About this house rental
Bergerie Saint Andrieux is a hidden gem located near the gorgeous village of Le Bar-sur-Loup. With four bedrooms (2 kings, one queen, 3 singles and 2 hideaway beds) and 3.5 bathrooms, it is well suited for one or more families or a group of friends. Its original structure, which dates from the 18th century, provides a spacious, shaded terrace that seats 12 or more. Enjoy evening barbecues or try your hand at making pizzas in the pizza oven. The unobstructed panoramic view stretches all the way to the Italian Alps. The pool is surrounded by an attractive wooden sun deck with lounge chairs and a dining area.
Located within 35 minutes of Nice airport and situated on an isolated private lane, the Bergerie is within walking distance of the boulangerie, the outdoor market, restaurants and pubs of neighboring village Pré du Lac. In addition to peaceful serenity and spectacular views, the immediate area offers a wide range of outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking and swimming in the rushing waters of the Gorges du Loup. The beaches of the Mediterranean Sea are half an hour away.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, range cooker, coffee maker, large fridge and separate freezer. A separate bar area includes a drinks fridge. The open plan dining-living room includes a working fireplace and large flat panel TV with the option to watch Netflix.
Bergerie Saint Andrieux is ideal for family gatherings where some will find calm and inspiration from the panorama, others will explore the hiking trails up to the perched village of Gourdon, or Tourrettes sur Loup, others yet will seek the thrills of single-track mountain biking or the world-class go-kart circuit just minutes away. There are a couple of full-sized grocery stores 7 - 10 minutes drive away. Le Bar sur Loup, as well as the other neighboring villages offer a variety of excellent restaurants from casual to more formal if you feel like taking time off from cooking.

Beautiful Villa with fantastic views.
The villa was just what we needed for two families with young children, including amazing pool, outside kitchen / eating area and brand new kitchen.
We felt so welcome meeting Fatima who made everything lovely and helped with the local area information.
The villa is in a fantastic location to make the most of the Côte d’Azur, whilst the views at the Villa at night were truly magical looking down on the surrounding villages.

Wonderful views
We stayed in the house for a week and loved it. It was a lovely house with four good size bedrooms, clean and comfortable with nice and social kitchen and living room.
Everything was nice and clean and the check-in was very smooth. The best part was of course the garden, patio and swimming pool, all wirh amazing views. We had every meal outdoors on the patio and the swimming pool was really nice too. Since the swimming pool area was gated it was safe to have the kids run around in the garden which was really helpful with small children. We also appreciated being able to walk to the bakery in the mornings and the little market on Mondays.
The only disadvantage was that the pool wasn’t heated (which worked perfectly fine for us as the sun heated it up quite well) and that you need a car to get almost everywhere.
Would highly recommend this house to anyone!

Wonderful for a family trip!
This home was a great place for two families to vacation together. The location is beyond perfect, the views are incredible and the house is charming. We had 4 small children with us ranging in ages from 6 months to 3 years old. There were some safety concerns like the open staircase and the iron fence around the pool used as a climber. Notwithstanding those personal preferences, our stay was magical. The pool was great for the kids, the outdoor space and pizza oven were used extensively and having Netflix was a huge bonus. Loved this place and would love to return.

- Great house for two families
- Well keep garden
- Great welcome, including your Powerpoint, milk, water and vine
- Friendly and professional housekeeper, who was easy to reach and reacted fast
Cons:

Great house for family holiday
My family stayed here recently after my daughters wedding. The space suited our 3 adult children and partners. The house was warm and it was lovely to be able to use the fire. Kitchen was well stocked. The view was breathtaking and it was close to some lovely hillside villages. The outdoor covered area with plenty of furniture was also well used.

My family and I found this the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday base suitable for all ages with plenty of activities and places to visit as you choose. We loved the outside area; terrace, gardens, pool and the view is outstanding, even better than you can tell from the photos. We used the outside pizza oven twice while we were there and the inside kitchen is very well equipped. There is a wonderful ice machine which you just have to fill and switch on for an immediate and plentiful supply. For those that want to be indoors there is Wi-Fi and Netflix galore, plenty to go around! We found the accommodation very spacious and there are in fact 4 large bedrooms which are spread over two completely different areas of the house – it’s perfect for one very large or two smaller families. It’s easy to find with Sat-Nav and parking was right outside with plenty of room. All amenities were only a short drive away and you could even walk to the shops via a very pretty 20 minute woodland walk. The hosts were very easy to deal with, responding promptly to any questions. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning next year.

Stunning poolside views, charming house and village. Great access to hikes and 45 min to the coast.
We loved our stay at this picturesque property in Le Bar sur Loup. Perched on a hillside above the town, the home is well furnished with comfortable beds and well a equipped, although small, kitchen. The rustic charm of the house is completely secondary to the outdoor living spaces of this property. The huge covered porch looks over beautifully landscaped grounds and a large pool, out to the surrounding mountains. You can even see the Italian Alps! We spent hours relaxing here, eating homemade pizzas cooked in the wood fired pizza oven, cooling off in the pool and plotting our next adventures. The owners were super responsive to our requests. The multi lingual property manager was a delight to work with and had lots of great suggestions.
We found the home to be perfectly situated between the mountains and the sea. While we love the Cote d'Azur, we don't love all the tourists and congestion. We were so glad we chose to stay a little further away from the scrum, enabling us to enjoy the much more authentic and truly stunning hillside villages in this region. Of course we made the 45 minute drive to Nice and Villefranche but also rode bikes into the adjacent town of Pre du La, and through multiple traffic circles (they are all over the place) to other towns close by: Valbonne, Tourrettes sur Loup, Le Rouret. Hiking in the surrounding area was a real highlight, up to the famous village of Gourdon, and up the Pic de Courmettes with truly stunning views of the Alps and the sea. I don't think a week was quite long enough for all we found to do and discover in this area. We will definitely be coming back!!
