channels and there was also lots of wood. The main issue seems to be a radiator in the lounge that needs repairing and has leaked on the carpet leaving an unsightly mess. Instructions on what to do with the coals in the log fires would be useful and where do you put the ashes. Also, info on how the central heating works and what to do with the recycling would be useful. Lovely location in a rural setting but close to Silsden, Skipton and Ilkley.
4.7
Great location, not far from the city but you feel like you are in the countryside with the lovely views. Lots of logs supplied for the fires.
Very spacious. Better in person than in the photos!
The only negative i would say are a couple of maintenance issues that have not been dealt with for some time, but didnt really cause any problems and i think is reflected in the price.

A wonderful home from home. The photographs really don’t give the cottage its full justice. Very comfortable, roomy and warm upon arrival. Amy had given the home a festive feel and ensured heating on during the nasty weather previous to our arrival. We were also warned of potential snow so we were prepared. Although wet and windy, the wood burning stoves kept us warm and snug with plenty of wood available. Our dog enjoyed the large garden which will be lovely in the warmer months with super views and not overlooked. Well-equipped especially for Christmas dinner once we found the cutlery drawer. This is hidden inside the the top of pan drawers next to the kitchen dining table. Minor snags would be, wet washing (linen) left in the machine and tumble dryer, food left in freezer and the left hand side of the range cooker couldn’t be used due to a faulty door. All of which did not affect our stay, whatsoever. Thank you Amy, a super home from home where you helped make the cottage feel festive with some welcome, festive gifts and great communication beforehand. We hope to visit again to see family in 2023. Happy New Year!

Lovely property, easy to book, this is our second visit.
When we arrived the cottage was ready but a few things were odd such as a pile of dirty towels in the kitchen?
This, it transpires was because VRBO had told the property manager the booking had been cancelled, so the cottage, technically wasn’t ready for us. Luckily everything was fine but imagine if the property had been let to another party and we had arrived, what on earth would we have done ??!!!!

First of all I will say the cottage is lovely, and the pictures do not do it justice, the location and the surrounding area is also very nice.
However I have stayed in various rental cottages and this one is lacking in the small details that makes the difference.
On arrival there is no welcome pack (first time I have ever experienced this),no basics-milk in fridge etc, washing machine was full of washing, dishwasher full of pots, fires not made up and no toilet roll in either bathroom. I did contact the owner who said she would bring some toilet roll down as she realised she had forgot to provide these, however my husband had already dashed to the shop. The owner explained the fires had not been made up due to the winds but this it would have been beneficial if this information would have been provided. The living room was cold as one radiator wasn't working, again I contacted the owner as there was a glass collecting dripping water from the radiator which I assumed meant they were aware of the issue,we had to continuously change this glass over the course of the weekend as it was overflowing. In fairness when we told the owner we were cold they offered to drop wood off, which they did,but would just be easier if this was already there as stated in the property details.
Looking at previous reviews the same issues have not been fixed over a long period of time-oven door not shutting for example. These are little snags that cause issues for the people staying here that would not take alot to rectify. I contacted the owner regarding where to leave the keys upon checkout and waited around for her reply but after waiting around for 30 mins with no reply we decided to leave (we did not recieve a reply)
Overall the cottage has so much potential to be an amazing rental cottage but the lack of any welcoming touches lets it down.
We did really enjoy our stay and would probably return just because the cottage and location is so lovely, but do feel the lack of communication and welcome is a slight let down.

An absolutely lovely cottage, cosy, warm and inviting. Everything anybody could want. Well-equipped and furnished.
Kitchen appliances are all quite exceptional and very modern.
Enclosed garden is brilliant for guests with dogs. All safe and secure.
Some minor issues but only suggestions and not complaints: -
No welcome book/pack with information on etc., re the cottage or local area etc. and NO manuals for any of the appliances such as cooker, white goods, TV etc.
Searched for 45 mins for cutlery in kitchen, dining room etc. Had to call host Amy. In 'secret' drawer inside top drawer next to dining table - felt really stupid!! Also, no instructions for the complicated range/cooker. Had to call host to find out how to disable the automatic cooking and set to manual. Left hand side oven door needs attention as it does not close.
Could do with a rubber bathmat for bottom of the bath or shower cubicle and elderly people could find this a problem.
We loved our stay and will definitely be returning next October. Amy the host was very helpful indeed.

The cottage is in a wonderful location. There is everything needed for a stay away from home. However the gas hob was possibly about to run out of gas and causing a lot of blackening of the pans, the washing machine was full of washing, and some of the kitchen drawers were very dirty.
It would have been nice and welcoming to find a bottle of milk in the fridge and a couple of tea bags, plus some essentials like sugar in the sugar jar, But we were very comfortable and it served our needs well.

This cottage always delivers, peace and tranquility in an ideal location. We look forward to our annual mini break and am thankful we found this great place to stay, over six years ago now.

Sensibly priced and easy to rent, pet friendly and good location. 2 bed cottage, very nice kitchen with plenty of downstairs room. If any criticism, the cottage could do with a downstairs loo, and a better outside patio area so guests can enjoy the fab ocal views.

Lovely cottage and location
The cottage is much nicer and more spacious than the pictures suggest. We really enjoyed our relaxing new years eve break.
The only negative was that we had to make the beds ourselves. Never had that before!

Croft cottage could not be more perfect for a family Christmas get together. It was warm and cosy - even when we woke to a covering of snow on Boxing Day! The kitchen is spacious and well equipped and the dining room big enough to host Christmas dinner for all the family- which considering that we haven’t been able to do that for a couple of years was brilliant! Thank you Amy for your hospitality and we hope to be back again soon.
