Super Luxury 5 Bedroomed Country House including a Detached Guest Cottage by the pool. The 'Old Bakery' was as the name implies the bakery which served the pretty hamlet of Katavolos for many years. Set in the Olive Groves overlooking Nissaki it has been restored and converted into a stunning home for it's British owner. The house is a combination of old and new, from it's flagged floors, 1m thick walls & low ceilings to the bright & airy additional section of the house constructed some years later. The flagged floors give a cool feel to the house and the views from the pretty windows look like a painting and are simply stunning. During the hotter months, afternoons can be spent in the shade of the covered veranda which spans the rear of the house. From here you can also spend your evenings eating from the huge heavy wooden table or sit relaxing on the wicker sofa's. If sun and swimming is your forte, you will be blown away by the sheer beauty of the pool area below the house. The large 10m x 5m swimming pool is surrounded by flagged patios and an abundance of tropical foliage. The whole area is completely private and enjoys spectacular views down the valley to the azure sea below. There are quality wicker Sun loungers under the covered pergola providing welcome shade from the heat of the afternoon. By the pool is the Guest Cottage with double bed and en-suite shower room.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Bakery. We even got used to the drive up the steep winding road to the villa. Every amenity you could hope for and, even though we ran out of water on a few occasions, it didnt affect our enjoyment. The Villa is beautiful and the setting is stunning. To wake up to the most amazing view every morning is really a major plus for us. It was plenty big enough for 10 of us to stay at without feeling cramped at all (the extra room in the guest cottage was idyllic for 2 x 20 yr old girls!). Highly recommend.

Just amazing! The best villa and holiday ever!

Bakery is a gem of a villa. Nested within olive groves up a hill overlooking the central bay of Corfu, the view has to be seen to be fully appreciated! The villa is equipped to a remarkable standard with obvious great pride. And the pool is outstanding!

Perfect in every way!

Villa is so well equipped and setup with superb linen and all amenities...and the view is spectacular. Pool is sensational. Terrace perfect for wasting away the evening chatting, playing games, eating and drinking...all against the backdrop of the stunning scenery! Will be booking again for sure!

The Old Bakery is a gorgeous villa, well-equipped and superbly managed by Prestige. Any issues were dealt with promptly. The views are absolutely stunning (the long and winding road to reach the villa is definitely worth the effort). The only downside during our stay in July was an over abundance of wasps who came every day to drink from the pool, making entry and exit a hazardous and unpleasant proposition. Our friends booked this holiday so was a little apprehensive, but on arrival we were blown away with the house in every way, the views are to die for. It was everything you need for a first class family holiday, extremely clean with every convenience you would require. The crowning glory of this lovely house in the stunning pool area which was cleaned every second day and kept immaculate by the lovely pool guy. Loved the guest cottage with the old brass bath in the corner. The only blip was a plumbing problem which was attended to immediately by your staff. All in all a perfect holiday in a perfect villa in a perfect location. Looking to return next year so well be in touch soon. Stunning villa with amazing view!

Nothing was too much trouble when it came to booking The Bakery. Jane organised everything for us, including car hire, airport transfers and a private chef. The villa is situated up a steep road but the views when you reach the top are well worth the climb. The Bakery has been beautifully refurbished and the owner has provided everything you could need for a home from home stay. A really special holiday in a gorgeous location.

An amazing week had at the awesome Old Bakery!

What an amazing week we had in a beautiful house in a stunning location. Spent the last week of Summer with our children before they returned to Uni and we were all in paradise - from the stunning views, the gorgeous pool, the outdoor cinema, music systems and the luxurious interiors - we didn't want to leave! The house was so well appointed and we rarely left the comfort of our own surroundings - only once for a supermarket visit, twice to the sea and a couple of times to eat out in the evening - we really could have stayed for ever. A very easy booking experience and helpful assistance when there if we needed it - we would thoroughly recommend a visit to The Old Bakery and will hopefully be back again soon! Gorgeous villa, beautifully maintained. The view is lovely. Pool is unusually large and the owner had just installed a new heater which made it warm in May. Incredibly well equipped with every tech gadget imaginable whilst still being full of character.
